PoliticsRe: Fashola Warns Mend by quadrey(m): 10:29am On Jul 16, 2009
big ups to brf the guy get mouth but he should tread carefully concerning this issue. as for those saying he is just makin mouth let me tell u that he is the chief security officer of lagos stateand we all know the guy takes his job serious so it might not be empty yapping after alll.
as for mend i suggest they reevaluate their struggle before they lose credibility completely cos people are very ficklle when it comes to supporting such causes. as yoruba would say, E MA GUN IGI RE KOJA EWE cos na something else dem dey find wit this their ovasabi by attackin lagos i mean why not abuja or kaduna if u want to send a message that nowhere is safe cos we all know that yaaradua will feel it more if it is ryt in his own backyard.
lets not get carried away by this minor distraction that i beleive will soon be resolved and focus on a permanent way of resolving this seemingly unsolvable problem. EKO O NI BAJE O
PoliticsMend Threatens To Call Off Ceasefire! by quadrey(op): 10:04am On Jul 16, 2009
MEND says "Ceasefire" under threat, citing planned military offensive in the Niger Delta

WEDNESDAY, 15 JULY 2009 07:12 BY JOMO GBOMO

MED fighters

MEND Release: Barely 12 hours into our ceasefire, the military Joint Task Force has dispatched seven gun boats with heavily armed troops from Warri and are headed towards one of our camps located around the Delta/Ondo state border.

If this information from a very reliable source within the JTF happens to be true, the ceasefire will be called off with immediate effect.

We are monitoring the armada and sincerely hope that the planned attack will be converted to a war exercise.

recyclin theory indeed naija i dey hail oo we no dey fail to ovapass our past fuckups.
mr yaraadull, yaraaslow and stumblin
u guys should see his midterm report card on saharareporters and ull undastand why the guy is jus not the person to assure this country of true sovereignty not to talk of defendin our porous coastal areas from attacks from all and sundry
i mean anybody can take a shot at the giant of africa now that weve shown that we cant handle a situation till it escalated into a multibillion naira unrest and disgrace to the pride of our nation.  SORRY SORRY OOOO
and now the guy is reshufflin his cabinet like a blackjack dealer still fumblin at the gamblin tables.  OYA U COME HERE, U GO THERE SHIKENA.
is the guy scared to drop people that are obviously incompetent and put in new people who will at least infuse new blood before they start eating their own share of the national chinchin.

PoliticsRe: Vote Wole Soyinka's Face For 5000 Naira Note Currency ! by quadrey(m): 10:07am On Jul 15, 2009
9ce don talk am say talent dey waste, chei see wetin naija guys fit do if given the ryt opportunities nice work poster
but truth be say we dont need a 5000 note, no sir cos its goin to wreck our already wrecked economy
wole soyinka on a note, no way apart from being africa's foremost nobel laureate the guy is jus an old man who doesnt stay innaija but finds a way to poke his nose into things appenin and comment on them, i mean how do i respect a guy who claims to know wat is best for me in my own haus when hes not livin in the said haus wit me? no beef for the guy but i think he has outlived his relevance and should jus settle down as a revered elder statesman instead of formin vibrant social critic, leave the stage for younga guys who know wetin dey.
RomanceRe: WOULD A NURSE BE A GOOD HOUSEWIFE? by quadrey(m): 1:01pm On Jul 14, 2009
nice fetish, the whole handcuff and bossy syde of a sexually aggressive and active woman in the mimitary or police but i dont really have much trust for them in the wife and life partner dept, cos a woman in the force has an extra reason to prove herself in 1 a male dominated world and 2 a typical male profession. and this could really create some ego issues in a marrriage with an assertive husband.
im not tryin to be chauvinistic here but the fact remains that most guys would run away from even the idea of having a relationship wit a police woman not to talk of marriage.
but i really wuldnt mind getting acquainted wit one, any suggestions? pls contact me @ lanreyflash@yahoo.co.uk
PoliticsRe: Uproar As Senate Cuts Education, Health Budgets To Fund N25 Billion Abuja Road by quadrey(m): 12:28pm On Jul 14, 2009
okay this is just the kind of shit one would expect from a nation of absurds and oddities. but to budget 25 billion for a road and take the money from health and education! Gawd! this country is bleeped.
we still gat one thing to be proud of; we always manage to outdo our former failures and even set records that we strive for a couple of years not to break but always do. naija i dey hail oooo

why  we do we all get so worked up when it gets to islam?
to all u haters of islam Bleep uu and i mean Bleep u  angry angry >:
its very annoyin wen ppl use meaningful forums and threads lyk this to vent their religious bigotry cos how did a discussion on sum ppls perversion turn to a crucifiction of the person of the holy prophet i mean since wen did muslims go about paintin jesus debauched or sumthinelse why do ppl deviate from sense and hype nonsense to the max i will not go into tradin proofs and links wit u guys @Elrazur and the rest but i would really implore nairaland to censor wat ppl post on this forum cos we are supposedly livin in a secular state and if ppl cant discuss sociopolitical issues witout being religiously bias then i think this forum has failed in its primary objective.
ps no be say make una no yab muhammed but whee is all this hate filled rantin cumin form? are we turnin into anotha american war against islam where evry1 is a terrorist, no paedophile jus cos he is a muslim?

CultureRe: Ruben Abati And Banky W: Sure The Former Did Not See This Coming: by quadrey(m): 12:13pm On Jun 25, 2009
okay this is lyk the most intersting thin to have ever graced nland pages. first as a graduate of english from the same university of lagos i am sorely dissappointed in mr abati who i look up to as a role model. i mean our lecturers used to hype the guy as an example of how a grad of english culd make it and be relevant in this bleeped up nation. sorry to say sir that ur relevance has turned to irrelevance as u have bitten more than u can chew with this misguided and unwarranted critique of our generation(its not lyk urs has anything to show for all its mouth yappin). also wat is this i hear abt u being a sell out for a plot of land in abj, that stinks lyk hell and i sincerely hope it is not true cos we still need credible journalists lyk u who wont sell out for peanuts though i advice u sir to make criticisms more constructive and less derogatory. i wuldnt lyk to go into a detailed analysis of everything that is wrong wit the write upas it is shameful enuf already
on the otha hand i am really impresed with banky w and eldee's reply to the article, guys u are too much its people lyk u who give hope to the intellectuals of our generation that we wont be swamped unda a load of crap and intellect myopia that characterizes our generation. suffice to say that dr abati has some points in his article as u cannot deny that the craze to make commercial music is actually affecting the content of our entertainment industry wit guys believing they can talk about only girls, cars, shack and bling. i feel honoured to be a part of this generation of ours that is trying to rebrand this big problem called nigeria and i feel wat people lyk dr abati shud do is to encourage us by pointing out the loopholes and ways of correcting them not comparing us to the failed generation that wrecked it.
to all nlandres i urge u guys to post stuff lyk this more, reasonable and relevant stuff that affect us all and also enrich our minds and entertain and ican assure u that very soon facebook will bcum obsolete as it is really more childish and hip than serious
thank you
