Mr Amitolu shittu (Director General of Amotekun) while speaking with Journalists in Bauchi as regard Putting a Stop to this BOKO-ISWAP Menace, He said: “We will use African science, African science is real. Insurgency is abnormal and abnormal situation requires abnormal solutions we will tackle it with all seriousness. It’s not about tea and bread issue but we have the solutions at hand to defeat Boko Haram and banditry. “When you have guns, you have other weapons; there are anti-guns and anti-weapons including bombs and that is what we will deploy to defeat Boko Haram without firing guns. Wetin be Una View.... |

Kaeboy:Expect your commander to be hard on you and give you what seems like an impossible number of tasks to accomplish. Your commander will never give you a task you cannot accomplish. You can prove yourself best to your commander by working hard and taking care of the platoon. You may end up serving under a commander you think is not a good leader or who is only looking out for himself. If you do, keep your mouth shut, work hard, take care of the soldiers, and do your best to make the unit successful anyway. If there is unethical or criminal activity, talk to the battalion executive officer or chaplain. In almost all cases, your commander will be an outstanding officer you can look up to and learn from. Good commanders counsel you for good and bad performance and set goals for you to achieve. You will make some mistakes and should expect to be counseled for them either formally or informally. Take this counseling to heart but do not get down on yourself. What your commander is looking for is to see if you make the same mistake twice. Your job is to ensure you do not. The camaraderie you develop with other lieutenants in your unit will stay with you the rest of your life. Work together and share ideas so you all will be successful. Whatever you do, never try to undermine another lieutenant to make your platoon look better. For one thing, that is both unprofessional and unethical. In addition, that lieutenant's troops will not appreciate it (and troops have funny ways of letting you know this). No one likes a backstabber. Friendly rivalries can be good for all of you as long as you keep it in perspective. Remember, there is plenty of room at the top. |
10 Success Rules of Leading Troops (By Captain Christopher J Courtney) (1) Lead from the front (2) Put the Troops first (3) Lead through your Senior NCOs (4) Training is your No 1 priority (5) Inspect what You Expect (6) Know what You do not know as soon as possible (7) Guard your Integrity ( Understand the roles of other Leaders(9) Learn to make do with Scarce resources and personnel (10) Remember to have fun and NEVER Lose your sense of Humour For Comprehensive Read-through on the Highlighted points, you are free to click on the Link below... https://fas.org/irp/agency/army/mipb/1997-2/courtney.htm VICTORY IS FROM GOD ALONE |
Your first priority (As a commissioned officer with Subordinates Under You) must be to become worthy of leading them. Lead by example every day and in everything you do, whether it is at physical training, on field exercises, or on the range. Face it, you will have to prove yourself every day as a lieutenant or a 2nd Lieutenant. Put yourself in their shoes and take a hard look at yourself and ask ursef these 2 questions... (1) Would you follow a person with your standards? (2) Would you follow a person with your level of tactical and technical expertise? Do not be a hypocrite. If you expect the soldiers to meet a certain standard, ensure you exceed it. Stay cool under pressure and be a calming presence in the platoon when things get stressful. Remember this when you arrive as a new platoon leader, you are like a transplanted organ. The body (platoon) either accepts or rejects you based on your professionalism and attitude. |

AududuNine11:Thank U for that Observation brother.... Who trains a SPECIAL FORCE for Coordinated Border Management (CBM)... The Security situation in the NW and NE is getting worse and out of hand, so more hands are Needed.. The reason behind my posting the Long Writeup is to let guys know that NIS too are now fully involved in the Actual Frontline Activities and I personally conformed this Also from Comptroller Usman of the NIS at the Muritala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos So u guys should rather brace up and know that the Security challenges in Nigeria now has undeniably escalated beyond what the Military can handle Alone.. Even Sef According to an Interview I watched on YouTube Granted by Major General C C Okonkwo (Special Task force Commander, Operation Safe Haven, having its headquarters in Jos, Plateau state), He said it plainly that Men have been Officially released from the Civil Defence, Nigeria Prisons and Police to aid them In combating the Banditry and Kidnapping Issue in the North west and some been drafted to aid in the fight against Boko Haram Menace in the North East |
The Nigerian Immigration Service on Monday said it will deploy a 2,000-strong Special Force in the North-west to restore peace and security in the region. The Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede, stated this during the passing out parade of 320 First Batch of pioneer Special Force of the Service, at the NIS Training School in Kano. Babandede said the deployment was imperative to address security challenges and enhance peacebuilding process in the region. He noted that special operation in the North-west “was a definitive military initiative”, to respond to criminal activities like arson; kidnapping, armed banditry and cattle rustling prevalent in the area. He said: “The level of insecurity in the North-west zone has constituted a threat to national security. “This training is to prepare our men on how to respond to security challenges in the North-west, hence, we have trained, professionally equipped gallant and fit officers and men to secure and restore peace in the area. “The Special Force which consists of 70 officers and 250 other ranks are going there as a component of Joint Task Force (JTF). “Our target is to deploy 2,000 personnel and this is the First Batch of 320 Special Force that will patrol 700 kilometres stretching from Maigatari in Jigawa to Ilela in Sokoto State.” Babandede added that the service had trained over 2,400 officers and men on various courses from January to date, and tasked the personal to be discipline and respect human right laws in the discharge of their duties. He commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, for the support of the Service and determination to secure lives and property in the country. Also speaking, Aregbesola, restated the Federal Government’s commitment in securing lives and property of Nigerians as well as protect national territorial integrity. Aregbesola noted that effective border security would curb human trafficking, arms smuggling, banditry, and cattle rustling. He enjoined the personnel of the service to enlighten the border communities on security tips, while observing the rules of engagement, maintaining discipline, and displaying a high sense of commitment in their operations.

Vasgas:Ordinance Corps' primary role is the production, storage, maintenance and issue of military stores. Its secondary role includes inspection, repairs and the disposal of ammunition, clothing, technical and general stores. The corps has a training school, i.e. the Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps Training Centre (NAOCTC) which supplies the Corps with the needed manpower and suitable skills to perform its assigned roles. |

Ramirezsarki:I actually understand Ur point brother... But if we look am from the pointview of Cost-Benefit Analysis, Life of Applicants dey more precious than ANY Amount the Army Authorities might likely spend. Moreover sef, to cut down cost on the Army side, dem fit just Include am sey make ALL invited applicants Carry Money for pocket to sustain them for the 2 weeks.. I'm quite sure No one will still spend Up to the Amount that will be needed to Take a flight (Corona-Induced fee hike) |
