Saving 200k monthly after every expense from January next year is my dream. I have sat down to reason, and saw that this won't be feasible in 10years if I remain in Nigeria.

So I came up with moving to the US as an investment I should make. According to my research I found that the minimum wage in the States is $10 per hour, that means if I work 10 hour each day I will earn 950,000 naira in a month.

Also, 2 weeks ago, Germany signed a deal with Nigeria to send back home all Or nearly all Nigerian asylum seeker. I know you are not one; but the interviewer saw you as a potential migrant which brought about that adevise. He might have done that with sincerity of heart ; may be or may be not. Check if you can appeal and go for it if you can. But tone down while writing your appeal , it cost them nothing If you didn't go. Shalom

seriously you need to calm down. The young man who interviewed does not know you or has any prejudice towards you and was simply doing his job no one has a right to visa even if you have managed to convince yourself that you are entitled to one based on your documents. Do you really think the young man is the one granting and refusing visas all he can do is recommend for approval or refusal based on your documents and your response during the interview and the interview transcripts are still subject to a review and further assessment by a very experienced visa officer before a final decision. Try to refrain from insulting the man and rather give a detailed account of the interview and lets delibrate and see how any further application can be improved.

I am sorry sir, i can't say more than i have said here, even if i wanted to, not with all the negative comments here.

sorry to bust your bubble but tourist visas do not have the right to appeal IIRC very limited visa categories have that privilege but i am happy to be wrong though. it is always on you the applicant to convince the interviewer of your intentions and the assessment is not based solely on submitted documents it is a combination of factors.

Sorry to disappoint you sir, you can actually appeal. I know my rights.

I had a chat with my visa consultant yesterday, she told me that Canada are denying Nigerians visa now including student visa rampantly. She said no country denies student visa if you have proif of funds but unfortunately because of "Nigerians Bad Image" abroad especially their recent activities in Canada, the Canadian government is forced to reject visa applications even student visas.

Unfortunately, i got a reply from Germany today, just 5days after my interview and i was denied. Anyway, this time around, i am appealing because i had all necessary required documents, i even got my small writing firm registered, etceteras. I try to update here if i can.

These are all i can remember for now as they didn't even return the documents to me except my passport.

Apparently, the visa decision was taken here by the embassy in Abuja, then forwarded to Home Office in Brussels for approval or something, i don't know.

When i got to the VFS, i was given my package, the only thing they sent back was my passport, my bank statements and a paper written in Dutch stating they had denied me visa because i didn't prove enough that i will be coming back to Nigeria after my trip. I couldn't even read it, i had to take a picture of it and send to my boyfriend who interpreted it to me in English.

My boyfriend called them at Brussels immediately and they explained to him that 1st, the decision wasn't taken by them but by Abuja, 2nd, that i was denied because i stated that i am a Freelance Writer, apparently they need me to prove that i am working in a company or have a registered business in order to convince them that i will be coming to Nigeria. LOL. Long story cut short, Belgian embassy are very incompetent, don't try them. 53days? When other embassies use 4 - 15days!

At that time and spot we ( my boyfriend and I ) decided to try either France or Germany, since he has a car, he could drive there and come pick me up. We finally opted for Germany.

Unfortunately, i was denied after 53days of waiting and calling both the Abuja office and the Home Office in Brussels, despite the fact that my boyfriend is a Dutch citizen.... Details later.

In the meantime, i applied to Germany, since its a schengen state and just this morning, making it 5days after interview, i just got a call from the courier company that i have a package from the German embassy, hopefully, it will be goodnews.

For 3 weeks now I have been waiting to collect my passport and all I keep hearing is no booklet , thinks are getting out of hands and frustrating , how can a country like Nigeria import passport booklets ..

Same thing happened to me in December when i renewed my passport. I had to bribe them 10k so that i don't wait forever as i was urgently in need of it and needed to travel.
