Guys help out o, the p5w I ordered just arrived. The base buttons (as in where u have home, return and minimize) does not light up, as in no backlight in them. Is this normal?

its normal..what i do is to place my thumb on d one i want when it's dark,so i don't miss it.

Sir, it's a good powerbank. It should charge it like 4x. D downside is dat it takes 12hrs to charge 0-100. U can buy any genuine tecno powerbank if u can't go with d downside of it.

I use Surge Powerbank #10000, #3500. It's cool and last well.

how many times does it charge d p5w,and many hrs does d powerbank itself charge when it's exhausted.Some 13000 mah pb can only charge a 2000 mah battery thrice, i dont want that type.a good powerbank shud be able to charge this fone 4 times.

Eco mode is just like greenify app. Click on it and activate whitelist. Then add the apps you always use in whitelist so that when you are using normal mode in power option, the apps won't close. Note that other apps not added to whitelist will close on background. It's also used to save battery by reducing the numbers of running apps.

I've already ordered for this phone but I'll still be needing more info. I've never used a device like this before, is it compulsory that I root it? Are both Sims 3G enabled? I normally switch my browsing between sim 1 and 2 but certain devices does not enable WCDMA on sim 2, hope Gionee is not of them o.

u don't hv to root it.The phone has fonts and a good battery saver,wetin again?@olatunjijnr and shedo4sure,pls what is the use if that eco mode, is it to save data or battery?

it lasts like 8-10 hrs of normal use.It charges a bit fast,like 2 less than hrs from 10-100

I regret to say , this phone heats up unnecessarily, even on 2G and on normal usage and when this happens, it drains the battery. do anyone else experience this ?

my phone has never heated up.Maybe u play heavy games like football or run so many battery draining apps.Check ur phone apps well and google avg's list of performance and battery draining apps to avoid.For instance,i didn't install clean master,Facebook and twitter apps,and i hv no issue of battery drain or overheating.

I thank God for the wisdom not to kill myself with iphone 5 wahala.Selling it was d best decision ever.Those in Nigeria are royally screwed.How many apple care shops do we have in Nigeria as a whole?

slots ekiti doesn't sell gionee phones.Go to world class at old garage or our phones in fayose market. I only checked slots,was too busy to go to fayose mkt.

my dear,i was amazed at the speed of delivery.My mind was set at getting it in like 3-5days time.Its probably because i used kongapay via my bank, instead of cash on delivery. The camera quality is very ok esp in good lighting.Like 4 of my friends were all complimenting the pic i took with d phone's default front camera(no camera 360 or filters used),evidence below.

@olayinkajnr,i got d ifonts....i blame u for mentioning it ,soo many nice fonts,i am even confused.i like d fact that each downloaded font is saved to d fone memory,so even if i delete d app,it would show alongside d gionee fonts.

the thing is,i play more of puzzle/word games,so i wudnt know what u wud like being a guy.The phone has a lot of preinstalled apps,so u wudnt need so much.You can get more from playstore anyways.I use glo 3gb for 1k bb subscription on it.

Ifont can't brick your phone coz it's already supported. It has been activated and enabled in build.prop by default. And since you don't need root access to use it, it's totally safe. Ifont don't really brick phone, only some fonts does. Checkout the ss below
