DmonSlayer10:My comment merely stated the fundamental problem of Nigeria, and that's the first step to the solution of any problem. There must 1st be a Will and Resolve by the various ethnic nationalities to unite and function as one. The task of Nation Building is not easy, it requires ALL HANDS to be on deck. That was the objective of the fruitless Sovereign National Conference. Secondly and more importantly, our leaders must deliberately rise above Nepotism and sectional politics and carry the entire country along... If we can't do these and others, then we should stop deceiving ourselves with One Nigeria. We won't make any meaningful progress as a Nation. 1 Like |

Leadership influences Patriotism. Patriotism means: "Love of Country and Willingness to Sacrifice for it" Tinubu's administration is generally perceived to be heavily biased in favor of Yoruba tribe. &Tinubu has done very little to unite the country along tribal lines. This has dampened the spirit of Patriotism among Nigerians including S/Eagles players. So they can never give their best or play their hearts out. Simply put, nobody wants to "die" for Nigeria. The Ajaokuta & Delta Steel Companies, if fully revived can put Nigeria on the path to Industrialisation. But unfortunately they can't. DSC was all fine when Oyibo were in charge, but things started going haywire immediately Nigerians took over. The Job of Govt Town Planning Officials is to regulate the Erection of buildings & ensure such buildings are erected according to the City Master plan. These Govt officials have all the legal powers to stop construction of any unapproved building. What happens in reality is that these Govt officials collect Egunje & turn a blind eye to any unapproved building. Buildings don't just spring up overnight, so they are very much aware of such buildings right from the onset. Destroying illegal structures is a Reactive action & not Proactive.
