For your info, if these 10ks given to 30 people was put together in one person's hand it will be more productive and might likely produce employment for some few cause it will be invested in a more productive venture rather than sharing it amongst many who might likely spend it on none productive things that means no economic benefit.

Balderdash.......go to any popular market around you and ask the traders, they will tell you more.....a sachet water seller would be so glad to have that 10k, a ponmo seller, an ewedu seller, an ugwu seller, orange seller, an akara and fried yam seller etc......go and do your research from this category of people.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and his PDP co-travellers’ only interest is to grab power and continue where they stopped in their avarice.

Lanre Issa Onilu Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC spokesman, said this while responding to an allegation raised by one of the aides of Atiku.

Phrank Shaibu, special assistant to the PDP presidential candidate on media, had called for a probe into an alleged link between President Muhammadu Buhari and Etisalat Nigeria.

But Issa-Onilu asked Atiku should tell Nigerians why he wants to be president instead “of raising puerile allegations on a daily basis”.

“The PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is exhibiting early signs of depression, resulting from obvious frustration.

Consequently, he is unable to focus on his campaign,” he said. “Otherwise, Atiku should tell Nigerians why a discredited person like him should be elected as president instead of raising puerile allegations on a daily basis.

“President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC, not his programmes for the country appear to be his main campaign issues. Economy: Atiku to eliminate multiple taxations, increase funding for small businesses “For Atiku and his PDP co-travellers, the only interest is to grab power and continue where they stopped in their avarice.

The APC administration is eager to showcase the impressive achievements we have recorded in the last three and half years. “This is the campaign that matters to us and this is what Nigerians are interested in.

The trajectory is exciting as we see a brighter future shaping up. We won’t yield to the PDP’s shenanigans. The obvious strategy of the PDP is to truncate the country’s journey towards economic buoyancy and social stability.

“We will not play the PDP’s game. PDP is acting an anti-people’s script. President Buhari remains unshaken by the desperate efforts being made by Atiku and the PDP to blackmail the APC government.

Everyone who was involved in corrupt practices would be brought to justice. “PDP is not offering any alternative to the progressive course this government is pursuing.

It is actually apparent that the party is not contesting the 2019 elections to redeem itself, least of doing any good for the country, but simply to seize power to escape justice for the grievous crimes committed against the people of this country.”

The Miyeeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), a Fulani Socio-cultural group, has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari as the sole presidential candidate of the association in the 2019 general election.

The National President of the Association, Alhaji Muhammadu Kirowa, announced this at the 2018 Annual General Meeting of MACBAN, held at the International Women Development Centre, on Thursday in Abuja.

Kirowa explained that the group decided to unanimously endorse Buhari because of the numerous achievements recorded by his administration in the areas of Infrastructural development, youth employment and security.

He, therefore, urged leaders and members of the association from Local, State and National levels to mobilise support and ensure that Buhari was re-elected.

The National Secretary of MACBAN, Alhaji Baba Ngelzarma, commended the Federal Government for the robust measures taken by the military in eliminating cattle banditry and wanton killing of herdsmen and farmers.

Ngelzarma said that the association would continue to collaborate with the security agencies in fishing out bad eggs within Fulani, saying “as a credible organisation we do not and will not condone criminality in whatever form by our members.

“MACBAN pledges its loyalty and support to President Buhari for his laudable efforts of uniting the country, infrastructural growth of the nation and transforming the economic life of citizens for posterity,” he said.

He, therefore, declared the support of MACBAN to the on-going anti-corruption crusade of Buhari in its totality, stating that corruption is the harbinger of all the tension and crisis facing the country.

According to him, it is corruption that killed the Livestock industry as well as other industries in Nigeria and gave rise to unemployment, low quality education, poor healthcare and high level of poverty in rural areas.

Ngelzarma expressed optimism that the Federal Government Livestock Transformation Agenda as articulated, if implemented fully, would provide a solution to the recurring herders and farmers conflict.

“We appreciate Government’s programmes of transforming the social lives of Nigerians through empowerment, Agricultural Development particularly the livestock subsector, where pilot programmes of developing water and pasture in long neglected Grazing reserves has commenced.

” He, however, appealed to all the Miyetti Allah officials and members to be law abiding, avoid frictions and utterances that are capable of kindling the polity and go about their legitimate endeavour through harmonious relationship.

Ngelzarma frowned at the sensational and negative stereotyping of herders who are doing legitimate economic activity that contribute to the GDP of the country and ensuring food security.

He urged the media to be conscious of their reportage which had the tendency to cause genocide, especially where herdsmen are described as killers and unwanted citizens even when they are victims of bigotry and xenophobia. (NAN)

Ilorin- President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his determination to rid Kwara state of all criminals ahead of the forthcoming 2019 general elections in view of the recent unpleasant developments in the state.

President Buhari He said this Thursday in Offa local government area of the state, during the official commissioning of the ultra modern mobile police barracks solely built by the community at the cost of N700M and donated to the Nigeria police.

Recall that this project was approved by the Inspector general of police, Ibrahim Idris to beef up security within and around the community following the killings of thirty-three persons on April 5,2018 by a gang of armed robbers in a coordinated attack on some banks in Offa,a development that shook the whole nation.

Represented by Minister of Information and culture, Alh Lai Mohammed at the occasion, he said it was unfortunate that kwara state has been in the news for negative reasons in the recent time.

He said,”Those who witnessed what happened few days ago in Ilorin, the state capital will agree with me that cultists,hoodlums,hooligans and brigandage are all still very much active in Kwara state.

“So, my appeal to the police,as we are approaching elections days,there must be peace, every inch of this state must be free for people to cast their vote.

Votes must not only be counted, it must also count.So,the way to achieve this is to rid this state of all criminals.

“We will not stand by and allow this to continue, we will rid this state of all criminals ahead of the forthcoming elections”

He therefore urged authorities of Nigeria police force to redouble their efforts, towards ensuring that crimes and criminalities become a thing of the past in the entire state

ABUJA – PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari is meeting behind closed doors with the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Although details of the meeting was not disclosed, it may not be unconnected with arrangements for the APC zonal campaign slated to commence on Friday, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

President Buhari has recently hinted that the ruling APC will soon hit the roads to solicit votes from the electorate ahead of the 2019 general elections that will start on February 16, with the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
