mamaron: It's definitely a lot of money! But that's their law.......
I would advise that if you can't pay the minimum wage, then don't take her...harsh as it may seem....maybe consider taking a relative...mother...or sister....or husband
It will be a bad move to take her and not pay the min wage...conscience wise and immigration wise also....if you're ever asked to prove that you actually paid.
I abandoned the idea of taking my nanny for cost reasons too....pele...all the very best. Jst take an older relative |

chinybelle: Very terrible something. I went to the govt hospital instead. Doc is assuring me I will get it for a token if not totally free, once am ready. These private clinics are milking people unnecessarily. Even their very own and cordial patients are not spared. Cordial patients ko, the money is what they need |

goobyparks: My hospital also charged me 20k for my medical records tho mine was to two hospitals so they printed two letters, same content different addresses. This was the U.S hospitals' requirement for acceptance. Then when one of the hospitals accepted me and it was time 4 my trip, my Naija hospital charged me 30k for updated medical report and fit to fly after so much price hassling with them. So 50k in total. I still paid extra for photocopy oo.( I jst weak) Private hospitals can do anything they want. 20 n 30k for fit to fly and medical report? People have mind sha. Medical report is free in hospital i have been to |

Chai nne, its well, thank God your baby is fine now. Its a pity you went through this stress alone. Jaundice has always been my fear, now i see why we should budget above the hospital and doctors estimates. May God replenish you immensely. I know you cant wait to return....e-hugs |

Omodadi2: Yes I know about d package, just wondering that the VO said its high. Someone spent 5500 in total and she said here that the VO said that amount is low and assumed Gov must have paid part of the bill Omodadi2 following up getting ready for your interview. I like that, it will be successful |

Omodadi2: Inviting ppl for interview isnt a new thing anymore so dont be surprised. If you read some pages backwards, youll see various scenarios of ppl who declared, paid, and didnt overstay yet called for interview, i'm awaiting mine too. Got our visas for birth purpose and paid all bills. DH was granted at dropbox while i was asked to schedule interview. Just gather your documents and pray. wish us d best! Seems its best to jst book an interview since u can waive the dropbox right and appear at the counter jst like LI and his wife did. |

U need to complain to the authorities or talk to a lawyer 1st n gt advice on how to go about it. I hv heard similar complaint from 2 people, sadly it maybe same person. People going to houston should get her adress by pm if cnt put it up. That way they shld be ready fr her. Nonsense |

Yes i think it's best not to use dropbox if your last visit was to have a baby or if your present reason is to have one.Saves from a lot of stress. Does one have an option of not using dropbox? i have always thought its automatic as you answer those questions... |

Thats how a friend managed to get info and gave birth in Chicago, as soon as she came back, she started a birthing concierge. I couldnt hold myself the day i saw the advert on facebook. People will pay her to get info from visa to processing passports...when you can research and arm yourself..its well |
