What will money do for you at old age? Because chances are you'll still be alone and lonely with your money while your children and grandchildren will be too busy with their own lives to make time for you.

They'll be just waiting to hear news of your demise so that they can benefit from your life insurance and inherit your assets.
You are kidding, right? Your children and grandchildren will NEVER be too busy for you if you have money and they need money! grin
Besides, the greatest joy of money is NOT spending it on yourself. That doesn't bring joy (ask people who won the lottery). The greatest joy of money is giving it - being in position to give it without worry it'll run out

I'm not against or in support of your argument but I want to quickly correct an error which is your point 2. Levi was part of the 12 tribes of Israel. He was a bonafide son, and listed as one of the twelve according to the bible. Genesis 49 listed Levi as one of them
sonmvayina:
Yes...but they were never given a landed inheritance...
We are talking in terms of "10 lost tribes of Israel".
Levites were scattered in all the tribes, as stated below. So, yes, there were Levites in Judah, but their were also Levites in the lost tribes.
If you count Levi as a tribe then there were 13 tribes since Joseph's two sons each had a tribe.

Judah/judae was a captive nation/colony— first with the Babylonians, then the Persians, the Greeks, and eventually the Romans. There were no rules as far as what the Colonizers could or could not do to their captive nations. So, if it went from being a nation to a kingdom to a province, etc., that does not matter to this discourse. So stop f-cking shifting the goal post! undecided
Ok, that's it. I have to end it here. I honestly don't think you're all there.
So it doesn't matter if, say, the area called Biafra is being ruled as part of Nigeria or is a country of its own. That's the discussion - just as Biafra ceased to exist as a country, Judah ceased to exist as a country almost 600 years before Christ was born! And just as you can't reference nation of Biafra today, there was no nation of Judah at time of Christ's walk on earth!
I have to end it here. If you don't get it you'd never get it. Thanks for chatting with me

How does this passage answer any of the questions I posed you earlier? huh

1. Again, why the f-ck should it matter to me or anything what you think the Jews thought or did not think? Did the Covenant in question belong to these Jews or to YHWH? Why do you keep shoving your private delusions of how you believe those Jews thought, pretending you make some point over what is written in Scripture? Stop running all over the place and answer the questions asked with evidence, abeg! Why do you continue to exclude the Samaritans— clearly descendants of Jacob, whatever their tribe — being considered as far as the people and tribes are concerned? Where in all of Israelite Scripture do you get the reason for this from? undecided

2. What you are suggesting is that YHWH Himself set His system up in such a way that rather than obtain land for their inheritance, the Levites instead got paid from the tithes, vows and offerings, collected via His system, you take that to mean that YHWH excluded the Levites from being considered among the tribes inhabiting the land which He gave to the 12 tribes of Israel? Where did YHWH tell you this— that the Levites were not to be considered part of the 12 tribes? undecided
I am slowly beginning to realize I'm NOT talking to a normal person and will have to soon stop.

1) In case you have forgotten, this discussion is about why JESUS would NOT consider Samaritans part of covenant Israel and therefore part of lost sheep of Israel. That's "why the f-ck" it matters!

2) Levites were NOT given a tribal land of their own like other tribes. There is no area called Levi.
But you can still include them as one of the tribes if you wish meaning there were 13 tribes NOT 12

Thank goodness! So, we finally arrived at the nation/kingdom/province existing, abi? And we know it existed, right? Now, can we move past this, or do you want to keep going on about how it did not exist at the time when Jesus Christ was born, or what else? undecided

2. There was no template as far as the treatment or ruling over of captive nations/colonies back during the days of the empires. Each empire ruled over its captive nations/colonies as it saw fit. If you go back through history, you would realize this and quit trying to impose ideas and rules that do not apply, such as the one you attempted here. undecided
I hope I'm NOT talking to blithering idiot
It was a province of Rome NOT a country (just as we have provinces and states here) It hadn't been a country for almost 600 years. Remember Jews asked Jesus if they should pay taxes to Caesar and he told them to show him the money with Caesar. Also, remember there was that census decreed by Rome durring which Christ was born?

I don't think you actually read what write. You just reply. Here again is one thing they had to do to maintain the covenant (like circumcision):

Deuteronomy 7: 3,6 -
"Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons... For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession."

Even though the Samaritan woman clearly declared their ancestor to be Jacob, the same one that is Jesus Christ of Israel's very own ancestor, right there in John 4, you insist she was not Israelite enough or what? Samaritan isn't the name of a tribe, however, the fact is they are non-Jewish descendants of Israel, so why the denial of her inclusion? huh

2. Levi is not counted among the tribes? WOW... and here I thought Jacob had 12 sons and Levi was one of them, making it 12 tribes of Israel? huh
When did Levi cease to be one of the 12 tribes(sons) of Israel? huh
OMG this guy! I know you can Google these things and see for yourself; you just like ridiculous debate. I told you anybody can consider themselves anything. If Jews considered Samaritans fellow covenant Israelites do you think they wouldn't be speaking to them? Just imagine how bad it'd get for Yorubas to stop speaking to Hausas!
(Also recall the woman already had 7 husbands and her current man was not her husband. It could be indication of loose morals in Samaria)

Levis were not granted any land but 48 cities throughout Israel. They're traditionally not considered a tribe, but if you wish to include them then there were 13 tribes

There are 12 tribes of Israel (Manasseh and Ephraim both belonging instead to the tribe of Joseph) and we confirm that at least members of 4 out of those 12 tribes lived in Judah -- Levi, Benjamin, Judah and whatever order tribes you wish to pretend the Samaritans consisted of. Do the math. What is 12 - 4? Doesn't that serve as more than enough proof that your Lost 10 tribes idea is a myth? undecided
My friend I thought you said you studied? And do you even read what I write? Samaritans were a mixture of peoples and NOT considered a tribe of Israel! Levi is not counted among the tribes, otherwise there'd actually be 13 tribes!

Jesus Christ of Israel said His followers are of the Lost sheep of Israel - sheep. Jesus Christ of Israel is also born a Jew?
Now let's deal with this your insistence on calling him "Jesus of Israel" (so that henceforth you'd stop doing it).

One of the last commandments Jesus gave the apostles was AFTER his resurrection from the dead. It is called "The Great Commission":
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus instructs his disciples to "go and make disciples of all nations." This explicit command was from the resurrected Christ HIMSELF, not Paul or anybody else. A "Jesus of ONLY Israel" would NOT give such a commandment. Add to that his various interactions with, and miracles for, Gentiles, and you can be certain Christ's message and salvation was meant for all mankind!

I have studied all of that that and nothing of what you claim compares to facts of history. I have continually asked that you focus on providing evidence to support your claims, but you seem to think you can bully your way into winning still... why? angry

You keep avoiding my direct questions to you only to keep asserting this nonsense of yours, and I can't help but wonder if you are in your correct mind at this point.

Again, 1. The books of the Bible state that the nation existed and that Jesus Christ was born into it. History has it that Hadrian is the one who renamed it from Judea to Syrian Palestine as we have it today, and this was approximately 100 years after the death of Jesus Christ. So, what part of Google do you claim told you instead that the nation ceased to exist 600 years before Jesus Christ?

2. Well, the "Lost tribes of Israel" myth was created by those of the Religion of Christianity, a myth which contradicts Scripture itself, which clearly proves that living among the Jews( the tribes of Benjamin and Judah) were the Levites and Samaritans. How can 10 tribes of Israel be considered lost when, in the course of this discourse alone, we were able to verify that at least 4 out of the 12 lived in Judea in the first century?
You haven't studied anything or you won't be repeating the same misinformation. See just mere Google below.

(If Igbo land were named "Biafra", after the Civil War it'd still be called Biafra, right? But would you say the nation/country of Biafra continued to exist?)

WoW... You haven't realized at this point in the discussion that your religious gobblegook tales mean absolutely nothing to me? shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

2. Covenant Israelites? What the f-ck does that even mean? Where in Scripture do you get this notion that there exist Israelites who were excluded from the Covenant by the God of Israel, who is instead written to have chosen all of Israel as His people? undecided
Problem is, you don't know, you won't research, yet you're unteachable. You only have in your head some ideas someone implanted in your head and you keep repeating them!

Covenant Israelites are Israelites that fulfill God's requirements to continue being his chosen people according to his covenant with Abraham.
One of those you find in Deuteronomy 7: 3,6 -
"Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons... For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession."
So you cannot intermarry with Gentiles for 700 years like Samaritans and even develop your own religion (Samaritanism) and still stay a covenant Israelite!

3. Well, the "Lost tribes of Israel" myth was created by those of the Religion of Christianity, a myth which contradicts Scripture itself, which indicates that living among the Jews( the tribes of Benjamin and Judah) were the Levites and Samaritans. If we did deeper, we might find that many more individuals from the other tribes also resided in Judah at the time. There could not have been 10 lost tribes if members of at least 2 of the 10 were documented to have been resident in Judah at the time of Jesus Christ. This isn't rocket science. undecided
Sorry, not being arrogant but this one is beneath me.

2. Let me try to get this straight! You assert that the nation of Judea, in which Jesus Christ of Israel was born around 4 BC, did not exist at all? So, what nation was under captivity by the Romans if not Judea, the Jewish Nation? What nation was eventually renamed Syria Palaestina by the Romans after the Bar Kokhba revolt around 132-136 AD? undecided

3. So, what you are trying to have us believe here is that an entire nation of over 10 tribes of Israel was condensed and reduced down to these Samaritans who barely occupied a small community in Judah during the time of Jesus Christ? huh Considering the history of the people in question is contained in the very pages of Scripture, this patch you have here reads a lot like gobbledegook than the history of the Samaritans. grin
2. Why not simply Google when the nation of Judah seized to exist. The same "nation of Judah" (your exact words) you've been saying was around durring Christ's time.

3. Never mind what I'm trying to make you believe, just research it yourself. Or Google "lost tribes of Israel". Why do you think they are called the LOST tribes?

Maximus692:
You don't understand something and to ask is your problem.

All humans on this planet are my NEIGHBORS but only JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are my BROTHERS!

There are two commandments Jesus gave his disciples which you need to think deeply about.

"You must love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:31

This commandment Jesus copied from the mosaic law {Leviticus 19:18} but then he gave a new commandment:

"I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.” John 13:34-35

So according to Jesus the love i have for fellow believers should differ from the love for neighbors.

How?

For NEIGHBOURS i must do whatever i know is good for myself but for my FELLOW BELIEVERS i must do much more in fact be prepared to lay down my life for my fellow believers if the need be.

So true Christians know that loving our neighbors is a commandment as old as the mosaic law {Leviticus 19:18} but the love for my fellow believers is the new commandment Jesus Christ gave us and it's what he did for his friends! John 15:13 compare to Galatians 6:10
No mind am. He's just regurgitating what JW Governing Body (GB) decreed.
Oga, FELLOW BELIEVERS in what or who? Is JW or their GB Jesus Christ? Use your head sometimes
