Kollins11:Omo my brotha, I don't even know why they're disturbing those kids. The goat that videoed them, I'm sure he's a church mumu. |
Goodman247:Brazil used to have regular power cuts until about 10 years ago, when they finally reached optimal levels. Nigeria will get there too. |
SyrusdeHansome:YOU GET SENSE, UNLIKE THESE DONKEYS ON NAIRALAND. |
Chukwumagordian:YOU ARE A VERY STUPID FOOL. WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT FAKE RUBBISH?? |
Naajjii:ABEG SHUT UP MAKE WE HEAR WORD. GO AND WATCH THAT NIGERIA V GHANA GAME AGAIN, PLAYED IN ABUJA. THIS TIME WITHOUT TENSION. NIGERIA DOMINATED GHANA FROM START TO FINISH, AND WERE VERY UNLUCKY NOT TO HAVE WON THAT GAME. GHANA ARE 61ST IN FIFA RANKINGS, SO YES, THEY ARE BANG AVERAGE. RUBBISH. |
julaion:It Is childish to you, but 5 million Igbos are in Lagos for a reason. Maybe if your people made their own cities look more like Lagos, you wouldn't need to move to Lagos. |
Bump. ![]() |
Soludo Must Arrange Some Skyscrapers For Onitsha Even if it's just 2 or 3 to start with. These days, in order to attract tourists and investors, as a state, you must show that your major city is on the upward trajectory, economically speaking, and nothing symbolizes that more than the presence of a nice, modern skyline, with a few skyscrapers placed strategically here and there. SOLUDO, OVER TO YOU PLS. Lagos people no get 2 heads. https://i0.wp.com/ytimg.googleusercontent.com/vi/IPGp8se48mw/maxresdefault.jpg |
Nnannapat:That blue edifice actually shows the economic idiocy of south easterners. + their individualistic mumurity. That structure should have been built in the business district of his capital city, not in his damn village. |
Christistruth00:Don't use erosion as an excuse for your backwardness. |
ayoncox:SHUT UP. THERE ARE SKYSCRAPERS IN NIGERIA GOING BY THE DEFINITION OF SKYSCRAPERS. Lagos https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FNMG3pkXIAAwkaU.jpg |
Umarfarouksalau:LOL |
GCFRin2034:Look at this airhead talking about macro economics. If they ask you to define it now, you will start stammering. The state govts are not doing enough. END OF STORY. You don't see Lagos or Ogun state govts depending on the federal purse for every project. Only the EAST does that, because your leaders are lazy, greedy, imbecilic and corrupt. And they know you, their people, are so dumb, stupid, and tribalistic that you will blame the federal govt, 'fulani', and 'Nigeria' for the wretched conditions of your states. YOU NEED TO LEARN FROM LAGOS, PUT YOUR PEOPLE FIRST INSTEAD OF STEALING, AND STFU. |
ican2020:HOW CAN A BUSH IMBEC.ILE LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO USE THEIR BRAIN? DUMBASS SPEAR CHUCKER. |
One can imagine a situation where Kanu is in power as Biafran dictator, and as children walk miles to get to school, roads are bad, and hospitals dilapidated, the man will be busy receiving foreign dignitaries, and each president that visits him, he'll dash 200,000 barrels of oil. Ambassadors, 100,000 barrels. When the people complain, IPOB thugs would pay them a visit. |
AntiBMC:Okay, so because as you claim, Nigeria is 'dashing' oil to Britain, Niger etc, your man Kanu should now quintriple the number of oil recipients to include all of West Africa and Africa at large? What.....is he competing with Buhari over who can give away our oil and gas resources faster, abi dem swear for una? |
wordbank:There is no Biafra. There is a southeast (or a section of it) that dreams of a 'Biafra'. |
Felimax:hehehe.. |
AntiBMC:What propaganda? They quoted the man direct and he never refuted it. |
Nnamdinomics in action. Can't think of a faster way to crash an economy than to dash away your major resource for free. But what do I know? You have to wonder what OPEC chiefs would make of such a policy. I can't imagine the Saudis would be too happy with such a development. |
. . Biafra To Supply FREE OIL to West African neighbours — Nnamdi Kanu Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has promised to supply free oil and gas to West African countries including Nigeria when the Republic of Biafra is eventually realised. https://d.newsweek.com/en/full/463402/nnamdi-kanu.jpg Kanu also pledged that persecuted Northern Christian communities would be granted political asylum in Biafra to save them from genocidal attacks by terrorists. “He equally promised to give free oil and gas to Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, Ivory Coast, the Gambia and other countries in West Africa and Africa at large.'' https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/03/biafra-to-supply-free-oil-to-west-african-neighbours-nnamdi-kanu/ |
IfnobeGod20:WORSE HAPPENS IN CHINA AND RUSSIA. EVEN JULIAN ASSANGE IS ON THE RUN FROM THE US GOVT FOR SAYING THINGS HE WAS ''NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY''. |
Pierocash:HOW DO YOU KNOW IT IS ''ONLY IN NIGERIA''? WHERE AND WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN OUT OF THE 200 AND SOMETHING COUNTRIES ON EARTH, TO KNOW WHAT THEY DO THERE? IDIOT. |
ojun50:Thank you very much for this comment. Nothing changes a woman like money and power. It completely transforms them. |
kingPhidel:LIAR. When did the FG make that claim? |
jaxxy:The insecurity in your region is your fault. Go and talk to your unknown gunmen and ESN/IPOB thugs. They burnt down police stations and killed law enforcement officers there, as oafs like you cheered them on, so who are you now blaming for insecurity? The thread is about rising poverty in the states. You must be benefiting from the theft of your state funds. Instead of hating Buhari, why don't you 11 million Igbos leave the north, and 10 million of you leave the west and go home and develop your South-East economy the way others are doing theirs? Is Lagos not in this same Nigeria? The other day I heard they've found investment partners to build the 4th mainland bridge for 2.5 billion dollars. Why couldn't your people do likewise for 2nd Niger Bridge? Railway network, deep sea port, world class bus terminals and fire stations, Lekki airport, everything. Lagos is building. What is stopping YOU in the East from doing even 1/5th of what Lagos is doing? FG must wipe your nyash for you, while you sit in other regions in your millions, refusing to go home. Rubbish. Professional moaners. When Lagos state officials go abroad, they are looking for investment partners in all areas. They go there to talk business. Peter Obi himself said it, that when he was a state governor for Anambra and went abroad, his own people would be showing him choice areas where he should buy a mansion. That is what SE leaders and governors do when they go abroad. Nothing else. Just self-aggrandizement, and looking for where they can hide money. Buhari is not your problem. You hear? |
jaxxy:Defence, economic policy, etc etc |
jaxxy:The states are responsible for most things that affect peoples' lives directly - schools, hospitals, roads, employment generation etc, not all this big grammar you are speaking. |
How exactly does a president in a constitutional democracy unilaterally ''relocate'' the nation's capital to another place? You people sef. Make una dey try use small sense na? |
FreeStuffsNG:I cannot tell you how much joy this development brings to my soul. ![]() This is what we call indigenous industrialisation. Now, we will have to gather our linguists and similar professionals to devise indigenous words for some of these scientific terminologies, for the new textbooks that will be published, in biology, chemistry, physics, economics, etc, in the years ahead. What will be the Igbo word for photosynthesis? The Yoruba word for metamorphosis? The Hausa word for discombobulation? It's such an exciting development that takes modernity straight to the grassroots, and goodness know where the high intelligence of our people will go with this..? The effects of this will be felt long after our generation has left this Earth. Imagine in 50, 60 years time, we'll have Nigerian professors of astrophysics who only speak Igbo or Yoruba or Ijaw. Just like you have Chinese professors of astrophysics today who only speak Chinese, and are winning Nobel prize speaking that Chinese! We will have university science faculties, whose instructional language is Yoruba. Nobel-winning scientific treatises penned in Edo language, or Efik. Or Kanuri. It's the ultimate democratization of knowledge, African pride, and prosperity. |
Excellent development. This is how countries like China reason. They don't joke with their language and culture. They don't send English language or any European language. They look inwards in everything. We need to start becoming like that as a people. That is the real independence. |
