By Vigasimple: Also with the greatest of respect to South East, there are two things I suggest they do before their time comes. (1.) rally round one good leader for them to present (2). deal with Biafran question. You either choose to lead and your man be President of Nigeria or just keep talking of Biafra. I personally noted injustices to the Igbo's but so also are injustices to the South south and the south west. Our brothers from the North are master political game player and we have to be able to make them to play fair otherwise they will continue to use divide and rule on the rest of Nigerians. When i say you nigerians are fools and arrogant idiots, you won't try to see where i am coming from. Igbos should deal with the Biafran question ehhh? Rubbish insinuation. Why don't you say nigeria should deal with the Biafran question? is your head so porous that you don't understand how nigeria can deal with the Biafran question? Have you asked yourself why Niger Deltans are taking up arms? If you claim not to know, it's because of nigeria's criminal neglect of their region. Same applies to agitating Biafrians. Come up with sincere governance and develop every region as you did to others, remove some policies that are meant to keep some group (Igbos) down, build international airport, sea port in Igboland that MERITED it, build their federal road networks as you did in yoru own region, plus more, and you would have dealt with the Biafran question. It is your fed's responsibility to deal with the Biafran question and not the Igbo's responsibility. Don't be so dumb to be mouthing off just "deal with the Biafran question" when you are the one causing the people to agitate in the first place. You personally noted injustices to the Igbos which have been running since over 40 years, yet you are surprise as to why they are coming up with the Biafran question? Are you sincere to yourself? Well, sincerity will never be in the same equation with you nigerians. Second, for you, Igbos should rally round one good leader for them to present? Really? When it's Igbo's turn, standard are set, but since it have been you people's turn since independence, no one is questioning standard. You kept on producing mediocrity and lame, both civilians and military. Don't you sound foolish there? Yet you claim not to know. If you don't know, i will point it out to you. YOU SOUND IDIOTIC. Don't set standard for Igbos. If nigeria will ever remain one until the turn of Igbos to produce the president, let the Igbos produce even the most imbecilic among them to rule you nigerians, then so be it. After all, you haven't been producing better, so why should Igbos be made to produce their best for you. And look at who is giving the order, you nigerians. Nonsense!! Last, but not the least, your so called brothers from the north are no masters of political game of any magnitude. they are just having their way now because of the support of the evil British people. They have advantage of military installations being in their area and know they can use it at any time to subdue others that don't agree with them as British thought them to do to protect their oil inthe Niger Delta. (What is happenign in the Niger Delta readily comes to mind) Britain are their supporters telling them what to do from London, and backing it with military support. Distribute military installation EQUALY in all regions (exactly what and Igbo president must do if nigeria remains one then) and come back to tell me they are masters of political game. Because by then every region can stand to fight if they feel cheated which is not so possible at the moment. Nonsense!! |
Okay, do you feel better now. A whole lot of you just don't get the point. Y'all keep proving me right all the time. Well i guess its okay to rain insults on someone just to make yourself feel better. How do you know that i am not an Ijaw man? Taking a neutral point of view enables one to give an unbiased critique of the situation. I will respond properly because you have addressed the topic though. I understand why you would insist that that Niger Deltans control their resources. It doesn't mean its the right thing to do. Nigeria can not afford to do that. Trust me, you are asking for an unstable region if that happens. If resource control is initiated, the rest of the country will be held at ransom. Scenario 1 The Niger Delta (N.D) people can declare independency and stop oil distribution to other parts of the nation. Do you see the F.G allowing this to happen? You are just asking for another civil war. I bet Ibo's in the house know what i'm talking about. This is just one scenario. Rebut it and i'll give you more. The problem with Nigeria is the availability of too many ethinic groups that can not be governed easily under a democracy. Military might/dictatorship is needed
Listen and listen to me attentively. I am Igbo and a proud one at that. Now tell us where you are from and stop using "do i know if you are Ijaw" If you are not hausa, then point out clearly where you come from. I have never seen any other group in nigeria that it's people are proud to calls themselves out than Igbos. Why are you people ashamed of hiding under "i am a nigerian" to spew garbage here and other forums? I repeat, if you are not hausa, as i suspect, then be proud and tell us openly which group you belong to and stop being ashamed of your group. "I am a nigerian is not enough" That is silly. Now, back to your comment above. Niger Deltans and any other region controlling their resources is the best thing that will ever happen to nigeria if we are talking about remaining one. Do you hear that well? Only the lazy ones of which i suspect you are one of them will keep on being parasites to others. Why can't you work with your brain in your area to survive without the Niger Delta oil? Go into production as Igbo have ventured into and make a living for yourselves. Leave Niger Deltans and their oil, let them even drink it and die if that's their wish. Yet is not your freaking business. Do all successful countries in the whole world have oil? If nigeria can not afford to do that, then let us all agree to separate and go our own various ways in peace before it's too late. Why should all nigeria depend on Niger Delta oil? It can only make you to be more lazy. That is not done even in USA. Texas, Hawaii and other states all control their what ever resources and same can be obtain in nigeria if your hausa people are sincere. No Igbo in the house or any other place in the world will agree with you that Niger Deltans are not supposed to control their resources and drink it and die if that is their wish. It's not any Igbo man's problem what ever the Niger Deltans prefer to do with their oil. Do you get that? We Igbos already have our ingenuity to survive at all odds. Have we been surviving on any federal government grant or oil since Independence like your people does? Why should we now start to look at oil of the Niger Deltans that doesn't belong to us? Neither does that oil belong to you hausas nor to yorubas, so everyone should hands off Niger Delta oil and go find a means to survive on your own. If you can't survive without oil, then go jump into the lagoon with you people and quench. Who are asking for war? It's not the Niger Deltans, but your federal government. When you hold someone else's thing and refuse to release it, it is not that person, buy you are asking for war. If you don't want resource control as the Niger Deltans wish, then divide the country and let every go their way and take their various destinies into their hands. Must we be ONE? Is it by force to remain in a country that you don't wish for? haba!!! |
Written by A-town: Someone said that states should control their resources. Are you freaking kidding me. The only reason they want this is so that they can loot more money and cheat people. Do you think the Niger Delta will be better even if they institute resource control? I don't think so.You sound like one of those hausa mallam idiots. Why should states control their resources? It is fact that your hausa people are in one nigeria because of the oil in Niger Delta and you have echoed same by insinuating such garbage above. if their reason is to loot money and cheat people, is there any difference from what your hausa people have been doing since independence from proceeds of oil that doesn't belong to them in the first place? Any difference you fool? If Niger delta will not be any better in the event of granting them resource control, how then is it your fuccking freaking business? Lame yoruba/hausa excuse. Don't you have your own state to manage and make it better and shame the Niger Deltans? Why should what they do with their oil wealth bother you in your own area? We have seen how you made Niger Delta much better while controlling the oil money at Abuja which should have made them not to be agitative. Ewu hausa crying more than the bereaved. Well, all blame still goes to those Niger Delta kai kai drinkers for not knowing exactly what they want. |
youngies:Don't you see how silly you sounded with your so called pointed out? Dike becomes Igbo when it fits you nigerians. When it doesn't, Anioma where Dike comes from will become a distinct ethnic group aside and totally different from Igbo. As i can notice today, Dike has suddenly become Igbo. Same goes with your new police chief that you nigerian's sidelined Onovo to install. Are you people not ashamed of your hypocrisy? Someone was even asking why shouldn't our governors provide amenities like Niger bridge, International airport, sea port and federal roads as if that is the responsibility of governors or as if his own governors provided such for them in their states. Imbeciles of the highest hypocrite order. |
I would also like to know what's funny about a collapsing bridge. Is this how very low our citizens have sunken that the news of an impending calamity sounds as an entertainment |
ikeyman00:Your comment is like of someone who has just resigned himself to his fate and accepted to be raped when he can still fight his way out of the mess. The very way your oppressors knew how to play their game is the way you also should find a way to get out from their net. Don't resign yourself to such fate, after all you are Igbo and we have the spirit of never say die at all odds. On the other hand, who told you that if the illegal union splits, that the same mechanism/status quo will be maintained? Who told you so? That is the lame excuse and insinuation of all hausas and most yorubas who want the nigeria union to remain ONE as it is simple because they are afraid of making it on their own if ever the union splits. As you have bad people in every group, so does good ones. Who told you that people like Soludo, Okonjo, Akunyili and people of their pedigree will not man the affairs of Biafra in the event of split of nigeria? So also do they have notable characters in Niger Delta to man their own affairs. If they don't have same in yoruba and hausa lands, that should be their own cup of tea in the event of split. Why should you buy into the propaganda of hausa/yoruba nigerians that will always haul the names like Ibori, Alamesia, Odili, Uba and co as the intended leaders of Biafra and Niger Delta areas if eventually the country splits? Why? In the event of split, do they still haved to tell you (implant someone on you by force) who to rule you as they are doing today? Nonsense. Stop buying into their propanganda. If you are Igbo, you are supposed to know that an all Igboland country will never waste anytime to revolt against any stupid leader. These people are getting away with their mess today because of Abuja with the connivance of other ethnic groups (especially yorubas) who are afraid of leaving the union to fend on their own. You know they will never join you in any revolt in their nigeria because they are beneffiting from the mess and you can't spoil their fun for them. And by the way, if you are yet to see any of the former soviet block countries without improved standard of living as you claimed above, then you are either lying to yourself, or you are still in the dark regarding information. Countries like Poland, Czech Rep., Luthania, Latvia, Hungary, Slovania, Croatia, Ukraine to name but a few are better off today in all aspect than being caged inside evil USSR. |

RichyBlacK:At the same time, deny the fact that super natural power exists at your own peril. |
ikeyman00:Good thinking? Can it be in same equation with northern nigerian people? They must be afraid. Their nigeria will not last much longer. They must deal with reality. |
Fhemmmy:The bolded shouldn't be in any way your problem if you are not from the south. You can't cry more than the bereaved, can you? You still have not answered my question above. Are you hausa or yoruba? Don't tell me you are nigerian. |
This Ijaw people will never get, will they? Trust this islamist influenced hausa government to your own peril. I forsee the ceasefire beig called off and the oil war starting again. This Day (Lagos) 25 September 2008 Posted to the web 25 September 2008 Chuks Okocha Abuja Officials of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) and Ijaw Leader, Chief Edwin Clark yesterday accused the federal government and the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta of breaching the terms and conditions of the ceasefire declared Monday by the militants to stop the 'oil war'. Addressing a joint press conference at the Nicon Hilton Hotel, Abuja , Clark and officials of MEND accused the federal government and the military task force of attacking the camp of one of the leaders of the militants, Ateke Tom. Clark who spoke first said, "news just came to us that the JTF is attacking the camp of Ateke Tom, inspite of the ceasefire. The JTF is fully aware of the truce being negotiated, but decided to attack again Ateke Tom's camp unprovoked , far away from Port Harcourt with helicopters, killing and damaging properties belonging to the militant leader . The militants have therefore decided threatened to defend themselves as they have been doing in the past." Clark said further that "it is ridiculous and fraudulent for the military to lie to the federal government and Nigerians that it was not at war with the militants and that none of their soldiers or oil installations have been destroyed by the militants "We are alerting the whole world that the militants should not be blamed for any action of retaliation. What is happening is that the federal government is not in control of the JTF or that they are lying to Nigerians,"he said. Clark who lamented the effects of the continued military hostilities in the Niger Delta called on government to caution the support which the Governor of Rivers state., Hon Chibuike Amaechi is giving to the JTF, stressing that military option would never solve the Niger Delta crisis. He also accused the JTF of using the option of the military tactics in the Niger Delta to engage in illegal oil bunkering. Speaking also one of the officials of MEND who was seated right beside Clark said that they adopted the ceasefire to give peace a chance, affirming that the latest attack on the camps of Ateke Tom is like salt on an injury, stating, "We will always find a way to defend ourselves whenever we are attacked." |
Fhemmmy:Your argument is rubbish. The people who has the oil should take the oil with them. This shows that your only interest in remaining in ONE nigeria is about the oil. As long as no other people have access to the oil just as youself, you will be happy to leave. Are you hausa or yoruba? Those who are happy to remain in ONE nigeria. Don't give me that silly crap "i am a nigerian" |

How can a silly country being led by some silly and brainless group/individuals have any potential near ruling the world? The Israeli ambassador knows the truth, but he is only there to make lip service and laugh at them. I will tell fools the same thing if i visit them. |
landis:Yes, even with his madness and no matter the extent, he still remembers (as any other hausa) that yorubas were their partners in war crime perpetrated against the Igbos/Biafrans. So the oil money booty must also be allowed to trickle into the area of their partners in crime while the war victims are left to fed on their own and every bad policy be invented to keep them as down as possible. Until you understand the poitics, you will still be happy like the novice Niger Deltans to be trapped inside that luggard's cage called nigeria. |
Ooo Yes. Until MASSOB start to carry arms to demand in protest for the building of new bridge, this illiterate and wicked hausa/yoruba government will not see any need to build new Niger bridge in the past and at this very moment. Watch until violent protest is kicked off by any Igbo pressure group and see hausa/yorubas everywhere and in this forum term them as criminals that doesn't want to give the government time to build another bridge. When things are calm, your criminal and illiterate government will never work nor do anything positively tangible. But when violence escalates, they will be asking stupid questions like, "how can we build the bridge when the youths are carrying arms and distracting the contractors from working". Obasanjo, a yoruba former president awarded a fake and fraudulent N60Billion contract for building a new Niger Bridge since last year and until now, nothing has happened. This is why i still believe that only, and i repeat, only an Igbo president will take bold steps to bring infrastructure changes anywhere in Igboland. Left for these crooks that we are caged in the same country with, they will never do anything worth doing in anywhere Igboland territory because of the fear of the rise of Igbos. No good roads, no international airport, no sea port, and now, a bridge that will soon collapse and kill no other people than Igbo sons and daughters. Some will come here to insinuate they don't care where the president comes from so far as he does blah blah blah blah . But when it's time to elect Igbo president, you will see same people asking silly questions like "can we trust Igbo president" "Igbos must provide their best of bests as presidential candidate" as if their own group have ever provided the best of their people in the past as nigeria's president. The same idiots will support and vote for the sharia mind infested Buhari who recently and openly denied that Abacha stole any money while calling and maintaining that Igbos most provide their best. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/25/708.html Niger Bridge may collapse before Christmas By Okey Maduforo, Correspondent, Awka Nigerians from the South-East and South-South geo-political zones may face a bleak Christmas following apprehension that the 40-year-old Niger Bridge may collapse before December this year. Niger Bridge at Onitsha and Asaba Though Setraco Construction Company had carried out maintenance work on the bridge two years ago, its condition has worsened recently due to sustained pressure, which experts fear the bridge may no longer endure, particularly these 'ember' months. Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has also accused the Federal Government of fraud following confusion over the award of N60 billion second Niger Bridge, which was flagged off by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo's administration, insisting there was more to it than meets the eye. Confirming these fears, Chairman of Senate Committee on Works, Julius Ucha, challenged the Federal Government, the immediate past administration and other affected bodies to present proof that contract for a second Niger Bridge was awarded, adding that the present Niger Bridge was indeed a death trap. Design and Technical Manager of Setraco Construction Company, Elid Sheidid, who carried out maintenance work on the bridge two years ago, told reporters that despite what the company had done so far, the bridge was still at the verge collapse as a result of threat by gully erosion at the Asaba end. "We were involved in maintenance work on this bridge with European experts from Holland and United Kingdom, and the technical experts said that there is a lot of work to be done to maintain it. We have another problem, which is erosion that is threatening the bridge. We are working with the Federal Government and we hope the problems would be solved very soon. "Contract to maintain the bridge was awarded to us in 2005 and we have done 70 per cent of the work of putting the bridge in order. However, the bridge is under serious threat," Sheidid said. Governor Obi spoke angrily on the state of the bridge. "This bridge, from all indications, has shown that this traffic on it is too heavy and worrisome. Even truck drivers complain to us about vibrations from the bridge." On the vexing issue of a second Niger Bridge, Obi said the Federal Government was lying. "May be there is another document they have, the second Niger Bridge is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between Anambra and Delta governments, which are supposed to contribute 10 per cent each and the Federal Government 20 per cent. The contractor will borrow 50 per cent of the total contract sum. We commenced a meeting among the three governments. The last was held over a year ago. So, they can't be meeting without inviting us when we have paid 10 per cent because that will amount to fraud," Obi said "How can they say they have awarded the contract when we have not been attending meetings and nobody ever invited us. Somebody, somewhere has never called a meeting. What they did here, as I said before, was a fraud. If you flag off a contract you awarded, you mobilise the contractor. If you go to the site now, there is nothing there. We want the bridge built, and we are prepared for any condition to build this bridge. All they did then was a total fraud, because neither Delta nor Anambra are aware of their actions," Obi added. Senator Julius Ucha, who led the committee to Anambra State, noted that, "What we are doing here is fact-finding on the state of this bridge and the issue of awarding contract for the second Niger Bridge. What we have seen on ground is that this bridge is about to collapse. Secondly, nothing has been done about the second Niger Bridge. It is unfortunate that the representation by officials of the Ministry of Transportation that this bridge had been repaired, or that it is in a serviceable condition is not true. The contractor has told us of the risk of this bridge collapsing. And as we return to Abuja we are going to commence investigation and invite the Governors of Anambra and Delta states and the Minister and officials of the Ministry of Transportation, and all the contractors to ensure we find a lasting solution to the problems of the Niger Bridge," Ucha said. |
Fact is, whether Kwara state is a sharia state or no sharia state, Kwara remains a northern nigeria states and there is no amount of twisting by anybody that can remove Kwara that position. The people of Kwara state are happy for their state to remain a northern state, they are happy to be northern people. Only some trouble making elements among them will want to lump Kwaran state into south west nigeria. I have never met a Kwara indigene that doesn't regard him or herself as a northerner. If majority of the people want to belong to northern nigeria, who are you to dispute their opinion? Visit Kwara govt. website and come back to tell us where they belong. |
Noticed how all those against MEND and for JTF bombing of Niger Deltans are only the yorubas and northern nigerians? Scroll from the first to this third page to observe this trend. Yet, those goats (the ijaws and other Niger Delta minority groups) that are being led to their slaughter slabs and being raped and bombed everyday by hausa and yoruba dominated JTF still perceives and believe until today that Igbos are their real enemy. Saw one of them wrote in of the threads "what if nigeria divides today, how are they going to resist the domination of their Igbo neighbors that are breathing down their neck" Can you imagine such a warped reasoning? Even upon their being killed and their land being raped on daily base, they are still afraid of their imaginary enemy. I have already maintained that the fall and doom of nigeria is the fear of the Igbos by combined nigerian ethnic groups. I don't know if it's to support this hausa/yoruba killing and raping of this Niger Delta people or not. They are really the worst of all mugus i have ever known. |
lacrimose:I think we read to understand/comprehend. Read him again to understand what he meant. He never said the woman is not Michelle Obama. But read again please. |
blackspade:I doubt tpia or any other hausa person will agree with you. |
I wonder why yorubas and hausas of this forum are not signing their condolence here for the people of Niger Delta whom are being killed at the moment. I guess the killing is justified and should continue so the oil must continue flowing. My take on this is that no one should in the long run invite the British and the Russians and the Egyptians to come to their rescue and help them. |
tpia:@ the bolded. Lies, lies and lies. Only rich yorubas can get their hands on any Igbo girl for marriage. On the other hand, a poor and average Igbo man can easily marry any class of yoruba woman. Marrying an Igbo man is a dream wish for every yoruba woman. The she/male, DeepZone can confirm this. On your own tpia, you are bloody mixed through hausa and fulani diluted blood. Your type, that is the hausas can never get any Igbo girl to marry. It's an abomination in Igboland. Tufiakwa. On the kidnapping of Igbo traders. The yorubas already saw Igbos as the richest people in their land and so every system must be devised to obtain from them. The same thing always happen at various trading posts in Lagos. Balogun and Alaba readily comes to mind. Are there no other tribes plying their trades in yorubaland? Why are they not been attacked or kidnapped? I guess there is no money from those hausas that knows only how to sell suya in the streets. Nonsense!!! |
Stella Obasanjo died and went to heaven , As she stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, she saw a huge wall of clocks behind her. She asked, "What are all those clocks?" St Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock will move." "Oh," said Stella, "whose clock is that?" "That's Bishop Ajayi Crowther's. The hands have never moved, indicating that he never told a lie." "Incredible," said Stella. "And whose is that one?" St Peter responded, "That's Nnamdi Azikwe's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Zik told only two lies in his entire life." "Where's my husband Obasanjo's clock?" asked Stella. "Obasanjo's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan, |

didn't the eastern regional government violate the accord by buying weapons? yes or noIt's seems you are lazy to read up history, but prefered to come back with yoru retorts. How does buying weapon go against the Aburi accord? Can you enlighting us please? what facts do u have.Since you are too lazy to teach yourself simple thing instead of relying on rumours and propaganda, i will leave you with this clue below and urge you to seek moe know on the Aburi accord and who renegade on it between Gowon and Ojukwu. For long, however, his suggestions were treated with levity by Lt.-Col. Gowon, but eventually it was unanimously agreed that the meeting should hold outside Nigeria. Nigeria represented by Gowon and Biafra by Ojukwu went off to Aburi, Ghana to see if there was anything to salvage before Nigeria is consumed by the mistrust and break down of law and order that encapsulated the nation then. In Aburi, an accord was reached and communiqué issued and war was then as good as averted. Then Gowon came back from Aburi meeting and decided to renegade on the accord and agreements signed in Ghana because the bureaucrats then in Lagos (who were mostly Yorubas) told him that he signed away too much to the Igbos and that he allowed Ojukwu to deceive him into signing what will not favour Nigeria as a nation. Gowon being the kind of person he was then decided to renegade on the accord, then Ojukwu had no other choice but to declare war. If you are smart enough, you should know that this quote, Biafra didn't annex anyone's land nor intend to occupy anybody's land. and this Midwestern route was the nearest to get quickly to Lagos, seize Lagos and bring about the fall and surrender of nigeria so Biafra can start enjoying their independence. were together and you shouldn't have separate it while searchign for your weak and cheap point. u'D think an ill equipped army would be more concerned about defense than offense. trying to seize lagos was a dumb move considering the biafrans need the western region to support their cause. oil tapping during the war showed that the eastern region had it's eye on the oil fields of niger deltaYour so called ill equiped army on their way to Lagos scared the hell out of Gowon who was already packing to leave Lagos until his British masters told him to calm down and stay put while promising him thier support to repel the incursions of the Biafrans. I still maintain that Lagos was your capital then and to capture Lagos would have ended the war quicker for us. You first brought the war into our territoty by firing the first bullets via Ogoja and we also took the war into your own territory via midwest. So what's wrong about our own incursion? doctors without borders was created by the french, also where did all those weapons from gabon come from? the sky?Who said it wasn't created by the French? My question is. Are the doctors military personel? Every other thing you wrote about France and other countries aiding Biafra are only hear say without independent confirmation. Read your propaganda copy and paste again and you will notice that it said, none was confirmed, yet you still swallowed it and believed it. Although the French will not acknowledge their role: Nonsense. Why wouldn't they acknowledge if there were any? EVERYBODY in this shabby capital knows about it, but few will talk: Hogwash. Only hear say. You really think every body in a whole country will act in the same manner? Do you reason at all? I sure hope not to see the day local governments become countries.Typical excuse of cowards that can't live on their own but prefer to be suckers and parasites on others. because codependence of the ethnic groups would benefit all. isn't that why the US is a great country. And India and China are better countries than USA? They are bigger and so they should be better going by your warped logic. and how prosperous are those countries, those countries are usually dependent on a larger nation for support.Botswana, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Leichteinstein, Andora, Bermuda and others are smaller countries than Ijaw, Biafra, Ishekiri, Urhobo, Anang/Ibibio countries and are far better countries economically and otherwise than your big for nothing country nigeria. Every country including Japan and USA, the world best two economies depends one way or the other on each other for survival. |
THIS IS A RESPONSE BY ONE OF THE FORUMERS AT www.nigeriavillagesquare.com IT IS A MUST READ FOR EVERY JUSTICE AND PEACE LOVING PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD. http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/board/showthread.php?t=76754&page=2 SPECIAL MINISTRY IS JUST ANOTHER BEGINNING OF THE BEGINNING!!! THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!! REMEMBER THAT I TOLD YOU SO IN PART 5&6 OF MY SERIES Thank you for this post. I completely agree with you. The bone of contention, as I have written in part 6 of my series "How the Niger Deltans can get their freedom: The Action plan!," available on nigeriansinamerica.com is that chronicles of political events in Nigeria have proved beyond any reasonable doubts that THE NORTH CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!!! I am 100% sure that the special ministry of N.D. is another plot by the north and western countries to manipulate these people and the entire south. I am doubly sure that the new proposal is not born out of a sincere desire to ensure that justice reigns, but TO SAVE THEIR OIL/GAS INVESTMENTS, which are obviously lopsided deals to Nigeria. I have no doubts in my mind that 'it's going to be business as usual. The bitter truth is that Yaradua has NO CONCRETE PLAN FOR THE NIGER DELTA otherwise he would not had started with a summit and quickly take another You-turn to propose a special ministry. He is just carrying out the agenda of his western colonial masters - who are controlling him behind the curtains. I appreciate Mr. Abati's efforts and time in writing on this volatile topic, at the same time, I want to make it clear that MY OPINION IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM HIS. There is more to the proposal than Mr. Abati has written. He has only managed to scratch the surface. I want to believe that he is not doing a PR work for anybody. In addition, the APPROACH OF The federal republic of northern Nigeria IS NOT PROFESSIONAL. I will explain what I mean by this and make my position known in details in part 7 of my series "How the Niger deltans can get their freedom: The action plan! which will be available on nigeriansinamerica.com. I am goin to carry out a THOROUGH/DETAILED ANALYSIS of the new proposal vis a vis INTERNATIONAL ECONOMY, GLOBAL OIL AND GAS MARKETS AND THE PRESENT POLITICAL EVENTS UNFOLDING BETWEEN RUSSIA AND THE UNITED STATES. All I can say for now is that THE NIGER DELTANS MUST NOT ALLOW YARADUA OR/THE NORTH TO BRIBE OR BUY THEM WITH A FRACTION OF THEIR 'OWN' MONEY. They don't need anybody; including Yaradua, to set up any special ministry for them. All they need to do is to TAKE 'COMPLETE' CONTROL OF THEIR RESOURCES, 'RENEGOTIATE ALL' OIL AND GAS CONTRACTS THAT THE NORTH SIGNED WITH MULTINATIONALS WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT AND PROVIDE FOR THEMSELVES ALL THEY WANT. This is what I refered to as PARETO OPTIMAL in part 5 of my series. THE MILITANTS MUST SEEK FOR NOTHING BUT PARETO OPTIMAL!!! I will tell them how to achieve that in part 7 of my series. The Niger Delta crisis is yet to reach a stage when the north, Britain and the United States will be on their knees BEGGING THE MILITANTS FOR PEACE 'ON THEIR OWN, I.E. THE MILITANTS' TERMS.' The militants should hold on to their position and not rush to embrace any special ministry. The most interesting proposal/part is yet to come. JUST HOLD ON TO YOUR POSITION. TIME IS ON YOUR SIDE AND IS WORKING IN YOUR FAVOUR. As I have written in part 5&6 of my series THE NORTH AND THE WEST NEED PEACE AND STABILITY MORE IN THE REGION NOW THAN THE INDIGENES BECAUSE THEY HAVE MUCH TO LOOSE. KNOWING THIS FACT IS A STRONG PSYCHOLOGICAL ADVANTAGE FOR THE MILITANTS. And who is Yaradua by the way to dictate to us or the Niger deltans how they must live or spend their resources. In case we have SHORT MEMORY, then I will like to remind you that Yaradua was not only imposed on us through the worst election ever conducted in the history of Nigeria, but he is equally an INCOMPETENT, CORRUPT, VISIONLESS AND MORALLY BANKRUPT RULER like his predecessors. I wrote about that in part 4 of my series "One Nigeria: To be or not to be? THIS IS THE BEST TIME TO CORRECT THE HISTORICAL TRAGEDY THE BRITISH FORCED ON US. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER AND BETTER TIME AGAIN! WE NEED TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE ONCE AND FOR ALL! IF WE BLOW IT, COMING GENERATIONS WILL NEVER FORGIVE US! Stay tuned!!! PEACE IN THE DELTA WILL BE DETERMINED NOT IN THE AIRCONDITIONED SUITS IN ABUJA, BUT IN THE CREEKS - ASARI DOKUBO. THIS IS JUST THE END OF THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHER BEGINNING!!! |
