Whathuh

Nigerians are too special to talk down to?

Anyway, no list is complete in my view except it includes:
1) Not hard working, has very low productivity
2) Everybody is to be blamed but themselves
3) Wants work or money the easy and painless way
4) Although criticises poor standards, he/she celebrates national mediocrity
5) Has indefatigable spirit
6) Can find a million excuse why something can or has not improved when it is easier to find one simple change to improve it.
Your list is perculiar to one section of the country and i don't know why you refuse to name that section to shame satan.

Do you see them celebrating your papa yar'adua's new mediocre ministry creation? If they can't see that you and your illiterate people are cheating them and that makes you happy, then sorry to disappoint you, i must have to remind them. This 419 by your awusa people against my Niger Delta neighbors is long over due and it's not accepted anywhere in Igboland, so i must talk.

You will see those dunce Niger Deltans jubulating over this. Somebody is holding your wealth and yourself to ransome and creating things like this to keep prolonging his hold on you and your wealth, yet you come here to tell us how he is better than the other master. Keep sleeping. So, now what happens to the Niger Delta Development Commission and the Niger delta Governors? You people will go in history as the biggest mugus of the hausa/fulanis, after all, they fought and liberated you. Just create one ministry for you and see all of you people troop into the streets to cheer your masters on.

Quotasystem, your tribalism is too much abeg. Sometimes, it takes over your rational thinking.
This Ibime sef, you don't get it, do you? Where is my tribalism here? For advocating what i think will be better for your people instead on living in your miserable situation under outside force's rulership, (yes, hausa and yorubas are outside forces)  then i become a tribalist? You prefer that i applaud you for sleeping when you are supposed to be awake and grab your destiny into your hands? Sorry, i am Igbo and we hate cheating by any group against us or against any other group. I will say what i think is good, whether you like it or not. If you think that's being tribalistic, then let me be for all i care.

It is not about being ruled by an outside force. An Ijaw country is not a viable proposition. Firstly, our borders are too porous. We also host many communities within us who are not Ijaw such as the Ogoni's and many many others. For example, you could have two Ijaw islands with another non-Ijaw island inbetween them. What you are talking about is impossible.
If it's not possible, then better to fight and seek for Niger Delta country than insinuating to stay under ONE nigeria where the life and future of your children is not guaranteed. We the Igbos saw this more than 40 years ago, yet in 2008, your people still haven't seen it. Sorry, we don't take that bullshit. Have they hausas been bringing it correct, we wouldn't have had any reason to seek for a separate country, but at the same time, we can't continue to wait for them since all indication have shown they are porous heads who have nothing to offer anyone, and yet don't want to relinquish power. So, i am puzzled at why your people want to wait and wait and wait and live under them.

If you ask the average Ijaw man, he is happy to live as part of a country called Southern Nigeria. If not Southern Nigeria, then he is happy in Nigeria as long as his rights are respected.
Do you have one single reason to want to stay under ONE nigeria even if Southern nigeria is not possible? Let me know that reason.

If you contrast Yar'Adua's handling of Niger-Delta with OBJ's handling, you will know what I am talking about. Niger Delta degenerated into a farce due to OBJ's promotion of thug politics. A lot of these boys running around terrorising Niger-Delta are products of OBJ's style of election campaigning. Yar'Adua seems like a sensible, peaceful guy, not involved in amala politics.
I don't want to contrast anything. Its' coward like to continue prefering to live under recycled rulership that haven't benefited but smeared your people since after the war you mistakenly fought on their side thinking it will benfit you. First, it was the hausas, later the Yorubas/OBJ and again the hausas, yet your lives and fortunes keep dwindling and you can't open your eyes to see.
My question is, why cant your people look towards emancipating yourselves from this clog and live on your own? Can't you live on your own in your own Ijaw country with all your oil and develop yourselves at your pace without being ruled by any outside force? What are you people afraid of? There are no longer Igbos to be afraid of. Are you people born to be ruled? What is with this master is better that the other master?

Yes freedom of speech? Good. There is also freedom to defend one's self when being attacked or plans being on the way for attack. Like someone said above, I wouldn't take as an idle talk of a delirious jihadist if I were Israel. If you think he don't have the capacity, then i have a bridge to sell you.

You are not elected to a presidency of a sovereign nation to be calling for wiping out of Israel. Do it and Israelis have the right by any means to bring you to justice.

Good to hear this news. Let Israel use kidnapping system to bring him to trial. I know Israel can do it. That mullah jihadist has had tood much sniffing thinking about how to wipe Israel out. Instead, he should be thinking about how to share his Palistinian people among all muslim arab countries so peace will reign in this world. Palistinias are not many, so share them among ten arab countries and the problem will be solved.
Where did you hear this one from?

Oh, you probably don't know about something called the Teleprompter.

A teleprompter (also known as an autocue) is a display device that prompts the person speaking with an electronic visual text of a speech or script. Using a teleprompter is similar to the practice of using cue cards. The screen is in front of the lens of the camera, and the words on the screen are reflected to the eyes of the speaker using a one-way mirror.

(Note that this is only true in principle — when the space between the lens and the mirror is covered in a shroud, an ordinary glass pane will work as a one way mirror).

As the speaker does not need to look down to consult written notes, he or she appears to have memorized the speech or be speaking spontaneously, and will look directly into the camera lens.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teleprompter
Ohh really? As we all saw during the Reps and Dems convention? Why do some of you like yarning opaks all in the name of defending mediocrity? Do you think Obele is talking about TV news casters?

There would be no revolt from the north. For the past 50 years the north has never revolt over economy, only religion issues brought them to the street. there is no sign it going to change soon. The Muslim north believe that everything comes from God, therefore a bad economy too comes from God. This explain the lackadaisical attitude of a core northerner: everything is of God, man cannot change anything except its the will of God.

The northerner only comes to the street to butchered other tribe on the false pretence of religion.
Couldn't have said it more better. Don't mind any fool that think the northerners will start any revolution in nigeria. Take this forum and other nigerian forums for example, have you ever seen any notherner criticizing the northern leadership?
Is it not Buhari together with IBB and Abdusalam that claimed Abacha didn't stole any money? Tomorrow, you will see many idiots in this forum saying that Buhari is the most honest ruler from the north (which is the same view hold by an average northerner) and is supposed to rule nigeria. Someone that is defending Abacha to the extent of claiming he didn't steal nigeria's money. Revolution by northerners my arssss.

Ohh yes, blah blah  blah blah blah. The only black billionaire my arssss. Niger Delta oil money that was conered by the hausa/fulani and stuffed inside Dangote's account to make him rich. Remember how Orji Kalu (Igbo) and his SLOK group was stopped by OBJ and the northerners because they already saw him as a threat? Remember how IBETO cement was hounded so as to give all the market shares to your billionaire Dangote? (You want me to provide link to the stories)

Remember how wicked policies where put in place by your successive governments (OBJ the worst) to checkmate and pull down Igbo dominating business men? Remember how Igbo business men's container goods are seized daily in your Apapa and Tin Can Wharf? (This is part of the reason why we need a gigantic seaport built at Onitsha with immediate effect, and only Igbo president can do it) (Nonsense to those who insinuate that it doesn't matter where the president comes from)  Do you know where Atiku made his money from? Do you know where your Bode George made his almost 100Billion naira that attracted EFCC to him? Those made their illegal money through your Apapa and Tin Can wharf where 90% of imported goods into your nigeria are by Igbos.

I guess that's how competition is done in western world where development of everyone is essential to their countries? That is sleeping and thinking about how to keep a particular group down? Tomorrow, you will tell me about Adenuga being a legitimate billionaire when we all know how his money came about. Don't worry, just wait until Igbo presidency and see if Igbos are not going to produce 10 in a row world known Billionaires. We know where the money is. Just grab it and stuff it inside some of our people's bank accounts and voila, world billionaires are made overnight. I guess, that is how billionaires are made. You people started it and sanctioned it and are boasting with it. We know and can play that game more than you, so don't complain when our time comes.

Coming to Nobel winner, i can tell you that Achebe refused such through his ways that westerners (those that determine who wins the Nobel) don't like. So, it' never a biggie. Go and ask JAMB the most educated in nigeria. It's still the Igbos and you can take that to the bank.

This is a retarded way of thinking - others have ruined the country, so we must have our turn at ruining it further? That is probably the most asinine reasoning I've heard for rotating power.

By the way, what is 'near' the Igbo's turn? 32 years? Dude if that is near, I'D be scared to hear your conception of 'far' cheesy

I do agree that by whatever 'arrangement', power must rotate - either with this mechanical north-south method or another, but it must rotate. Sadly our democracy is nowhere developed enough to make such issues secondary.

it would be ideal if the president, wherever he claims as his 'primary' origins are, to be able to claim significant affinity with another tribal group as well, and I think that is what tpia is trying to say, but ideally this should extend to ANY person who becomes president, not someone of Igbo origin alone. Such inter-tribal mixes would gradually lessen the emphasis on this particular tribe or the other getting a run.

On the other hand, it could potentially mess things up too. If a man claims to be half Igbo and half Hausa, would power then be able to rotate to the hausas or would they be deemed to have used up 'half' their slot? Trust Nigerians, we would her such arguments and even worse. grin grin
If you like, see it as retarded, but it's no more retard than what nigerians have been obtaining and are still obtaining today from the leadership of your rotten and illiterate head parents. Your people started the ruin, so why must it stop with the Igbos? Must we do everything for you people. Fact is after Yar'adua, it must be Igbo president to follow suit, so i don't know where you got your 32 years. Even if we are going to wait for 100 years to rule, but we must rule and do as we like by restructuring all the idiotic and evil policies that were put in place by your parents to checkmate the rise of the Igbos.
Have you ever entertain the fact of building International airport the size or more of MM Lagos anywhere in Igbo mainland so that Igbos can fly into Igbo mainland from anywhere in the world without first stoping at Lagos or Abuja before risking and wasting unnecessary moeny driving or flying to their area, a gigantic seaport the size or more of Apapa wharf at Onitsha, restructuring the military to favor no ethnic group and removing quota system in nigeriahuh??
This is why is say rubbish and nonsense to anyone insinuating that it doesn't matter where the president comes from because non Igbo president, and i repeat, non Igbo president will never do all those things i listed above plus more. Only an Igbo president will have the courage to do it and bring positive change and equality to the whole of nigeria.

Check out all the ministerial posts from Okonjo to Soludo, Igbos have perfectly/positively executed theirs and helped in developing your rotten country, yet all you people do is to engage in dragging the country back. Sorry, if you are expecting Igbo president to come clean your mess by telling us which kind of igbo must qualify to rule your useless country, you are wasting your time. I didn't see you and your tpia extend such to Yar'dua, OBJ and other of your past illiterate parents that have ruled nigeria. Why Igbos then? You better go and find who to mix up with. It's definitely not with Igbo people. Nigeria must be messed up and brought down, and you know that it's your people that started the mess in the first place. After all, it's not supposed to be one country in the first place trapping Igbos inside. Igbos don't have anything in common with you guys, especially the hausa/fulanis, so why live in the same futureless country with you? Nonsense.

Come to think of it, did our fathers complain like this when ibos were were running the country after independence? Namdi azikiwe, Aguyi Ironsi etc were not Hausa, were they?
Igbos never ruin the country at any point in time. We have contributed more to the development of nigeria more than any other ethnic group. Igbos are the MOST complete nigerians (detrabalized) compare to others and the fact is backed up by the real FACT that we are the second largest ethnic group in all states of nigeria apart from Igbo states.  During the time you mentioned, the country was on it's way to economic self reliance. In fact, it was the fear of Igbo dominance which started then and culminated into the backlash against Igbo by other nigerians, your ethnic group included, but spearheaded by the hausa/fulani. I still maintain that the fear of Igbo by you nigerians is the downfall of your country. Deep inside you, you already know that this is a fact, but shame will not let you to admit it openly.

So far as hausa/fulanis and yorubas have had their shot and still having at the moment ruining the country, Igbos time must come and pass.
