Qwertyuser: Hello Ghaliz, can you please assist with some guidance regarding learning French from the scratch. If you could please share the path and study plan you used. I just sent you a connect email. Thank you. Guys be careful, there appears to be an impersonator among us. Sent a connection email to Ghaliz but got a connection email from Ghalizz. Letting my guard down I thought that was Ghaliz. Letting my guard down again I was scammed of 40k without service. Doing some research, his words and actions are contradictory, I then realized a mistake was made on my part. I certainly sent a request to Ghaliz. So I did not read any meaning into the connection request from Ghalizz (the impersonator). Ghalizz was created right after I asked Ghaliz for guidance and Ghaliz was the only person I sent a connection to. This scammer is very much active amongst us. Trust no one though. SO BE CAREFUL GUYS. Here is his/her/their number and bank account to keep you informed.

Ghaliz: When I started Alliance Francaise A1.1 in late 2024 I paid 66k for the intensive class with I think an extra 40k or something for Atelier workbook and textbook for A1 by the time I started A1.2 it went up to 181k sans workbook.
I wrote my TCF last month, I give glory to God.
A quick unsolicited advice for aspiring TEF/TCF candidates, Duolingo alone no matter what level you get to simply won't cut it.
I had to quit my job so I could attend a 3hr class Mon-Fri @ alliance yet even that isn't a guarantee of nothing. You must give yourself over totally to the language.
In addition to my daily classes, I listen to RFI on my way to and from classes, six months to my exam I got a private tutor who taught at Alliance for 10hrs per week, they don't come cheap.
If you are not ready to lose yourself to it totally it won't work. By my own estimation less than 10% of alliance students pass the TCF/TEF exam, an even smaller percentage pass on the first attempt. Most just get tired, regress and quietly drop out. Hello Ghaliz, can you please assist with some guidance regarding learning French from the scratch. If you could please share the path and study plan you used. I just sent you a connect email. Thank you. |

Predator188: I will disagree with you on food packing Unless you have a job already before arriving in Canada or enough Canadian dollars to spend on african food in african stores,it is Better to pack as much food as a new arrival in canada especially if you are coming with your family, for example 100grams of crayfish is 9dollars and red shrimp 150 grams that is 14 dollars in canada ,one painter of crayfish is about 8000 to10,000 naira, coming with one painter of crayfish to canada from Nigeria would have saved the person 150 to 200 dollars..this is for crayfish alone, imagine all your food pack could save 1000 dollars, instead of patronising folks doing food cargo, using it as side hustle in canada .. For those who understand the system or who are already in the system and how things are done in canada , 🇨🇦 bank accounts can be opened online with your mobile phones in canada without even stepping a foot In the bank, debit card will be sent to your address or go to your nearest bank branch and take your debit card no need to book appointment.. Seconded!! |

Difficult writing on your japa page due to insufficient permission something.
Thanks for share a real life experience with us.
Considering your experience and knowing what you now know....Would you advise;
■A family to land together or the PA comes in first for some months and try to settle in first by getting a job, accommodation and other stuffs before others come in??
■Do you think it's a wise decision for a PR to start off from Ontario
■For PR holders, who aren't PNP,without any support system in Canada and low on cash.....Where would you suggest they start from??
Wishing you all the best I know a family of 3, no support system, all landed in Calgary recently, just 1 month rent and security deposit and some change left. 1 month after - man got a job, baby got daycare, 2 month later wife got 2 jobs They are now settled at least to live decent. To survive upon landing, Just Pray (if you believe), work harder, take any menial job you find and don’t be overly selective. Then work your way into meaningful Jobs. For me I’d say land all together unless you wan take your time find better work. For landing province, you have to do your research about housing and job market. |

NuCypher: Like every other airline, it's 2 bags, each 23kg for economy. For business class, it's different. So, check your ticket. This kind of information is written on your ticket, if you have one. Or you can google it. This is the kind of information you should be able to pull up by yourself.
Yes, ghana must go is allowed. Make sure to bag it well and wrap it well. As far as I know, only ethiopian doesn't allow ghana must go. Things may have changed though. If you want to be absolutely sure, call the customer care in Nigeria. They'll pick up and answer this question.
No, you don't need a transit visa for Frankfurt, as long as you are not planning to exit the airport or the international terminal. I wrapped mine but some thief still opened it and took what does not belong to him/Her....WRAP YOURS ANYWAY |

vickyehi: Gather the money in your account in case they ask for an updated account statement. Most things about immigration are locked in on the date you submit. If an RFE is raised to show a new statement of account, then you can do that.
But for now, open a dorm account and save in USD. I don Dey Canada ooh. Funny enough they never asked for updated POF. Thanks for your response tho. |

NuCypher: Being not sure of what to expect is normal. Reach out to people and see who can add you to Naija's Calgary group. THat's always a good way to start with connecting locally. And if you are a muslim/christian, find a mosque/church with a good Nigerian population. Even though I'm not religious, I have found that this is often the best way to connect and learn about the city and find new opportunities. Thanks for this positive piece. I find it insightful. Landing Calgary in 2 weeks time and not sure of what to expect. Accommodation appears to be on the high side. Any information that can help with settlement will be appreciated.
Any local job links one can use before getting a proper job will also be useful.
Any ideas please. |

Although she said she'll still do the gift deed and sign This might be suspicious for the case officer. You may want to avoid such a scenario! why can't the buyer transfer the money to your mum and she transfers it to yours? |

Theflint1: Hello house, I just started the journey to my Express Entry application and while I've been reading up on previous pages, I thought to inquire on what the house thinks about the approach I propose and our chances in general.
I'd be applying with my wife, I'm 31 and my wife, 29, we both have Masters degrees, with my wife having a BS and MS in French. I got the results for my IELTS yesterday (LRWS 8.5, 8.0, 7.5, 7.5), but I intend for my wife to be the primary applicant since she can take the TEF/TCF and IELTS. I work with a small company in procurement/sales (I'm pretty much a businessman), while my wife works a French teacher. Also, I'm making some transition to tech, have some programming experience and running a PgD in Computer Science too, expected graduation early 2024. Your wife should be the principal applicant. My simple opinion. AGE + FREnch reasons! I am also assuming she has atleast 3yrs of working experience. |

deyplay: It is well. However, doing psychoanalysis of this whole issue, your vocabs reveal a sort of revenge and hatred which are strong emotions revealing a personal vendetta. Because, I myself went to a known tutor but didn't get what I wanted but switch to Tobidam. But I never mentioned it in my earlier post to discredit some one else's business, I just moved on because people's experiences differ, you know.
But, if it has to be about the class, to be fair to both you and the school, people can go Tobidam's website themselves to see the free topics I earlier talked about, in minutes, they can find out themselves if the school is good or not.
That said, since you said you REALLY attended the school,I also attended the school, kindly say what year and month you attended the school, how many months did you spend? Did you finish the program?etc. Just give your quantifiable experience and not just generalisations like bad, nasty. Mention actual things about the class. Abeg rest |

Addi: Hi, both jobs match my chosen NOC. I don't see where to include it in the personal section (someone advised this earlier too but there's no place to include it there on the portal) If you are yet to receive ITA, just state the main job since it covers 3 years+ in your chosen NOC ( personal history doesn’t show pre-ITA). When you receive ITA, you can state all other jobs in the personal history section. |

Addi: Hello Guys, please I have a question.
I am trying to fill in my express entry profile. I currently have more than 10 years work experience but I am currently working two jobs to meet up with my POF, I started the new one this year. I have been working at the older one for over 7 years.
Please how do I fill my work details section, do I state that I currently work at the two and how many hours do I state for each please?. My main job is the former one, the new one was just to save up for japa and for a short period but now it's also looking interesting.
I do not want to omit the new one as I have gone for international trips with the new company which I had to apply for visa so the information is out there though nothing states that my position with them is full time.
Is there any one that has had to deal with this in the past and how do you advise I go about this pls?
Thank you. If your main job matches your chosen NOC and with the correct amount of hrs (full-time), then you can claim 3years+ points with just that job. The other job(s) can come in personal section and shouldn’t give any issues since you aren’t claiming points for them. Just make sure you mention all in personal section. |
