Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by r231(mod): 6:20pm On Jan 13, 2012
Jarus:
Sorry, fellow e-Helpers, for reporting late. I have been following from sideline yesterday, quite busy.

I want to suggest as follows:

1, Although her case is beyond doubt genuine, we need to still fulfill our documented procedure of physical verification, which I think Ify has undertaken to help do, after strike. If we can get an Edo Nairalander it will be equally better

2, But pending verification, we shall swing into action immediately

3, We should offer 2 forms of assistance: Financial and Moral

FINANCIAL: clearly, footing the whole bill is beyond our capacity, so our financial assistance will be in form of palliatives. She says she needs about 10-15k per month for some drugs, if I get the earlier posts well. Let's take that one up. 15k times 6 months=90k, plus some other expenses, let's mark that up to 150k. I suggest we take 50k from our current purse(TeHN) and raise the remainign 100k for her thru a dedicated fund-raising thread, the way we did for the Obuhs.

MORAL: We will work on linking her up with NGO or Health Minister or even faciliate a publication of her case in newspapers and TV houses to seek wider attention and get sponsor/expert opinions on her trip abrod.

Let's be proactive. What do you guys think?
good idea

Thanks guys for all your effort as usual

I know that I have a great team that I can count on.

Well I am on vacation outside of the country and can't really do much from here but will be bck over the weekend and I will call Ify first thing.

@maclatunji

we have the case and we have a procedure as well. I am not trying to disrespect you or anything but can you pls let us handle it from here as the team knows what they need to do already. We will be updating the thread as it goes and if we need any suggestions, we will ask.

Chelsea brought some Torres guy for 50 million and that guy scored after 903 minutes.
Arsenal brought Henry for free and he scored after 10 minutes.
Moral : sometimes free stuff is the best stuff. It doesn't matter how expensive stuff is, what matters is the result
