bigtt76:Subject: Re: Nahco happenings Sent: Nov 24, 2014 5:21 PM Dear All in One, The situation is still the same. We have been advice to keep off from nahco premises for now to avoid unlawful arrest. For now no activity at all. Subject: Re: Nahco happenings Sent: Nov 26, 2014 7:01 AM Dear All Work might resume any moment from now. As at yesterday the custom controller insist that work should resume both in courier and sahcol shed while nahco remains under lock but the agent refused out rightly that all the 3 shed must open if agent must go back to work. From all indices when work resume tougher measure awaits nahco shed as the shed is in the black record of the controller. should work resume for now please use those flight that are naturally sahcol bound. To the controller nahco should be lock up out rightly. Will keep you posted as event unfolds Sent: 26 November 2014 14:33 Subject: Re: Nahco happenings The CG (Controller General)will be around tomorrow to have meeting with the stake holders. We are having hope that all will be sorted out as soon as possible. From all indices if we are not commencing work this week by next week monday work should commence. Brgds |

Cargo operations to remain shut for non-compliance –FG The Federal Government has said that operations at the cargo terminals of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos will remain shut until operators comply with the new procedure. The Customs Area Comptroller, MMIA, Mr. Taju Olarenwaju, told journalists in Lagos on Monday. He said the clearing agents had threatened national security and efforts to collect revenue for the government, adding that such would no longer be tolerated. He explained that previous agreements signed with the agents in the past had failed as they had consistently violated rules of engagement and procedures at the cargo terminal, which restricted access to some parts of the terminal. He said, “Terminal operators and clearing agents are taking our efforts for granted. It has become increasingly insecure to carry out business at the cargo section of the airport because of the activities of agents who through their collective actions continue to threaten national security. “They have shown that they are economic saboteurs and terrorists who threaten the security of the airport. The Nigeria Customs Service will not fold its arms and allow this. We will be alive to our responsibility and not allow terminal operators to carry out this illegality.” He explained that the clearing agents had continued to display a lack of capacity to enforce the new regulations in sensitive areas where cargo was kept at the airport. “The warehouse remains shut until the agents and terminal managers show capacity to operate without a threat to security,” he stated. Olanrewaju says goods that fall into the specialised category such as perishable; medical and diplomatic items will be isolated for facilitation, such that the importers do not suffer from the infraction caused by clearing agents, who are not ready to comply with operational procedures . Heavily pregnant woman and her partner caught having sex in hospital bed while waiting to have their baby induced Heavily pregnant woman and partner caught having sex on maternity ward Cleaner heard moaning coming from a private room and told her bosses But the cleaner was told there are no rules against having sex on the ward Hospital's policy is for frisky couples to put a 'Do Not Disturb' sign outside Sex is rumoured to help induce labour for some women, as is spicy food A heavily pregnant woman and her partner were caught having sex in a hospital bed while waiting to have their baby induced. The mother and father were discovered by a cleaner who heard moaning coming from a private room on the maternity ward. The worker told hospital bosses what she had found but was informed there are no rules against having sex on the ward at St Michael's Hospital, in Bristol. The hospital's policy is for frisky couples to put a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, The Sun reported. A hospital source said: 'Other patients on the unit heard the commotion and were upset. The cleaner was utterly shocked. 'She was amazed to be told it was OK. The hospital's advice appears to be just to put a sign up - amazing.' Like herbal remedies and eating spicy food, sex is said to help induce labour in some cases. However, NHS advice says: 'You may have heard that certain things can trigger labour, such as herbal supplements and having sex, but there is no evidence that these work. 'Having sex won't cause harm, but you should avoid having sex if your waters have broken as there is an increased risk of infection.' A hospital spokeswoman said: 'Staff work hard to ensure privacy and dignity is maintained for all patients. 'Thankfully, we have not received any complaints or concerns in regard to this matter.' Last year, St Michael's Hospital was criticised for allowing a mother to bring a dog into the maternity ward so it could watch her give birth. The unusual presence was criticised amid claims that no special cleaning took place after the two-hour birth. Managers justified the extraordinary action by saying that Barney, believed to be a Labrador, was a certified 'therapy dog' who had witnessed many births and had a 'calming presence'.
