The difference is based on what you want from your car. Personally, I like a manual transmission because, I get to control the car. My experience with an AUTO transmission just didn't make me feel the control. Maybe, it was because I learnt with a manual transmision car. |
Poverty is a curse. |
This is an abuse to democracy. This institution called the DSS, is a mixture of corruption, deceit and atrocities. |
You're male or female. Enjoy the best of it and at least, be a good human being. |
Why not just get a phone with a great internal memory and processor? It may be expensive but, a rational consumer should also be smart. |
Only the elections will decide the winner. Whether this is true or not, a good Nigerian should continue to be a good Nigerian. Do your best to make your country a better place to live in. Vote if you can, express your opinion but, do not resort to violence. |
lestat:lol...You understand! |
What a bad mother! Where is the father? Such troubling question that define this situation. In just a few more years, these duo will become adults. Is this life? If you cannot give your all to make your seed better than you, do not bring forth that seed. ![]() |
In Fela's voice (singing with much rhythm)...Suffer dey for Nigeria paparapa ![]() |
VolvoS60:Thank you joor. We are not in a military regime. The way the military abuses power and go scot free in this country will never be justified. The Apo Six saga is almost a dead case now...so sad, and many other unfortunate cases. This is not the best that our country can offer. I believe in a better Nigeria. You should too! |
I don't know the comedian personally but, this must be a sad event for them. May God console them. |
MrIncrediible:The more you see, the less you should believe ![]() |
Atlantian:Much thanks! |
In as much as GEJ has been labelled so many unpalatable names, the opposition could be in for a surprise. Only the elections will decide; not propaganda, not hate speeches, not certainly these words of hatred. Most importantly, don't hate your neighbour or friend or brother because, he pitched his political tent in APC or PDP. Hate leads to violence and violence always ends as a sad story. Why not make yourself useful to your family and your country? |

OREMUSSANCTUS:I wonder oo |
Do what you have to do to live decently. Life is beyond money, wealth and acquiring properties. I agree with a lot of people here that life becomes difficult if you have nobody to support you. Gladly, I would say that not all lucrative occupations are decent or morally upright even in the eyes of an atheist. Live proudly and justly. If not for anything, just for the sake of peace of mind. If you have little or much, be content with it. Don't feed your greed and it won't grow. ![]() |

These terrorists are many oo. |
dotman2460:You have no idea how this your story gives hope to some applicants for the US visa. Gracias! |
moneybag100:I believe you, my guy. All these tricks cannot hide the fact that everyday, Nigeria is becoming more and more difficult to live in. |
It is possible, yes. The prospects in the agric sector are gradually increasing. The FG however, needs to be more proactive. If the support for young farmers improves in the nearest future, we will surely get there. |
Among the jet-setting group of the world’s top-flight business moguls, Nigeria does have its share of nationals who have spread the tentacles of their business acumen to ensure that their names will go down as CEOs of international companies and business concerns. LEADERSHIP Friday brings you a list of a few of them. Aliko Dangote What better way to start this list than with Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the quintessential businessman who has seen it all in the world of business. The Kano-born businessman is sparing nothing to expand his empire, going by how he continues to venture into new areas of business. Over the years, Dangote has become a force to be reckoned with in the industrial, manufacturing and production sectors. Name any sector of business, Alhaji Aliko Dangote is there, swimming with the big fish in the waters of commerce. His success is not limited to his business concerns in Nigeria alone, but extends far and wide to other African and to European countries. Expectedly, the success of Dangote’s companies has translated to great wealth for the unassuming business mogul, as it is on record that he is the first Nigerian to make it on to the Forbes list of billionaires and to also be adjudged the richest man in Africa long before any business magnate in Nigeria ever dreamt of making the list. Jelani Aliyu Jelani Aliyu is from Sokoto State and is General Motors lead exterior designer and the designer of the Chevy Volt. General Motors is the world’s largest automobile maker. The car has been described as an American Revolution and one of the hottest concepts in the design line. Aliyu was born in 1966 in Kaduna, the fifth of seven children. He had tremendous encouragement and mentoring from his family and friends and his creative art developed. He drew a lot, designed his own cars and even built scale models of them, complete with exteriors and interiors. He got admission into the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria to study Architecture, but soon discovered the curriculum did not support his future vision and plans. He wanted an institution that would give him the best foundation required to study Automobile Design abroad, so he went to Birnin Kebbi Polytechnic. He was there from 1986 to 1988 and earned an associate degree in Architecture, with an award as Best All-round Student. In 1990, Aliyu moved to Detroit, Michigan to enrol at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit on a Sokoto Scholarship Board sponsorship. With his brilliant work on the design of the Chevrolet Volt, which was unveiled in 2007, Jelani Aliyu is considered by many to be the superstar of the General Motors renaissance. Kase Lukman Lawal Born June 30 1954, Kase Lukman Lawal is a Nigerian-born businessman who lives and works in the United States. Lawal was born in Ibadan. He is the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of CAMAC International Corporation, chairman and CEO of CAMAC Energy Inc and chairman of Allied Energy Corporation in Houston, Texas. He is also the chairman/CEO, CAMAC Holdings and vice chairman, Port of Houston Authority Commission. He serves as a member of the board of directors and is a significant shareholder in Unity National Bank, the only federally insured and licensed African-American-owned bank in Texas. mainheart:Yes, it is indeed a good policy for the agricultural sector. |
"The Federal Government has decided to ban the movement of cattle to solve perennial clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the country. The decision was taken at the Presidential Villa in Abuja yesterday during the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting chaired by Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo. Those at the meeting included Secretary to the Government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim, the governors of Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Bauchi, Borno, Cross River, Ebonyi, Kaduna, Kebbi, Ondo, Niger, Plateau States as well as the acting governor of Taraba State and the deputy governors of Kogi and Abia States. Addressing journalists after the three-hour closed-door meeting, Benue State Governor Gabriel Suswam said the council resolved to phase out cattle movement because of the security problems it had created in some states. He said the council agreed that the Federal Ministries of Agriculture and National Planning would go round the six geo-political zones to sensitize farmers and herdsmen on the need to stop cattle movement." see more: http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/daily/news/37726-herders-farmers-crises-fg-moves-to-ban-cattle-movement

RockMaxi:The issue is worrisome given that Port Harcourt is in such a delicate situation now. |
"Circumstances leading to her abduction are still sketchy, the Nigeria Politics Online gathered that the attention of security agents have been drawn to the development which is said to have thrown the riverine state into confusion." http://nigeriapoliticsonline.com/breaking-news-kidnappers-abduct-petroleum-minister-diezzanis-sister-in-port-harcourt/ |

Congratulations to all the honoured. |
Anomalies, quandary, deception, systemic failure, are some of the misfortunes of the political class. Who said the Incumbent must rule for Eight years? What good has this quasi-continuity brought to our Nigeria? I speak not ill of my leaders rather, I pray we get to that point in a political system where the credibility of the individual vying for office is duly scrutinised. A political system that will look at what an individual has achieved in his lifetime; what contributions he or she has made to his immediate environment. President Goodluck Jonathan is at liberty to choose to contest or not. I prefer for the system to be overhauled; the whole political system. Measures should be put to encourage young people to be involved in government. More importantly, there must be a reorientation. Nigeria must be developed. We cannot continue to be in this form of leadership that does not listen to the cries of the people. I say, Nigeria of this 21st century should be a country that has a 21st century leader and not a country with the earlier century leadership traits. Change is what we need. |
And clean out that potty mouth while you are at it.
