@ Senga,

If it was exclusive to Multichoice would we have it?, No, so my brother Trace Tv is making there money as you can see by not making anything exclusive to anybody whatsoever.

Thank you
TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 3:44pm On Feb 08, 2008
Trace Tv was never exclusive to HITV please no loose informations.
TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 1:04pm On Feb 08, 2008
@niyi09

Its just as simple as you can ever imagine. Follow the following steps

1, Menu
2, Installation (0000) thats the passcode
3, TP Set Up
4, Depending on your plattform from this stage

Sattelite

5, Scroll down to Scan all channel and hit OK

TERRESTIAL

5, Scroll down to Freq. and select the first then go down to scan all channel and hit ok
go back up two steps (Freq.) and select the next freq. then do same till you have done for all four freq. Meanwhile you have to save each step by hiting OK when it asks you.

In case you are lost call me while you are right in front of your Decoder. (08033711182, 07028113224)

Cheers

bodejohn:

Raahym,
As much as i like your answers to the various questions raised i am not so happy with the way you treat the criticisms.
There is the saying that customers are always right. Some of us are afraid of getting on your platforms because of the numerous complains that abound.
As we all know that these things take time we also want to have valve for our money.
My own question is this? Can i get only the smart card and how much will it cost?
Thanks

@bodejohn

Sorry my brother you cannot get our smartcard only for now but in the near future. I must say that i have been in all fairness responded to all of the posted issues her and have no time been sarcastic or abusive about it. I am a straight forward person that believe so much in criticism cos without it, you may not move forward. So please try to understand my plight. am not only talking from the angle of a staff but also from the angle that i have people who are close relatives and are on our platform.

I believe all of this will be over soon cos its part of the things expected when you are starting up a project like this. already some pple said we didn't do enough feasibility studies but my brother this is a business that requires real time marketing and aproach cos you can never know your weaknesses if you do not launch.

Thank you and may the lord b e with all of us as a whole.

Gracias

Make sure you buy HITV corretc tv,

proudly Nigerian.

Salvage:

@vowiski

Its not all *total crap*.

Needs a lot more work to be done but not total crap.

@ Raahym

Its good you explained the issue about the mbc network.

Anyways, like someone pointed out, you could try to work something out with Sky for sky one and one of the sky movies since u are already getting sky news. That way it would be legal.

Am just imagining that it may increase subscriptions since one of the selling points of hitv was the low monthly subscription.

@ salvage

Thank you so much and we are already having a talk with sky on this.

Christmas package from HITV watch out for TRACE TV.

For now we do not have anything to celebrate cos we are yet too tap into 1% of the available market.

TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 11:24am On Dec 13, 2007
Yeah, we can do all of this other channels you have talked about provided they are willing to go into agreement with us and cleared for africa. Ikeja prob. will be solved soon and all of you will return to terrestial.

Thank you for the giving chance and opportunity you gave HITV and we pledge not o let you down.

TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 10:51am On Dec 13, 2007
@Jayzee

I am happy you are there as well, We must have in mind that one of our company policy is Anti-Piracy and we are strongly going to uphold this. I will like to let you know that its purely unethical to have any FTA channels (mbc, mbc 2 et all) on your platform when you re getting paid by your subscribers, and they are not cleared for this region.

HITV will only do what is right in sustain and proclaiming Nigeria in the right image by practicing what is right but not to the detriment of our customers.

All of the companies airing such channels are doing piracy cos those channels are not cleared for this region and that makes it piracy if we do such.

Boy am glad you are proudly Nigerian

That is why you do not have such companies (Disc communications, CTL, YAGI, et all)doing aggressive marketing like HITV and dstv.

@ayusman, niyi09, ilugunboy et all

Hi all,

Thank you all for the praises and well wishes. I sincerely believe and know that HITV will soar higher and higher cos we have the plan to take Nigeria to the highest level. However in achieving all of this we require you to help kill DSTV's exclusivity on contents and some channels like discovery etc, this way we will make Nigerians happy and send the reapers away for good cos this is our land and we should not be intimidated nor oppressed.

lets stand up and take our rightful place in the world,like i say always say, "make urself heard, cos there is power in u" its for real.

The subs. is the same cos we dont want to cheat anybody and as it is we are soon goin to get all of those channels on satelitte.

Soon. Soon, Soon,

TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 3:51pm On Dec 12, 2007
@ayusman, ilugunboy, niyi09 et all

I am particularly happy that you guys are seeing things the right way but thats not to say that we will not welcome all other criticism and complaints as this will make us strenghten our ways.

I will like to make known that Ikeja problem will be solved soonest and its been worked on as we speak, also Trace tv is still undergoing some kind of package delivery quality (in content terms) before we finally upload on both terrestial and sattelite.

SATELITTE: The reason behind this is simple, cos we have no control over the satellite and you have to secure approval to get more space on the satelitte before you can upload channels as this is not and until we get approval for more space then we cannot upload more channels.

TERRESTIAL: this is purely a form of technology that is reffered to as "line on site" as the GSM operators and this is purely controlled by us except for the satellite channels that is been uploaded on it like bbc, skynews, et all but all other channels are inbuilt and controlled by us and for you guys information we are capable of showing 500 channels on our terrestial platform but bad bad news can only work in Lagos cos thats where we have our repeaters for now.

please all further questions will be treated as appropriate and at the right time.

Thank you.

TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 12:21pm On Dec 11, 2007
@ ayusman and co,

Raahym is still very much available and can only reply to post such not abusive ones cos i believe by now you guys should be well enlightened as to knowing how to handle and react inn forums cos this is seen by not just the naijas as the name implies but by some other country members as well.

Ikeja problems is still very much undergoing some form what i call REJUVINATION as this is being handled as we speak, HITV never intends and would not scam Nigerians cos like we say we are proudly Nigerian and for the local stations not been on our platform which some other people took to be a sin then it means you really do not understand what it takes to run a pay tv company, cos you have local channels free, why would you pay HITV to watch Channels Television? if not insane but thats not to say that the local channels would not be added but like you know all of these things take processes and processes.

We will improve on our signal quality and focus on getting more content for the already created channels before looking at the options of creating more without proper and licensed contents.

What people call our (HI-Nonsense) will end up becoming there household names and they will forget about movie magic and all of the rest.

Please guys make ur opinions known to us not by abuses nor insult or adversary but in a very simple and plain language then we will respond to them and take to your advises/complaints.

We are a company with a vision to excel and in excelling we are not going to harm any Nigerian be it young or old.

Regards

@ayusman, Salvage, Kosovo, Olowe et all

All of your comments and criticism are well appreciated and accepted, without all of that we will not be moving forward and knowing the need to improve on our services. We are a newly licensed Pay Tv provider and bearly we have delivered service it took DSTV some good fortune years to deliver and are heading towards achieving the ultimate and thats not to say that we are not going to be given considerate and good services but all of these will never be @ a go because what we deal with here are high power machines which it really takes to time to customize to suit your (HITV's) definition.

I will like to correct the fact that HITV has come to loot, steal, 419 or scam Nigerians but rather we have come to salvage Nigerians off the modern slave trade that has existed before now. Do you know that after HITV won the right of Premiership for Nigeria so other companies specifically GTV won it for the rest of Africa except South Africa which is inclusive of FA Cup, also it would be fair to let you know that in this business content is a major issue and you really have to fight for it, a brother said HITV "rushed out" no HITV did not rather took our time but would it be fair to have the rights and not broadcast saying that you are waiting for the right time? would it also be fair to start and we are showing just 2 Channels? would it also be fair if HITV does not have money to pay salaries and do all other social commitments as a NIgerian Organisation?

Please have in mind that HITV will by the grace of God launch its Dual View Decoder in shortest possible time after the company has gotten over the signal problem as it were.

We are proudly Nigerian and would do our best to salvage Nigerians off the foreigners who do not have any good for us but to come to our market (being the biggest) to make money and take back to there country becuase we have refused to support ours and believe Nigerians cannot do anything right.

So my people let us support HITV and make the country proud as it will affect not just the present generation but 3,4,5,6,, generations coming.

Do you know that HITV,

Has over 70 manpower right now?

Its manpower is Nigerian based?

what else makes you proudly Nigerian but all of these i have stated and there are still more.

Regards to all.

@ayusman16

Raahym is still very much its just that i had to attend to other pressing issues @ work, i will advise you stick to HITV and pray for continuity for the company and am sure u dont want to blame urself when eventually we get to where we are aiming.
TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 10:53am On Nov 20, 2007
@ayusman16

Consider HITV converting everybody to satellite at our expenses then how much do you think the company will be left with in terms of profit? and please i wouldn't say that u have lost ur subscription but i believe the Management is working on compensating the affected customers.
TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 10:44am On Nov 20, 2007
@ayusman16

Why would i run away? Ikeja would be fixed shortly its just a form of sabbotage thats holding it back but if you provide our customer care with your details and request to be converted to satellite in the meantime then you will be happy till its resolved.
TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 10:42am On Nov 20, 2007
@ ayusman16

Well HITV has not come to reap you off but has come help Nigerian out of the modern slave trade by DSTV, however, i will like to let you know that the problems they have been having has been due to technical hitches and i bet u suing HITV will not solve ur problem but i will suggest u make ur complains known to them and they will fix it right away for you and if i can get things clear where do u stay and what option are u using?

My brother its good to be proudly nigeria cos i believe HITV will excel and will make us all laugh at the end its just a bit difficult getting there but they will.
TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 10:28am On Nov 20, 2007
@ badaru1

DSTV has 70 Channels but dont they repeat?, HITV 13 Channels yet but has the capacity to air 100 Channels but what are channels without content so please be patient. And u do not pay HITV yearly its 4k monthly if u like pay for 10 years, picture quality, tell me u look the same u look 5 years ago, hell no cos u are developing/
TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 10:22am On Nov 20, 2007
@ayusman16

Glo never got to where they are today, i can remember when they first started it was like hell a lot of us (Nigerians) rubbished them and we never gave them a chance but here they are today doing good. And if i may ask u, do u know what it takes to do Video?audio transmission via DTT or DTH Transmission especially in this part of the world, i am sure u really do not know much abt this business so please do not crusify HITV as it is a striving company.
TV/Movies / Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Raahym(m): 2:16pm On Nov 19, 2007
Comparing DSTV and HITV is a good thing that has ever happened to this forum, though we must have some things @ the back of our mind, i. e DSTV is 25 Year Old and HITV is 1 Year Old, DSTV managed by  grossly foreigners and HITV managed and controlled by Nigerians. These two are primary factors that should be considered before we talk about the both company. Having talked about this then we can say that it would be unfair to write out or condemn HITV as they have worked hard to be where DSTV never got in 10 Years of it establishment. HiTV is affordable and put the interest of her customers first in everything she does.

So please be mindful of what you say and lets be proudly Nigerian and support ours.

Thank you
