Can you explain what you mean by no immigrants job in Texas, just an overview will do. Thanks
When an immigrant with no legal stay gets here, there there are some jobs like warehousing jobs that are easily accessible in midwest states with good pay which are not really in places like Texas because of minimal numbers of warehouses. You can be new here and be earning like $18-22 per hour in warehouse while in Texas u might not see such a job with such a pay. "Wa lo iwe oni iwe ni awon ilu yen lati fi se ise" if you don't understand the yoruba pls look for someone to translate for you.

Any tips to get visa
Or genuine agent ?
It's the operation "do it yourself". I will not encourage the use of agent. Gather any info you need here in nairaland.com on USA visa thread and do it yourself although US visa is tough to get now. I wish you all the best.

Hi House, my wife and baby finally joined me in Germany yesterday. Here is our timeline:
I booked a family reunion appointment on June 28th, 2022, thinking that once I arrived in Germany and obtained a Blue Card, the embassy would be compassionate (knowing my wife was pregnant) and fast-track her appointment, but this did not happen.
In November, we decided to try our luck by booking another appointment for her under the Skilled Immigration Act visa category. She went for the appointment but was turned away by Mr. [you know who].
I made several attempts to see if her appointment could be fast-tracked, but the embassy told me point-blank that it was not going to happen. We accepted our fate and decided to wait. After my wife gave birth, we got our little guy his passport and emailed the embassy. They confirmed that they had added him to my wife's appointment.
On August 28th, 2023, my wife and baby finally got an appointment for September 20th, 2023.
oOn October 23rd, I received an email from ABH asking me to submit documents (prior to this, I had called BVA to inquire about the stage of my family's application).
I submitted the documents via email two days later, on October 25th. The next day, October 26th, I received a response saying they had agreed to issue my family's visa and that it was now up to the embassy in Nigeria to approve it (I forwarded this email to the embassy in Nigeria).
On October 31st, the embassy in Nigeria asked us to submit passports and a travel date. They did this the next day and received their stamped visas on November 6th.

I noticed post-appointment, our timeline was a bit fast, this is because lawyer verification was skipped since I am on blue card, Also, I was asked to submit documents via email, if it were to be through post, it could have take an extra week or two for the document submission request mail to get to me and maybe another one or two weeks for them to receive back the documents. It also seems that the office responsible for my application is a bit fast, I think this is because I stay in the outskirt of Berlin and maybe they don’t get much application or they don’t have much workload there.

I hope and pray that everyone waiting on this journey receives good news soon because it is not easy.
Congratulations sir, is there a way you can put me through on how to get German visa? I wish to help my elder sister, although I live in the US. Thank you sir

I have family friends a couple with 3 kids to be precise, they all just got US tourist visa B2. The husband has a good job here in Nigeria while the wife and 2 kids intend to travel to the US by mid october to settle there.
Presently she needs a relatively affordable accommodation, guidance on which state to settle and a Job pending when the husband gather funds for accommodation and others. She can do tailoring and other menial Job. She is of good character and a committed member of Deeper life here.

Pls any meaningful suggestions on this forum
The best states for them are midwest states. I don't want to open up here much because of the type of visa they have.

Hello everyone, it's nice to come across this thread. I remember around 2916/17 I used to read on thread like this while I was in Nigeria hoping to find myself in the US someday but exactly end of 2017 I got in with my hubby. Anyway to those who still contemplating of coming to US do not give up your dream although US is very hard to get in now but some people are still coming in. US is a land of opportunities with less cost of living compare to Canada and UK although it depends on the State you are. If you are a new immigrant midwest states are the best for you(Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, part of Illinois,
Missouri etc) interm of settling in on time because the cost of living is cheaper and a lot of job opportunities for new Comer although the cold is much during the winter. I would not advise new comers with no legal status to stay in Atlanta, Texas, California, Florida etc Atlanta Georgia is out of the pictures because the state pays lower and some bills are higher eg Auto insurance is ×3 of that of Indiana. Texas is not expensive but no immigrants job(if you understand what I mean) California is generally expensive. We landed in Indiana which really helped us to get settled on time but we chose to explore and we moved to Atlanta but that was a mistake and we are planning to relocate back to Indiana.

I am here to give one or two input when it comes to issues here in the US.

This tread is so long dunno where to start from. Lemme just go straight in case anyone is willing to assist.

My uncle is ready to send me an invite, he is a citizen in the state. I am a Medical doctor currently working for a state specialist hospital for about 6months now. I can easily get a letter to back it.

The agent I contacted requesting for 950k, seems exhobitant. I just stumbled into this forum.

Will someone be to upload the process getting a visa.

Already I have a passport and have bought b1 from gtb.

Thanks
Please read this thread from part 1 to 3 for your own good, that's what me and hubby read that made our visa a success

We arrived at Newark, New Jersey exactly 7: pm US time via Ethiopian airline (1:am naija time). We left Lagos 11:25am got to Lome 15mins later stop over for like 30mins then proceeded to a journey of about 11hours:30mins. No problem at all at point of entry

My husband : How are you sir?

Officer : I am fine, where are you heading to?

My husband: Orlando florida

Officer: Then why newark

My husband: Ethiopia airline is fast and cheaper and no direct flight to orlando.

Officer : Are you here alone?

My husband : No with my wife, where is she? ( Meanwhile I was on the que thought other officer would have to attend to me)

We were stamped in but I didn't see any 3 or 6 month stamp o.

I just woke up in Newerk now (4:30am).

Hello everyone. I salute those who are spending their time to educate people here. My 14 year old daughter has been on my neck lately about visiting the US ;about two of her classmates were there for their summer holidays. Actually I've promised my family in the past that we'd visit Disney land one day but haven't given much thought to it. Now my wife is also saying it's about time we tried. I'm a business man in my late thirties, earning about 500k to 750k/month depending on sales. Wife is a full housewife in her mid thirties (she does some online businesses which she earns from). We have a second daughter aged 5. I'm thinking of taking them to Disney land during the Easter holidays. We have no travel history. Pls advise.
Please read this thread from 1 to 3 so that you can be well informed on how to go about it.

If you are going with just this little, I'll advise that you go to any bdc and ask for $20 notes. You may get it for like N340 to $1. I only got to know this recently, smaller denominations don't sell at the same rate as the $100 note. Please also note that when you come back to the country with these smaller notes, you may not be able to sell more that N335 to $1. Also note that the banks reject deposit of smaller notes except the big $100 note. This was my personal experience few months ago. You can thank me later.
What is bdc please

I don't see any issue just make sure you've confirmed the hotel reservation before leaving Nigeria and have a good idea of how much it will cost to take a bus to Florida from New York because I know and I'm very sure flight from N.Y to Florida will be cheaper than taking a bus.
Do you research oooo
Thanks so much, we just feel like travelling by road as part of our vacation for sightseeing. To go by bus is cheaper this period, bus is between $90-120 flight $250-350

Storystorystory, travel history could be your strongest tie. Consider visiting another visa-scrutinizing country before visiting the US.
Those that has same profile as his has been given visa before so travelling experience is not the only yardstick here though it is good but he can be given or not.
