Abugab: And that means failure? You are a super human and don't have limitations. Why do you always use insulting words? Does that make you not foolish? Your inability to use the right words is a limitation and we all have it. I wouldn't want to say more by insulting you as it will become of you. You don't know me young man, mutual respect is needed. Don't be a consistent daftie. Buhari clearly insinuated that his age is a limitation despite giving the electorates the impression that he is highly capable . Where did you see failure in this discourse ? Use your brain dude. |

Abugab: [s]"Buhari said age is a limitation". And you read that? Someone who said how he wished he was much younger as a president precisely the age he was military administrator and that to you translates to admitting age is his limitation. I can see that you really are clever, very clever. I pity your type. Learn to respect people's opinions and make correction when you see anything wrong without being insulting as you don't know me and my achievements. You have got to learn some times as this forum is suppose to be for learning and not insults. You can raise your head in shame now[/s]. Stop this foolishness and see the excerpt below He said, “I wish I became Head of State when I was a governor, just a few years as a young man. Now at 72, there is a limit to what I can do.” http://www.punchng.com/news/old-age-will-limit-my-performance-buhari/ |

Everyone needs help irrespective of their age hence the reason why they have advisers on specific technical issues.
Anyhoo, we go siddon watch We weren't expecting him to be a superman nor perform miracles. But we are expecting him to carry out his functions without been regaled about his limitation which wasn't our fault. He knew about his age limitation before standing in for elections, he wasn't forced at gunpoint. |

jaybee3: I'm not holding brief for Buhari but limitation can mean anything to different age groups.
It's a no-brainer to expect him to have reduced physical conditioning due to his age but that isn't necessarily a key factor needed for providing good governance or is it? Stop trying to be too smart cos it won't do you much good. Limitation here had to do with governance. Buhari referenced it in terms of leadership in a much younger age. Don't be another Adesina |

I am still struggling to understand what all the hoopla is about in saying PMB is like old wine that gets better with age Stop being daft. Buhari said his age is a limitation, emphasis is on the word limitation. Yet the learning spokesman likened him to an old wine whose Performance isn't LIMITED but enhanced with better taste. You and Abugab need to hide your sorry heads in shame. |

mrmetoo1: [s]Educate us on how long it takes MOUs to materialize. This has always been an excuse from you guys, everything takes time.. Everything!!
Then if you want to take credit for this, then take credit for everything bad that's going on right now because guys are quick to talk about the Boko Haram bombings as PMB's fault and even one of your leaders here said the high price of petrol at the pumps too were PMB's fault.
All I know is this was something Osinbajo said over and over again at his campaign stops and now it happened. Did you see the part the article said it was due to this government's commitment to gas supply and domestic power. Did you get the part they raised the price of gas to make it more attractive to investors?
Apart from all that, I'm sure this problem isn't new to us, this is something the past administrations could have tackled if they wanted to. PDP had 16 years to do this, wasn't done. The past admin had 5 years to do this, wasn't done now you want to take credit[/s] Please spare me the claptrap, non of what is happening now have to do with Osinbajo and co, as a matter of fact, what is happening today was set in motion months before the current admin . http://coolfm.ng/lagos/news/national-updates/item/1689-cbn-banks-sign-mou-on-power-sector-intervention-fundhttp://leadership.ng/business/390897/fg-signs-mou-9-oil-companies-supply-gas-power-generationWhen something bad happens, it is as a result of GEJ cluelessness, when something good happens, it is change taken place at the mere whiff of PMB the Daura President. |

Rawani: The continuous stay in offices by the ministers amounts to a fresh appointment by the president which needs the approval of the Senate in accordance with Section 147(2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
The section states: “Any appointment to the office of Minister of the Government of the Federation shall, if the nomination of any person to such office is confirmed by the Senate, be made by the President.”
Anything short of this will amount to a progression in illegality and unconstitutionality. The quoted part is very vague with respect to the thrust of your shallow thread. No where in that quote did it stress a time limit for ministerial appointment. Moreover they were already ratified by the senate in those capacities. |

Rawani: The existing cabinet was dissolved, any continuation would have been unconstitutional because the ministers have to be confirmed by the Senate before commencing another tenure. Your post says Jonathan sent the ministerial list to Senate after 1 MONTH of being sworn-in, and my post stated that the ministers were sworn in 6 weeks (two weeks later) after GJ was sworn-in, when they are functionally ministers. So whats the fuss? You can't believe the ministries didn't get to work till after 6 weeks despite all your hues and cries about Buhari? Did you see below . . . . . . . . Nwobike argued that since the ministers had already been screened by the Senate, a fresh oath of office by the president should not prevent them from performing their duties as ministers as long as the President has not sacked them.
He stated that it is only those who were not in the cabinet before that need to appear before the senate for screening and not those already serving.
Corroborating Nwobike’s submission, another lawyer, Fabian Ajogwu (SAN), faulted Keyamo, saying that he may have confused Section 151 (3) of the Constitution which deals with the appointment of Special Advisers Section 147(2).
Ajogwu noted that under Section 151 (3), any appointment made pursuant to the provisions of this section shall be at the pleasure of the president and shall cease when he ceases to hold office.
He stated that there was nowhere in the constitution where it was stated that once a minister is appointed, his or her tenure has a fixed duration and has to be re-screened by the senate.
He contended that it is only new ministers that need to appear before the senate for screening and not the old ones.
Also, an Owerri-based legal practitioner, Donald Dewingwe (SAN) in his contribution, faulted Keyamo, saying that there was no provision in the constitution that stops the president from retaining a minister or asking any of them to continue in office. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/anyim-appointed-sgf-as-jonathan-dissolves-cabinet/92324/ |

The list came precisely 29 days after Jonathan's inauguration and it was said to contain the names of 30 nominees. http://www.thenigerianvoice.com/nvnews/54806/1/at-last-jonathan-sends-ministerial-list-to-senate.html |
