I don't think that is normal. Let her call VAC now.
What is the response when tracking online?

Thank you, she didn’t get any update since they said they sent it to Accra VO. Didn’t think much of it since we heard people have not been receiving as many notifications as in the past. She called vfs and they said all they know is that it is not ready for pick up

Sorry about the refusal! I will encourage you not to lose hope! If you know your VO, message them directly with the dates and details of the web form you created and evidence that you have applied for the passport if you have that. My sister’s application was refused in May, and she got PPR this month after it was reopened.

In her case, her VO was Ottawa, and these were the addresses we emailed

CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca
ircc.cio-brcd.ircc@cic.gc.ca
Ircc.dndgo-bdgrn.ircc@cic.gc.ca
Osc-cso@cic.gc.ca

Vanillawafers:
Good day everyone. Please I received a refusal letter today due to an error from IRCC. I recently had a newborn and I formed IRCC to that effect via the web form. I received the automated reply that they would reach out to me. They did reach our and asked that I upload the passport biodata of my new born which I don't have yet. I reached out to them via the web from to ask for an extension and was expecting to hear from them that the extension had been granted. But to my surprise yesterday, what i did receive was a refusal letter yesterday stating that i did not provide the passport page requested before the stated deadline and did not communicate with them either for an extension which i did. I have sent another web form this morning explainingthis and also attached the automated email i received on the day I asked for an extension. ( it was not my first time asking for an extension regarding any document that I needed time to provide, the last being my spouse's renewed passport biodata which took forever. I was granted the extension for my spouse so Im no novice with their web form). Kindly advice me what other steps I can take to rectify this because starting the application from scratch due to IRCC's error is not an option for me. Looking forward to your kind contributions. Thank you.

Big thank you to @GraciousWords @Betterlife2018, and everyone else that responded to this. My sister got her ready for visa email today.

To be fair, her initial letter was not the best, but we wrote back to all the IRCC emails we could find to beg them to reopen the application, flagging that the letter said she was paid and highlighting the part of the letter that showed her role description even though it was a very vague sentience. One week later, she got new letters for all her jobs with specific bullet points for her duties and her exact salary and sent it to all the emails again with plenty of story mapping each Job description from the letter to what it matched in her NOC. The document was about 20 pages.

About three weeks after the first email, she got a letter from the VO saying he had some concerns about another job from her application, and they needed evidence that she did the duties in her letter. Wahala

Luckily for her, she still had access to her email from the Job, so she got emails and documents she worked on and created a doc for the VO. We connected each bullet point from the Job to an item in the NOC and attached evidence from her work email to back each one up with explanations. This was another almost 30-page document.

Two days after sending this doc, she got another letter telling her, her application was reopened, and her application went back to being in progress. A little over a week later, she got another email asking her for Form A, family info form, updated funds, and new police certificates. She sent that over this past weekend, and she got the ready-for visa email today, two weeks after the application was reopened.

I am sure she will post with more exact timelines here, but I wanted to respond to this because it was hard to find information on reconsideration requests when we started the process, so I want people to know that even if you made a mistake and especially if the VO made a mistake, you can challenge IRCC with evidence without a lawyer after a refusal if you were eligible for all your points when you submitted your application; This whole process took six weeks and was much cheaper than submitting a new application financially and time-wise. Wishing everyone who is still in this process all the best!

Good afternoon everyone, I have tried searching the thread, and I looked through page one, but I didn’t find anything. Please can anyone point me to any situation where someone got a rejected application reopened or share any advice on the situation.

My sister just received a rejection on her PR application after waiting over 20 months since October 2020; the application was rejected based on not having enough details on job duties/salary in her job letter. (The letter had some responsibilities mentioned, and it said that she was paid, but not the exact salary amount, but she attached her bank statement showing the monthly salary payment).

She has raised a web form with an explanation letter and the documents from the rejection with the necessary areas highlighted. She has also created another profile in case nothing else works for new draws in July. But a lot of time has already passed, and we would appreciate any other advice we can get. Thank you

She did not, Nothing since October 2020 but she got a new medical exam without request in February when Ottawa VO started working on older applications. At the beginning of May, the medicals was added to her application, then the rejection today

tshtsh:

Did your sister receive a procedural fairness letter prior to the rejection? I've read complaints from people regarding IRCC not responding to webforms
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by radeke2017: 3:02am On May 17, 2022
Thank you for responding, it did. It has the letter head and the working hours. The duties also match the NOC but the rejection letter said the letter didn’t have enough duties for them to assess and match to the NOC and the compensation wasn’t indicated. I believe the issue is that the duties were not itemized clearly - it was a paragraph summarizing her role. She can work on getting a new letter, if we are able to get the application re opened for re consideration

Did the reference letter follow certain specification like.

1. Letter headed paper.
2. Working hours
3. NOC MATCH

Hi everyone - I wanted to share that I was able to fly to the US and then Canada without any issues. I already had a visit visa to the US so I had that advantage, I stayed for a day and travelled to Canada by air and I didn’t have any issues. Sharing this for anybody that might have a US visa and COPR that might be interested in this long journey alternative

Please does anyone know anybody that has travelled Ethiopian or been denied boarding with post March 18 COPR this month. They posted on the 28 of last month that they should deny boarding to those without exemptions

Write a strong Sop and bounce it off some of the gurus here. For the employment situation is kind off a red flag ( just my opinion oh) but just wait for the gurus to respond sha. If there really is no masters in that field you can tell the VO you fell in love with that aspect during your Industrial training( Provided you did your IT in an IT firm) and you were unable to get a masters program that is specific. You have a very good profile, just ensure you try to make VO understand.

All the best

Thank you

Are you currently employed
Why a PGD not a masters program since you already have a BSc

No, I am not currently employed. I was unable to find a masters program in business analysis in Canada. And only diploma and certificate programs are approved by the international institute of business analysis.

Your documents are okay. But why didn't you try a masters admission since you have a second class upper degree? It might be hard to convince the Visa Officer as to why you chose a PGC over a masters degree.
I'll advice that you work on getting a masters degree admission against winter/fall 2018 and then you are good to go.
However, since you have paid tuition. You should apply for the Visa. Write a good statement of purpose and explain why you chose the pgc and maybe you will convince the Visa Officer.
All the best.

That was what I wanted initially but I couldn't find a masters program in business analysis in Canada. And only diploma and certificate programs are approved by the international institute of business analysis, Ild try my best to make my sop as convincing as possible. Thank you for the response
