hello friends
anybody studying in Bowie State University... I need some clarification in my course going for masters for computer science and I did library and information science.. any chance of admission.. please help someone Here?
My advice: Check the website yourself. There you can get more information about the intented course of which you plan to study. You can also call the registration/ admission center. You spend nothing more than 10 mins of phone. You can also do so by emailing the department.
Write down your questions before calling the office.
Education / Re: See What A U.S. University Says About Nigerians Studying There by RaeMystix: 1:55pm On Aug 29, 2017
Same situation in every college. So it's not a suprise

It's not harsh, its just the truth. We sometimes have to be honest with ourselves. No she cannot attend a community college, her grades are way too low, she won't get in. No i do not know the reason she could not achieve a better CGPA, but i would predict laziness and unseriousness were key factors. It's really not that hard to get straight Cs in school and end up with a 2'2 at the worst. What has prayer to do with this? Is God going to read your books for you? cheesy

I give up grin. To be quite honest, she would have alot more tough time making it in the States, if she fails to change her studying methods....(That's if her current GPA was due to lack of seriousness),but that doesn't mean she can't make it.
I know of a lady who barely graduated with a bachelors degree in Nigeria, but is now a practing
medical doctor in the States. Hers wasn't due to laziness, but was that of spiritual problems....That was the reason for my comment.
Education is the States is neither flexible nor lenient. Its in fact quite strenuous for Africans, but the only difference is that one has a lot more access to more equipments and aids that could help in achieving a better goal, (that's if one's smart enough to make use of the opportunities given).Still it is difficult.
So whomever thinks of coming to the States with the lazy and relaxed attitude towards his/her education, then he or she does have a rude awakening coming his/ her way.

She's not a US citizen or permanent resident. The US does not owe her an education so asking her to apply to a community college is moot. Community colleges aren't dumping grounds for people who didn't take their nigerian education seriously. You and I are on the same page - education isn't for everyone. I'm sure there's a job she can do or learn.
That's harsh. I am not saying community colleges are dumping grounds. She could attend a community college as an international student with perhaps lower SAT scores, or just take a placement test ( I may be wrong). I know education isn't for everyone, but do you know the reason why she couldn't achieve a better CGPA ?.Don't judge. She can make it if she focuses on her studies and pray ( I do believe in prayers).

Nah the sincere advice is that schooling in America isn't for everyone. If you couldn't be serious enough to earn a reasonable cgpa then learn a trade. A VO will be certain to dash her a denial with such a low cgpa.
Not everyone's destined to obtain a degree. I have seen folks that could not pass a common ESL class, but are doing great in terms of businesses . As for her, it's not too late. She could send her official transcript to WES ( nothing is impossible). A grade of D in Nigeria is viewed as a C is the US. Depending on the outcome, she could then apply to a community college, either to retake her low graded electives and general classes inorder to improve her CGPA before transferring her now new official transcript, or better yet start all over again. Graduate schools do accept mostly people with a 3:00 point and higher.....Especially when pursuing a masters degree in Science.

hi everyone

would love to hear from you all about my prospect am a graduate of pharmacology with cgpa of 1.75/5 have been working as a pharmacist assisitant. i intend going back for another bachelors in any medical science program.what could be my chances regarding my low gpa and interest for another bachelors degree.

i hope to hear from you all
Honestly speaking, you can not be admitted to any 4 year college in the States with a CGPA that is less than 2.00. My advice is that you go the community college route. You may have a better chance at transferring your credits in which you have a grade of C or higher. Nothing is guaranteed, but there is no sin in trying.
Just know that there a possibility that you would have to start all over again.

brothers looking alike in real life is messed up?
I'll love to hear your opinion on identical twins.
I thought we were referring to incest. Sex between siblings or blood related members. What those this have to do with twins. Or perhaps did i misinterpret your last comment?

Guess what?. I just re read your comment, and figured out what you meant. Yes, such could happen to brothers, most especially twins; but Jon's father is the Robert Ty. The only and only, with no identical sibling. I also read a trending article online, which confirmed my observation online and it was confirmed that Jon indeed sleep with his Aunt.

R.I.P Wall.
Don't think Tormund died. He actually might be if not the only one to get the info to Jon and everyone in the North.

Brian left the group to go solo, and then the group had a hard time staying together. Shane, Mark, Nikky and Kian grew up, and got married. Plus the songs of the early year 2000's are quite different from that of the 2010's ....They wold have to take off their shirts and learn rap to be able to have their albums sold.

Seconded, most expecially different types of braiding.
I would love to learn how to braid if I have the chance to, so I could make my own hair. It does cost alot of money to make hair.

Hair stylist or sewing , but being an hairstylist pays alot better than being a tailor.
