1. I posted several maps. (You are so lazy that you can't even look at page 6)
2. Benin kingdom is what is on the maps
3. When the maps were drawn, Benin Republic didn't exist yet.
4. Benin Republic took its name from Benin kingdom in the 1970's (several hundreds of years after the maps were drawn)
5. Benin city is the capital of Benin kingdom, not the entirety of Benin kingdom, you can see it on the maps
6. You are basically a child, you know nothing at all.
Let's assume that all you stated about the map are "correct" who drew the map on the first place? You don't believe the records of Yoruba, but believe the colonial masters from thousands of miles away, just as you believe they discovered rive Niger.

Your level of discussion of history is strange. Look is this your historical argument ?
Am I now to argue about this nonsense which you just typed ?
Again: oduduwa, oranmiyan never existed. They are fairytales, not historical figures ! Do you want to discuss history or fairytales ?
If you want to talk about fairytales, I prefer to talk about Peter Pan.
That's why I rightly put it that you're neither a Yoruba nor Edo, but simply a meddlesome Interloper. Stop pretending, we know where you came from.
No freeborn of Edo will say Oranmiyan was a fairytale that never existed. Without Oranmiyan, there won't be anything like Oba of Bini today.

A map drawn hundreds if years ago which shows Lagos as being part of Benin, to you that is less of a proof than your oranmiyan fairytales and all those your nonsensical claims ? Also a text written hundreds of years ago in which the author clearly says that Lagos is a part of Benin !
Cognitive dissonance, that is your illness right now.
You have problems comprehending what you see.
First, it's the map of Africa you posted and how it turned out to be map of Benin or Bini might be a product of your turbulent imagination.
Second, at the stage of yours, I don't want to believe that you don't know the difference between Benin city and Benin Republic, and that both do not have anything in common. Yes, no relationship between Bini city and Benin Republic.

One of my uncles is an Enogie, an other of my uncles is the governor of Edo-state, not that it has any importance in the discussion. But this is just to show that you talk without knowing what you are talking about.
Also the Oba of Benin said that oduduwa was a Benin prince who landed in Ife and his son oranmiyan came back to take the trone of his grand father.
And again, all that is not relevant to history, it is just a story. Oduduwa, oranmiyan...they never existed.
If truly you have any connection to Edo, not to talk of having an Enogie as an uncle, you'll never say Oduduwa and Oranmiyan never existed. Even Oba of Bini will curse you if you say it to him that Oranmiyan, his progenitor, never existed.

What nonsense did you post? You just posted a map and what exactly is the map showing that you want to call evidence?

Lagos being founded by Benin is supported by evidence.
Your claim of Benin being founded by Ife is supported by Yoruba mouths and zero evidence.

Benin is not limited to Benin city, Benin city is only the capital of the Kingdom. And Benin is much older than little Ife !
Map of Africa published in 1747 below:
Some of the evidences that Ife founded Bini is the name of the City, Yoruba surnames that is everywhere in Bini (Nobody is bearing Bini name in Lagos or anywhere in Yorubaland), Yoruba/Ife deities are being worshipped in Bini e.g Ogun, Osun, Olokun, Sonponna, Obatala etc. They have Orunmila and Ogboni temples in Bini
Another evidence is that they celebrate Odua (not ekeledaran or whatever) and Oranmiyan festivals in Bini - Igue Oodua, Igue Oranmiyan

Oranmiyan is like Peter Pan or batman or superman or father Christmas or captain America. You know nothing about history and that is why you confuse a fairytale with actual history.
But like most ignorant Nigerians, you believe you know better.
Even the same Oba of Bini said it with his mouth during his coronation that the 1st Oba of Bini was Oranmiyan from Uhe/Ife. It is you that's neither Yoruba nor Edo that's doing overheating on top of another people's (who are not even your immediate neighbours) history. Medlesome Interloper!
Politics › Re: Eko Founders’ Controversy: Academics, Olota, Lagos Chief Tackle Oba Of Benin by Raf4: 3:54am On Nov 30, 2023
Oba of Bini should also accept that Ife people founded Bini.
When Ife people (Yoruba) led by Oranmiyan invaded igodomigodo, they subdued the people they met there, changed the name of the settlement from igodomigodo to Ile Ibinu that's now shortened to Bini till today. They also established Obaship dynasty with Oranmiyan as 1st Oba and his descendants, from Eweka till today as Omonoba (the real title of Binis' King I.e. child of Oba Oranmiyan). Also know that Eweka wasn't the only Yoruba/Ife child left behind in Bini. Ife people actually populated the place with many children they gave birth to in Bini, most by Edo/Esan mothers. That's why we still have so many ancient Yoruba surnames in Bini till today e.g. Obasuyi, Alonge, Ajayi, Ojo, Falaye, Oyegun, Ogun...., Ade...Balogun etc.

The Oba of Benin has no relationship with Ife, his father is the previous Oba of Benin, his father's father was the Oba of Benin ...only the first son of the Oba of Benin can become the next Oba of Benin, so one of the few people whose ancestry can be traced for more than 1000 years, that would be the Oba of Benin, and it leads back to Benin empire and Benin city to be precise.
Has Oba of Bini ever told you he wasn't a descendant of Oranmiyan of Ile-Ife? Meddlesome Interloper.

Capital flight is ANY capital outflows that don't provide benefits to the local economy.

When someone comes to Lagos (with or without money), establishes a business and then repatriates the earnings outside Lagos instead of reinvesting it into the local economy. It's capital flight when there is a large exodus of these funds.

If 100,000 businesses repatriates #100,000 monthly, that is #120 billion yearly.

Do you know how much the Lagos economy would benefit if this money circulates within the local economy?
You're deceiving yourself. Just like saying if you sell your family land/house and used the money to japa to go do caregivers' work. When after running like 3 shifts/day and you struggled to send some money back home. Even if the money, after converting it to Naira, is enough to buy a nice building in Lekki, it doesn't amount to capital flights.
Out of wages paid you, you must pay house rent, buy food, energy, transport, insurances and taxes. So, their system has already withheld about 80% of your wages to keep their economy running. So the remnants you send to your village doesn't qualify as capital flight. Same is applicable to your activities in Lagos.

If you are wise, you would have understood what SE is doing to SW economy.

They will come to SW, work, make money and repatriate the fund to SE.

Capital flight...

😂😂😂

Keep wailing, SE will continue to send a lot of her workforce to SW to make money and repatriate.

One Nigeria Amaka
You keep shouting capital flights when you don't even understand what it means.
FYI, capital flight is common among foreign portfolio investors. They brought in their capital, invested it, but quickly repatriate the invested capital to their home country or elsewhere from the revenues generated. eg by charging outrageous technical fee on revenues, payment of outrageous amounts for imported raw materials, spare parts, bogus expatriate salaries and allowances etc.
In your own cases, you people came to SW to hustle. You didn't bring any capital. So, if you send money to your village for their feedings, to build house etc that's normal thing, eating the fruit of your labour and not capital flights.

IGR = Taxes

Anambra is a tax haven, in case you don't.

Again, SE leaders are more economically sound than their SW counterpart.

For instance, Alex Otti recently said that "Taxes are government share of the prosperity it creates."

Do you really understand what that means?

Have you wondered why SE Governors, especially Abia and Anambra keep lowering taxes?

You won't understand because you guys suck at economics.

Keep celebrating IGR which is not an economic indicator while your debts keep mounting.

You claim to generate the highest IGR in the country yet SW has the highest debt ratio.

It doesn't make sense.

If Anambra State government is tax-obsessed like Ogun and SW Governors, only Onitsha Main Market will generate the whole if whatever IGR Ogun gets.

You are making noise because of 120 billion.

FYI, 12 million daily transaction happens at Onitsha Main Market. The market annual transactions sits at around $3 billion, with 40% of this circulating as unbanked transaction.

You can verify these claims with a simple Google search.

If Anambra government taxes just 1% of these transaction, it'll generate $30 million annually, which is approximately 21 billion naira.

If government taxes 5%, it'll generate 105 billion from the market alone.

But Anambra has 48 markets.

So, trade and commerce in Anambra can generate more than Ogun IGR.

If you are underrating trade, then look at the evidence below.

Trade is the third largest component of Nigerian GDP, far ahead of manufacturing
Yet, your people are running away in droves from your so called "tax haven" of SE and trooping enmass to "tax sharks" states of SW.
If you dont know that tax is the biggest revenue earner to the governments anywhere in the world, then you're a quack economist or an impostor. Stop being an embarrassment to the economic/financial world.
