shortgun: All we hear on this forum everyday is that the entire Igbo nation dislike Tinubu and by extention every Yoruba person. The divisive paid elements will never see people like Yul Edochi who is igbo, son to a veteran revered igbo elder; who has been an unapologetic Tinubu supporter.
People who attach tribal or ethnic identity to their political affiliations demonstrate a deficiency in cognitive reasoning and psychological development. They are a menace to themselves and society.

ariesbull: Not fighting ...I mean taking over a land
80% of Abia State lands were captured and conquered lands ! So the question is if you say the Igbo are slaves how come they keep conquering the lands of other tribes and taking it in ancient times
Remember the Aros were slave raiders they even took Efik land and Ibibio land today the land is Aro, Aba was an ibibio land it was conquered by Ngwa ..or do you want me to tell you how Nsukka conquered the igala and took their lands
So it's stronger tribes that conquer weaker tribes ...the way Fulani conquered Yoruba in Ilorin and took their land , the way Benin conquered the Ondos also You're high on fermented colos. Your tribesmen were slaves of those people you mentioned. Compare your huge population to the tiny acres of land you possess. You conquered nobody. Infact, those minority tribes around you all possess far bigger landmass than you are. |

I mentioned it earlier this week in other news that Saudi Arabia is secretly rejoicing that Israel is eliminating all those Iran backed hamas terrorists. Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia know the true history and identity of those claiming to be Palestinians today. They'll never allow them into their countries, only to do eye service support and send them aid and handouts. |
Politics › Re: Why Are Yorubas (okun) Not Allowed To Rule In Kogi State? by Raf4: 8:54pm On Nov 18, 2023 |
SOSinNigeria: Something funny is happening in Kogi state. This state has three major ethnic groups i.e. Ebiras, Igalas and Okuns (Yorubas). But sadly, since the creation of the state, only the Igalas and Ebiras have been ruling back to back. No Okun/Yoruba has ever ruled Kogi state since its creation.
In Delta State, there are three major ethnic groups i.e. Urhobos, Anioma/Igbos and Itshekiri. All of them have ruled accordingly. In Rivers State, both the Igboid upland areas and the Ijoid riverine areas have ruled.
So, why is Kogi state different? Even Dino Melaye, an Okun man who contested under PDP was disgraced. A major opposition party like PDP performed so woefully that ordinary SDP candidate almost won against APC.
SDP candidate was Igala. APC candidate was Ebira. PDP candidate was Okun/Yoruba.
Yet the contest was between SDP Igala and APC Ebira. Why are the Okuns maltreated in Kogi state? Politics is a game of numbers. Okun Yoruba are minority (3rd largest) tribe in Kogi state. Most of the time, they are either deputy Governor, SSG or speaker of the House. They had a wrong candidate (Dino) in just concluded election. Even majority of Okun Yoruba see Dino Melaye as a jester who is not fit to be a governor, so didn't rally round him for vote. |

Politics › Re: Group Faults Sanwo-olu Over Failure To Appoint Ndigbo by Raf4: 5:53pm On Nov 17, 2023 |
Benwallt: An Igbo group under the aegis of Concerned Igbo Elites (CIE) has cried out over the non-representation of Ndigbo in the government of Lagos State.
The group made their position known after examination, verification and scrutinization of the cabinet formation of the Government of Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In a statement made available to the media on Thursday, November 16, 2023, the group decried what they called a misnomer calculated at marginalizing the Igbo in Lagos.
The group made it clear that Ndigbo in Lagos are are not happy considering the cordial relationship existing between the Igbo and the Yoruba in Lagos especially since 1999, when the former Governor of Lagos State, now President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was in power.
The group maintained that such cordiality and peaceful coexistence between the two groups which have been the hallmark of the host and her visitors which have been jealously guided should not be thwarted for any reason.
Coordinator of the group, Aji Ibe said his group is surprised that no person of Igbo extraction is found in the current government of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, despite the struggle and efforts even at personal discomfort of some Igbo people in ensuring that the All Progressives Congress won Lagos and Nigeria at large.
Mr Ibe therefore called on the governor and the relevant stakeholders to halt what they call total marginalization of the Igbo in Lagos especially when viewed against the quantum of revenue which the Igbo add to the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the State.
Ibe said “We are concerned and we are not happy. We have our illustrious sons and daughters in Lagos, especially somebody like Honourable Jude Idimogu, who has served the state in the Assembly for eight years as a lawmaker; we think that such a man should be compensated especially when you look at what he did for APC, he campaigned vigorously, organizing press conferences, town hall meetings and explaining APC manifesto to his kinsmen, he should be compensated. He should have been given something like commissioner or Senior Special Adviser, it is not too much for him. What we are saying is that such a position can still be created for him and others like him.
Hon. Idimogu through his brainchild network, Abundance Movement, was able to mobilse his constituents for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Presidency and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the number one Governor in Nigeria. He also played key role in so many other associations formed to mobilise support for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu, such group as Igbokwenu for Asiwaju. Remember he also supported the election of Tinubu through Ohanaeze Ndigbo and other Igbo groups.
“He is not the only one, there are many Igbo people who worked for APC in this Lagos and across the nation, they should be appointed into Boards so as to give them a sense of belonging,” Ibe stated.
Secretary of the Group, Mazi Cyriacus Nnaji, a media practitioner, also spoke in condemnation of the serial marginalization of the Igbo in the government of Lagos. He said that there is no problem between the Igbo and the Yoruba.
He recalled what happened on the day of elections where a few individuals tried to cause trouble on both the side of the Igbo and the Yoruba due to differences in political opinions, but said such disagreements were subdued by the responsive interventions by people like Jude Idimogu.
“Our people are being marginalized, many see this as an oversight but this is a serious oversight and should be reversed. The Igbo race is not a negligible population, I can tell you authoritatively that the Igbo are second only to the Yorubas in the population of Lagos and so, they should not be ignored. We are not taking Lagos from the Yoruba, God forbid that anybody should ever think along that line. What happened during the election was a misunderstanding between two friends who were opposed politically but not our Igbo.” Those appointed in the past did they (igbo) appreciate it? They rather planned to hijack the state from Yoruba. Never again! |

The human tragedy that is unfolding in Gaza is heart-wrenching and Israel won't go unpunished.

And the Jews who had one time occupied what later became Palestine, where not also the 1st occupiers of that land.
So Britain and the world powers had no business allowing Jews who had been living in Europe for many centuries, to come to Palestine and occupy a place that was already Arab land over a 1000years ago. You're a bloody liar. Don't be ashamed of your Islamic heritage. Do you even know how the current crops of people calling themselves Palestinians came to being?
