@Nwebele LagosNIV would never comment on chances i am sure of that. They would only always make you undsrstand the consequences and that you can take your chance.

In all honesty overstayong your allowed duration always comes with some not soo nice consequences. Coupled with the fact that you came in for visiting and then ended up having your baby.

However since you paid your bills which is always good. It is now about been able to convince the VO and explaining why you overstayed. Like yoy had complications and the likes. The hopefully he/she might be emphathetic enough.

As to chances only God knows that for sure. But whenever you go for the interview have all your documents and possible letter fdom the doctor that you had complications.

Also i advice you avoid drop box so you have a chance to explain yourself.

My first advice for you and your wifey is to take this thread as part time job, get notepads and start reading from say Part 3 and arm ourself with all the info you need plus peoples diverse experiwnces.

Some of the questions you asked shows what yoy need is not first answers but info. and this thread has it.

1) Please when filling the ds 160 for a toddler accompanying his mother, does one select the b2 visa also or the b1/b2 visa option?
2) Also for the contact in the US option, since the mother has no relatives there, the doctor's office was chosen as a contact, my question now is does one still choose this same contact for the toddler in his ds 160 form.

2. Use your accommoodattion provider e.g your hotel. the vo at least expect you have plans for accommodation. USE the doctor as last resort because its you seeking medical attention not your toddler.

It wont be an issue. Just have your onward ticket to Dallas whether flight ticket or train or bus and you are cool.

if you plan to stay in Indianapolis first just have hotel or accommodation plans handy too.

Dear All, Good day. I have been a silent guest on this forum for a very long while and it has helped me tremendously. I really want to give back a little from my experience so far.
I am currently in the US to have my baby and I would like to share my POE situation at the Houston POE which I arrived last week.
First and foremost I want to inform us all that the immigration officers are on this page and read it all the time. They specifically mentioned this page to me and asked me to inform the house that they are with us. Not to scare anyone as I presume they may even be amongst us giving some input and guidance to us. He laughed at the change I intent letter we talk about here. I had it handy based on what I read here but i didn't even need to show it to him especially since he had laughed about how silly he thinks it is. My saving grace was that I had applied for the visa for vacation when I wasn't pregnant and I mentioned when asked that I will use it for child birth in future if I get pregnant. He saw that in my record. pls note that i was specifically asked this question and sincerely i thank God i was otherwise i may not have volunteered the information myself. However the Immigration officer at the POE says some of us will say we were not asked and it doesn't really matter we should have declared from the onset.
Secondly please always say the truth. No matter the cost. When you lie it apears like you are unscrupulous and can't be trusted.
Thirdly, let's not be scared of saying we want to give birth in the US. Both the consular officer and the immigration guy told me it's very legal to give birth in the US of you can pick the bills. All that is required is that you demonstrate that you know the bills and can comfortably pick them.
Finally please always always pick your bills and have your itemised receipts and zero balance handy. it's really unfair for us to use the Medicaid or other health insurance in the US. The citizens are taxed heavily for these services and getting it is like stealing literally. pls let's not do that . Sometimes we can be cohersed and tempted to do that even by some hospitals and doctors but don't fall into that trap. And as the nice guy I may at the POE adviced pls don't sign anything while in Labour. you may not be cordinated enough to read

through properly. God bless.

As long as you sincerely did not know before submotting your application for renewal- drop box. You might be called for an intervew and many have used dropbox without ben called.

If you are called simply package your previous birth receipts to show them . Also let them know that this visa is first for Your CFA Exam and that you r in your first trimester and might also go back for the child birth.

If you are not called. just ensure you first go for your CFA exams and when its tim for birth and you decide on US. get your corrspondence and go. then pay your full bills without taking any form or medicaid whatsoever.

Like i alway say givingbirth in the US is not an emergency and its serious business that must be handled seriously. However you can still achieve a lot in 2 weeks

Indiana might not be well frequented however you can be a TrailBlazer for others.
I believe you have a family or friend there the reason you want Indiana. If so ask them to give you names of hospitals or call them for you.

Yoy can also Google hospitals and doctors in Indiana and start calling and mailing them.

Also do have a second plan in case Hospitals in Indiana end up been too pricey. Texas and Chicago are well frequented options by mamas on this thread

4. Yes she should include you guys. she is travelling with you guys despite you guys having your visas already ( Let her also go with your data pagr and visa pages

And she didn't inform the embassy of her pregnancy because it was a drop box application. But she sent a mail to the embassy in June to notify the embassy of her change of intent. She currently in the states to have her baby her worries now is that. If she wants to reapply will she be refused cous she didn't inform them during the drop box application. Cheers family

The deed has been done. Whether she did it on purposs or not. She still has sometimes before worrying about renewal.
She shouldnt overstay her 6 months though.

No one can guarantee if she will have issues renewing or not.

Gist on the rest of my twin missionary journey, I was very lucky to get a woman at the airport to add one of my twins to her ticket and she helped me to carry them althru the journey. I called Qatar airways to change my ticket fro 4thsept to 25th aug in us but they said it will cost me 310 dollars, my hubby went to their office in Lagos and changed it with less than 50k. Its not an issue for your wife to take the two kids with her but the issue will be if she is going alone with 2 Kids how will she manage with them alone considering a third is on the way.

So i would advice you all apply as a family with your wife particularly applying for a Medical Visa and the rest of you normal tourist Visa.

And in your Visa Interview preparation ensure you are well prepared for possibility of been asked how your wife will cope with both kids if sheis travelling alone along withyour burden of proof and all.

Please book your bus and have your ticket handy at the POE. Yes you want to spend a night in NY its safer to book yoyr Chicago journey before you enter.

Hello Otokini01, sorry about the denial. It would b good if you can post the ttanscript of your VISA intrview so that the many great and experienced minds on this forum can peruse and give some one or 2 suggestions. But your budgetting seems to be a red flag and an area to look into already from the VO's remarks

To gt closer dates just keep refreshing the appointment page hoping to get a closer date. October is not too close and not too far too. Keep trying.

Almost all you need for giving birth successfully in the US is Here: ALL YOU NEED TO DO IT THE RIGHT WAY IS ONE OF THE PAGES ON THIS TOPIC FROM PART 1 to 5.

ALL IT WILL COST YOU IS READING INVESTMENT.

You never know what a simple search in that small tab above and beneath each page can do for you.

E.g Just try "Birth in Texas" for example and narrow it to Travel section and voila to get more than you need

Also put the names of some of the old timers in the same box and you will see their contributions.
Some of them comment in a whole lot of other topics but mhen it's not too much if you value what you can get from their past posts. ( I did for Nerf, modath, ladyGuinevere, dxbconnection, firsttymum and a few others).
Just look for someone that seems to mention a place or city or hospital that interest you. ( I have also contacted some of them and got valuable info Dupe007, mom2015, colouredgirl)

Some people might be interested in states that have been less frequented by mamas and papas here no doubt ( Oklahoma, Oregon, Wisconsin, the Dakotas etc). If you can read just some pages. You will know what to do and guess what YOU TOO can become the TRAILBLAZER for that particular state or city or hospital (Nerf and co did justice to Chicago some years back - God Bless you and others)

My only concern is that apart from the fact that the lady emailed me, the doument she sent . They promised to send a Doctor's correspondence for visa interview at a fee which looks more tangible than this but my instinct is leaning towards Dr M and Carlifornia.

Since she sent the documents via email I am sure the email was addrrssed to you. So just print the email that you exchanged along side the beakdown she sent.

Also you can use the details the doctors office sent to you as correspondence from hospital.

Since you have doctesperati corresspondence i am surethat can serve too.
