Universal? How old are you? 7?? I really hate the xenophobia brewing on this board. Nigeria's problem is far more complicated than these pedantic tribal sentiments. The elites (Nigeria's real problem) are united and all one in their quest to oppress us.

You think Orji Uzor Kalu, Fashola and El-Rufai have more differences than similarities? Don't deceive yourself my friend. We are simply pawns in the grand scheme of things. The earlier you realize this, the better.

We are talking of a population of people, not few individuals who can be dispensed with easily if the wider population know better. BTW, Orji Kalu is inconsequential in SE, politically speaking.

I was being sarcastic. But since you've so kindly elucidated us on your premise, I will say one thing, how does any historical decisions taken by a small set of people - 100 at most, account for classifying a whole tribe of people as selfish, greedy and whatever else you said above?

So it was 100 Yorubas that voted for Buhari? Abi? Even if you were mad at GEJ, was Buhari the solution?

BTW, I revised my post that you quoted to this below

Not because you have big noses, but because your eyes are not wide open nor sharp enough to see far beyond the immediate. After what the North did to Yorubaland beginning from Ilorin usurpation; the utter disdain for Yoruba muslims; the June 12, MKO, Obasanjo, Diya travails; the incessant Fulani cattle rearers killing Yoruba farmers; and the killing of southerners including many Yorubas in the North, for political and religious reasons, they generally still do not want to see far enough.

God bless the few Yorubas who have seen the light.

How About This: 3 Igbo's I admire and respect;
(1) Governor Rochas Okorocha.
(2) Barrister Monday Onyekachi Ubani.
(3) Librox Oshoma.

........They are Supporters of PMB!

Does that fan your ember of bigotry op?
So, you do thing everyone aligns to your primordial sentiments?
Its neither a Yorubish notion or not to antagonize a Politician. GEJ lost in an election and you suddenly became grossly tribalistic. Politics is a game of number and not ethnic fuelling.
Wake up op.

I do not care. My point is clear and universally accepted. Yours is myopic and smacks of infantile ''revenge mission''. We know better.

When a white man extols a slave it means the nigger is a good slave worthy of keeps. What makes a good slave? Obedience, simple! Yessa Massa!

In Haiti, the Dahomeans and Ashantis revolted. In Bahia the Yorubas revolted...to the point that many were repatriated out of Bahia and back home to West Africa rather than risk another uprising and victory in the hands of slaves.

It shows what Iboes have always been, and what they are till today .....a people perfectly endowed for servitude!

Bloody illiterate. Have you heard of Igbo landing >>>>google? It is about Igbo slaves who revolted in America, and is one of the few recorded slave revolt cases. And you liar, there was no recorded Yoruba slave revolt anywhere in history that I know of. Show me one.

The other one, Obasanjo, first helped destroy Nigeria, then contributed greatly to rebuild it, only to surprisingly help destroy it again. How can some people be so erratic and unreliable?

One state is conspicuously missing here:

Abia

OP, remove Ogun from your list and replace with Abia.

Lagos too is suspect because it is a conglomeration of different persons from different states. The native Lagosians are fugly.

However, if you consider all residents of Lagos to be Lagosians, then give it number 1 on your list

Also remove Edo. They are ugly and only enhance with cream. Add Akwa Ibom in place of Edo

Nigerians making Nigeria proud everywhere they go: 4 Nigerians Emerge Best graduating Students at Dillard University, U.S. They are Geniuses- Michelle Obama (photos & Video)

One Nigerian lady and three men were named as best graduating students at the Dillard University, New Orleans, and the U.S.A. The ceremony for 226 graduates was held at the University Auditorium and had the First Lady, Michelle Obama, in attendance. On that evening all eyes were on 20-year-old Merrilyn Akpapuna.

The Delta-State-born bright mind has obtained the highest distinction, Summa Cum Laude, in Psychology. The topic of her research project was sexual harassment. Moreover, Akpapuna won an award for highest academic achievements for the College of Arts and Sciences and another one for College of General Studies. She plans her postgraduate study at Western Michigan University this autumn. The graduate, who was also the valedictorian, a student who delivers farewell speech at the ceremony, shared the stage with Michelle Obama. The three other Nigerians are:

More photos and watch the video of Michelle's speech below...

– Victor Ogburie (Abia State) – Computer Science Major with minors in Physics and Mathematics. Academic award: Salutatorian – Summa Cum Laude; – Stephen Ogidi Igwe (Abia State) – Biology Major. Academic Award: Salutatorian – Summa Cum Laude. – Emole Anya Dimgba (Abia State) – Computer Science Major with minors in Physics and Mathematics. Academic Award: Salutatorian – Summa Cum Laude. Michelle Obama described the graduates of the “historically-black” college as a “sea of young geniuses”, told them they had opportunities and skills that their parents and grandparents never could have imagined. Victor Ogburie-Merrilyn Akpapuna-Stephen Ogidi Igwe-Emole Anya Dimgbadillard
She also remembered abducted GGSS Chibok girls, who now suffer only “for wanting an education and wanting to go to school.”

Politics / Re: Some Nigerians Abroad Go Kill Me With Our "Foreign" Accent:lo!l Lol!! Lol!!! by Ramnon2: 4:08pm On Aug 21, 2015
Adelaide2:
Some Nigerians abroad go kill me with their foreign accent

Few days ago, I had checked into a Best Western Hotel in a ''remote'' suburb of one of the New England States. Upon checking out a few minutes ago I had to resolve some issues concerning my bill.

At the from desk, I met the Manager, a black woman. After speaking for a while (in my lovely Igbo accent, of course) and she responding in perfect American accent, she went on to ask me, ''where are you from''. I hesitated a bit, thinking whether to say ''Biafra'' grin grin grin grin or ''Nigeria'', but I answered ''Nigeria''. Then she responded in a thick Igbo accent.'' I knew you were Nigerian when you first spoke''. ''Nice to meet you'' she says. And then went on to say ''My name is Ms Echexxxx, originally from Imo State'' (I have removed the last four letters of her last name).

Hahahah!

Igbo people don "colonize" everywhere and forming Ame. I never expected to see one in this part of America.

Anyways......

No surprises

And do you think the ibos in the southwest use their state of origins rather than their state of residence? why am i even engaging in this debate. if there's anything i've noticed about you. its your we vs them mentality. you don't have to compare yourself to the southwest. the only way we can really compare is when we go back to true federalism and even during that period. you played catch-up all through. the unitary system has failed the southwest so bad. but i'll advise you to do your thing. if one of your own achieves something great, celebrate and stop trying to make it a competition. you dig?

You obviously did not attend a university and if you did, it must be in Togo.

I pick out the following though obviously tainted with racism but nevertheless obvious today

Yoruba, Nupe, Hausa = almost fully civilised in towns and kingdoms with authority or governance structure

Eboes = Half civilised villagers. No city just shady villages with no apparent authority.

The writer could have predicted the first coup, the civil war and the massively vanquished half civilised Biafran villagers.

I'm out.

Civilization here meant organized towns. But despite that see how he described Igbos (indomitable) versus Yoruba (barbarous)

Today, Igbos have organized cities but Yorubas still remain barbarous, and their cities are in ruins with rusty roofs

the racist's soul is either in heaven or hell. that's by the way. like Jews, there is an account of our slavery, and even in that, our most conspicous traits and attributes are seen and acknowledged.

Yes, Igbos do not accept domination from others= indomitable
