AnonyNymous: Its not a matter of Stevie Wonder coming out to tell the healers. He has admitted that there are challenges with being blind. Anyone who heals him will bring immense joy to Stevie while at the same time converting millions of atheists to Christianity. It would be a wonderful event and nobodynwould have cause to doubt again. But nobody has attempted, because it can't be done. Its not real. Does Stevie Wonder believe in faith healing? It's one of the requirements you know. |

AnonyNymous: All I did was ask why Stevie Wonder has not been approached by a healer to prove god's glory. After all, he's a believer, and he's famous which means everyone will recognise and accept it, because everyone will be SURE its not a set up. Who told 'healers' are interested in 'proving God's Glory'. Has Stevie Wonder come to tell you that he wants healing? |

AnonyNymous: Interesting! So once you are famous, even if you believe in god you can't be healed! Wow! And can you back that up with the bible? If there's no back up, who are you to decide who your god can't and can heal? However, THIS is from your bible. This man was rich and owned vast lands and properties so he was obviously famous. And he was healed by Paul.
"In the vicinity of that place were lands belonging to a man named Publius, the chief of the island. He welcomed us and received us cordially as his guests for three days. It so happened that the father of Publius was sick with a fever and dysentery. Paul visited him and, after praying, laid his hands on him and healed him. After this had taken place, the rest of the sick on the island came to Paul and were cured. They paid us great honor and when we eventually set sail they brought us the provisions we needed." - Acts 28:7-10 This is not what I said. Abeg read my comment. Fame is not one of the requirements does not mean that fame is ''contra-indicated''. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Bible Contradictions;raphiemontella(skeptic) VS Doctoralien(christian) by Ranchhoddas: 1:12pm On Sep 27, 2016 |
DoctorAlien: GOD was expecting that moment when they would disobey Him. And we see that immediately they sinned, GOD promised a Seed to come. It shows that GOD was ready for that moment.
You know what they say "hope for the best, but expect (be ready for) the worst." An omniscient cannot hope for the best and expect the worst. Is God omniscient? |

He's a famous singer, millions of records sold, and he believes in god. What is wrong with any pastor healing his blindness? After all, everyone knows he's been blind so his story will be believed by EVERYONE. cc hopefullandlord There are rules governing healing. Fame is not one of them. |

AnonyNymous: But have you also asked yourselves why these pastors have not done a 'healing' that's impossible to fake? Like growing of a limb? Even raising the dead can be faked. All you need is an excellent actor and makeup artist. But something equally physically impossible and clear to see should be done There was a limb-growing challenge here. Where were you when it was happening. Perhaps you'd have taken up the challenge. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Bible Contradictions;raphiemontella(skeptic) VS Doctoralien(christian) by Ranchhoddas: 12:26pm On Sep 27, 2016 |
DoctorAlien: This statement is inherently wrong. There is sin in the world today and there is good too in the world because of freewill. Some people choose to do evil, while others choose to do good. You have a choice. You're not forced. That's freewill.
GOD gave Adam and Eve a command. GOD commanded them because He created them, and to test their loyalty to Him. If they heeded His voice, they would live on forever, but if they disobeyed, they would die. GOD did not force them to choose.
Any choice has a consequence. We are free to make choices but we are not free from the consequences of the choices we make. Did God know that Adam and Eve were going to sin. A yes or no would do. |

So We can as well conclude that Germany footballers didn't play with free will in the 2014 worldcup, afterall Octopus Paul correctly foretold the results of their matches even before the matches were played.
By ur conclusion abi? Hmmm I hope you know this is a very foolish analogy. Octopus Paul guessed rightly. Not all his guesses were correct. Don't tell me you believe that the Octopus had super powers. |

felixomor: Yeah right. So because I know what u will do in the future automataically means u were not "free to choose" abi , ? Your conclusions sha?
Well that aside. No time. Let me stick to the topic of the bible verses. If you know what I'll do then I don't have freewill. It's logically impossible for foreknowledge and freewill to exist at once. |

felixomor: Let's not digress much, as usual.
The most important thing is that the man chose life because he had an understanding of God's ways and some other people could av also said "its over" and chosen to pass on. Hence the freedom of choice. That's the point of a freewill and free choices. Period on that. I would have been surprised if you had given a good answer. If God knew, then he did not have freewill unless you do not know freewill means. My question is in no way a digression. |

hopefulLandlord: bros it gets even worse in the corporate world
there are several contracts I would be fighting for that hit a brick wall
I would then tell a white friend to call such potential clients and pretend like my boss
once the clients hear a British or American accent, their brain melts and you see them agree to award the contract to me
so many such contracts have been won this way
there was even one that agreed to pay more than I was negotiating, all because some soft British accent was at the other end, they've not even seen if he's really white, they just hear a "white voice"
My white friend just laughs about it which I also do
but I think deeply about it when alone and it makes me SAD!! Don't be sad. I need a contract/job/loan. Which one you get for me? I am depressingly broke and this country dey show me pepper. |

Lennycool: Did Jesus pass these laws in the Bible? If so share the verse. If not stop making stupid excuses. Wetin concern Bros J for this matter now? A frequent statement of Jesus in the Bible was ''Thine faith has made thee whole''. There are also towns where he could not perform much miracles because of their lack of faith. You should also bear in mind that rules have exception though before you start getting ideas. |
