There is a reason why a 2 generations old device will bench a week old Infinix device.
Redmi Note.7
No 1 and 8 (Top Ten Devices)

ZesusHVWritter: I am going to post this screenshot against the infinix note 7 thread on twitter You are welcome, sir. |

Qsand: Correct. Thank you. Well said Since you, the OP, agreed to these conclusions, then, Redmi Note 7's Versatility should be at least 8.5/10 Infinix Note 7: 4.5/10 |
Phones › Re: The Final Battle - Infinix Note 7 Vs Redmi Note 7 (R-rated) by Randerl: 9:57am On May 23, 2020*. Modified: 10:20am On May 23, 2020 |
Qsand: We aren't taking into consideration the release date in this comparison, so yes. I believe it is justified.
Increased camera count with additions of depth and macro sensors is mostly for marketing not just in Nigeria. So yes. Every other camera aside the primary and ultra wide in the infinix is for marketing. You are using an outdated Redmi Note 7 to justify the low spec device recently released by infinix. You are trying to hoodwink buyers into buying a substandard product at an unjust price. |
Phones › Re: The Final Battle - Infinix Note 7 Vs Redmi Note 7 (R-rated) by Randerl: 9:19am On May 23, 2020 |
Youngsage: You are comparing an Infinix that was launched barely yesterday, to a Redmi launched over a year ago? That is what the OP initiated. the infinix note 7 is 2generations late to Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 level. Infinix note 7 cannot withstand the Redmi Note 7's current siblings(Redmi Note 8 n 9). The Redmi Note 8 when pitched against the week old infinix note 7, it will be an unfair comparison based on specs, longterm usage and price. |
Phones › Re: The Final Battle - Infinix Note 7 Vs Redmi Note 7 (R-rated) by Randerl: 9:03am On May 23, 2020*. Modified: 9:18am On May 23, 2020 |
The OP has ended up justifying these 2 points, viz:
1. Xiaomi devices are future proof.
2. Xiaomi made devices don't use outdated hardware or software. |

Thanks seen.
An attempt to compare 15 month old Redmi Note 7 with a week old low spec infinix note 7 in order to justify the outrageous price charged by Infinix will definately hit the rocks. |
Phones › Re: The Final Battle - Infinix Note 7 Vs Redmi Note 7 (R-rated) by Randerl: 8:50am On May 23, 2020 |
seunfly: U Think GSMArena did not know what's up, they knows Infinix is likely to lie about the spec but it is not their duty to tell public about it, their duty is to publish the specs the the manufacturer presented to them, why don't they put the same disclaimer for Redmi or other brands like Samsung/Huawei/OPPO/Realme and co. aptly put, thanks. |
Phones › Re: The Final Battle - Infinix Note 7 Vs Redmi Note 7 (R-rated) by Randerl: 8:45am On May 23, 2020 |
khingTony: OP, you did well, but there are some nitpicks about your assertions
1. DESIGN the design of a device is not about how beautiful the device looks, but it also entails its build quality, its resistance to falls and drops and also its overall appearance. so in this case the Redmi Note 7 Is the winner here because it has a glass front and back(Gorilla Glass 5), while the Infinix note 7 is as usual, a plastic toy.
BATTERY
The Infinix Note 7 seems better on paper, because GSM arena claimed it has fast charge 18W(same as the Note 7), which is not confirmed yet, but on paper, Its better. Modified.. Thanks. |
Phones › Re: The Final Battle - Infinix Note 7 Vs Redmi Note 7 (R-rated) by Randerl: 7:56am On May 23, 2020*. Modified: 8:39am On May 23, 2020 |
On the other hand, after the price we see some series benchmark tests and various outcomes of tests, performed on the Redmi Note 7's camera, speaker, audio quality and Battery endurance rating.
Unfortunately this cannot be said of the infinix note 7.
From the above, anybody hoping to buy a new phone will do well to consider buying the Redmi Note 8 or Redmi Note 9 since the Redm Note 7 may no longer be in production and the infinix note 7 cannot be compared to the Redmi note 7 and its successors.

The OP is using GSMArena as the source for his specs sheet.
Now after all the specs of the Infinix Note 7, the price is the last item on the specs followed by a disclaimer from the site.
No test, no benchmarks but a Disclaimer.

Qsand: *facepalm* that means you did not read it. I understand. It's quite long, hehe From your post are these scores okay Redmi: versatility 6/10
Infinix: versatility 8/10
when you consider the hardware capabilities ,of both devices not minding that the Redmi Note 7 was released February 2019 and the infinix note 7 was launched just about a week ago. Are your ratings justified? Dont you think it was designed to influence the buying decisions of the ignorant Nigerian/African buyers |
Phones › Re: The Final Battle - Infinix Note 7 Vs Redmi Note 7 (R-rated) by Randerl: 7:18am On May 23, 2020 |
Qsand: I didn't want to make the post any longer than it was. Gsmarena is nearby na. Okay. Because l expected you to highlight some of the main capabilities of the Redmi Note 7 such as the main camera recording 1080p videos @30/60/120fps, front facing camera also records 1080p videos @30fps. Not only that, it comes with USB type C reversible capable of fast charging @18w. |

livebyday:

Stop reviewing these Chinese garbage phones here !!
They have destroyed the world with their Corona virus and you are here telling us about these rubbish disgusting phones that can't even stand the test to be sold in any reasonable country? The Chinese are evil they are worse than Lucifer you can never ever compare them to the Americans
Look at those working for American companies here in Nigeria like Microsoft, Intel, Chevron, Apple
Just Compare their quality of life ,salary and allowances with those working in Chinese companies here in Nigeria like transsion , Huawei, infinix , tecno, Transsnet, palmpay, And other rubbish Chinese companies the difference is clear!
All you see is the Chinese company staff look flashy but deep down they are low quality and frustrated just like Chinese products, their staff are underpaid , under appreciated and back stab each other all day
Even staff in Korean companies here in Nigeria like Kia and Samsung have a better quality of life and wages than those working in Chinese companies
There is nothing good about working for or with Chinese in Nigeria they are a terrible set of human beings , I mean horrible
Go see what they did to Nigerians living in China during this covid 19 pandemic Nigerians need.to have some self.respect ! Chinese do not respect you at all, while they might smile and send you an email saying good work they laugh at you and refer to you as dumb monkies .
See how they treated Nigerians like animals there in China during the pandemic , yet you welcomed their doctors here like super stars so.why won't they see you all as dustbin monkies ?
Stop advertising Chinese products if you must do so charge them triple what you would charge any other brand.
Despite what you might think they don't see you as Intelligent, this is why no matter how brilliant your idea is your Chinese boss will rather give it to a Chinese to implement than to give you the credit and full support to implement your idea.
Chinese will take you to an eatery and tell you how brilliant they think you are then take selfies with you but when they are alone they laugh and are amused at your zeal to please them like a pet monkey
Nigerians don't have self respect , the Chinese respect Kenyan, Ethiopian and other African citizens more than they respect Nigerians do you know why? ?
Those other Africans don't jump and say yes master at the sight of Chinese , they hold the Chinese accountable and demand standards from them unlike Nigerians
The Chinese are not allowed to sell tecno ,infinix and itel In South Africa, because of the low quality build of these devices and the Chinese can't bribe the standards organization boss there in south Africa unlike here in Nigeria
The Chinese are not your friend, they are a despicable breed of human beings Thank you sir. |

princemillla: U r 100% right. But do u know the funniest thing. I work in a gadget store. Befor any other products sells 5 devices transion would av sold 60.
I implore u guys to do the bashing in the right way so transion can step up their game My Oga, regarding anything smart Tech, l respect you alot but note this in the not too distant future, Transsion will be a marginal player in the African Smartphone market. |
Phones › Re: The Infinix Note 7 Is Insanely Good by Randerl: 7:38am On May 16, 2020 |
princemillla: With all this noise Infinix will still sell this fone to the public may be thousands of people both in Nigeria and outside.
The truth is, transion marketing, did a great job by mapping area of concentrations. They know what we want physical design. How many people in Nigeria knows about gpu, knows about charging wattage?
U guys should quit lambasting them, they Re simply exploring the mass illiteracy. @bolded is the reason for this public enlightment. What Transsion is doing today to thier African users, Micromax did same to indians more than 5years ago. Xiaomi changed the narrative. Samsung went back to the drawing board and came up with stunning products from their excess inventory for the Indian market. Dont worry, Xiaomi entire product lineups, the Samsung Aseries and Nokia are already redefining the Nigerian/African Smartphone market. |
Phones › Re: The Infinix Note 7 Is Insanely Good by Randerl: 7:00am On May 16, 2020*. Modified: 7:20am On May 16, 2020 |
ZesusHVWritter: Honestly speaking sir. You said it all, its obvious they have swallowed up the R& section of their organisation and have given more attention to their deceitful advertising. So much they have chosen to spend more money and time in deceiving Nigerians than producing reliable devices with competent hardwares. Redmi 8 was the second highest selling device in India, coming behind Samsung A51.
Yet, xiaomi or Samsung didn't go about begging for top artist and actors in India to come persuade people to buy their product.
I don't know why Nigeria has to go through all these pain and disappointment. Well even India once had same treatment from micromax until the citizens were fed up. Hopefully, our time is now, not later. @Bolded, well captured. Micromax threw away the goodwill they had and decided to sell overpriced, bloated junks to their customers. Today, Xiaomi and Samsung are pounding Micromax to the ground with their weight in the Budget and Mid Range category. What you see Tecno and Infinix doing with multiple product launches within a short time frame is to saturate the market with thier overpriced plastic rubbish, hire an iphone welding celebrity to hype the nonsense and expect THE SAME OLD RESULT i.e. illiterate tech buyers to buy in large numbers. Transsion knows it is game up. UnboxTherapy will be regretting for being associatied with these expensive plastic rubbish. The guy actually pounded below his weight class by hyping Transsion products to an internationally enlightened class. Various comments on his Tecno/infinix product videos show disdain for the insanely expensive junks. In order to avoid the Transsion quagmire, Nigerian/African Tech buyer will do well if they research into other well priced products. |
