According to them, “tertiary institutions hardly fill their available spaces”, and that the need to go abroad is not caused by a “shortage of spaces or standards” but “partly” due to unrealistic benchmarks. I think schooling abroad, like medical tourism, is a result of failed systems and very little standards. The worst admitted cut-off mark in a Nigerian institution is “far better than allowing them to fly out to some of the institutions they are attending”, JAMB says. Ahmed said that the dam, when constructed, would end the problem of water supply as well as enhance irrigation activities in the community. He said that the construction would commence as soon as the money was released. Commissioner for Rural Infrastructure, Alhaji Hassan Pakka, also announced that the council approved electrification of some rural communities in the state.
