Hey guys...

Good news..

As the PPR hall of fame champion raises shoulder pad... i want to officially draw your attention to this...

In case no one has noticed, Part 7 has recorded the highest PPR scripts so far and still counting...

See the trend below:

pt 1 - 38
pt 2 - 74
pt3 - 77
pt 4 - 79
pt 5 - 73
pt 6 - 85
pt 7 - 98

What could be the reasons??

1. Increased learning curve... people are getting more knowledgeable on the EE process subject matter

2. Increased guidance from experienced hands to newbies

3. Well detailed page 1 that has reduced the number of questions asked, thus slowing down the speed of the part (giving opportunities to more PPR script announcement)

4. People have embraced the need to share their scripts (in a more detailed way), even as silent followers... thanks to increased awareness

5. People have desired to be scored and rated highly (increased competitiveness

6. add yours here......

I am waiting for the 100th PPR script... so we can celebrate you in a grand style and put the accolade right by the side of your name on the hall of fame list.

Thank you guys for all you have done in this thread.

We hope that subsequent threads would be much better.

Above all, thank God for helping Nigerian applications.

Please, do not hesitate to tell your relatives, friends and family about this thread... Let them have an experience of it..... and reduce the scam rate out there.

LET'S EMPHASIZE ON DOING IT YOURSELF (DIY)

God bless and have a nice day ahead!!!

If he is unable to track the headmaster, and has to do the JD himself, he should attach excerpts of any publication that officially shows that the school has shutdown. That should convince the VO better.

Ifeoma77:
He has a very good profile. At 28 and with a Masters, he can use only the one year NYSC experience.
The school getting shut down is not a problem, he should write his JD by himself and the add LOE to explain that the school was shut down. Then he can provide bank statements to back up his pay for that period and if possible NYSC deployment letter to the school (& discharge certificate).
Alternatively, he can track down the former principal/headmaster wherever he/she is to write the reference for him

Congratulations oo..

This is good news. The Lord has done it for you.

Thank God for your mum and sis that helped you at the times you needed them.

I will rate this script 7.2/10. Thank you for sharing with us.

As for your medicals, you can send them a mail requesting for an extension. However, sometimes it does not work.

So i'll advice you to prepare as though you would travel before its expiry. if they however extend it, then its to your gain.

I wish you the best in Canada.

God bless you!

Wow such a long wait.

I can imagine the stress involved.

Thanks for sharing your PPR script with us. I am sure some people have learnt a few things from your app.

E.g.. leave your 100% POF intact till you get PPR to reduce the risk of getting rejected.

I will rate your script 7/10... but for being creative, I will add 0.3 to your score.

Final score is 7.3/10... Nice one

Keep shining.

God bless!!!

Hmmm... Just so u know...

The fact that you have gotten bio-metrics notification and medicals passed is no complete indicator that R10 is completed.

I have reviewed more than 100 GCMS to tell you that with 100 percent certainty.

Uploading your ECA report is the best decision you made.

The chance of rejection is very high if you don't upload that document.

Cheers**

johnnybravo1990:
Concerning the issue of whether uploading ECA is a must, maybe this will throw more light.
Just to refresh our minds, I didn't upload my ECA report when I submitted u application; I only uploaded my degree certificate. But as advised by people in this forum, I was to raise a CSE to add my ECA report, and I did all that, not minding that I had filled in my ECA details--ECA certificate number and date of issue of ECA report--when I submitted my application.
The CSE was raised for the ECA a week ago. However, I got my Medicals passed and biometrics requested just 2 days after the CSE and even completed my biometrics three days later, even when the CSE had not been attended to. The response for the CSE was just received some hours ago (1 day after
my biometrics completion), as seen in the picture below.
I think this should once and for all prove wrong the argument that uploading ECA in your application is compulsory to prevent application rejection by virtue of an incomplete application (R10 completeness check). I still maintain that the most important document for your proof of education is your uploaded degree certificate and ECA details being asked of; if ECA upload was vital for a complete application, I wouldn't have gotten Biometrics request.

You would have to write some exams if you want to convert from ICAN to ACCA. Have not gotten a job yet.

Hollarmighty:
Thanks. Do you know anyone who has converted ICAN to CPA. Considering ICAN's relationship with IFAC. I can imagine the cost of conversion. Have u gotten a job.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by raphrulz: 10:56am On May 07, 2019
A course... The individual would go to CPA site and pay for it before he/she is granted access to do it online.

Ohh i see.. I'm just knowing about this oo.

Please, can you enlighten me on this.. does it mean that a person cannot just arrive and give birth in like the 2nd month after arrival??

19CannyMum:
You have to live in Alberta a certain number of days to qualify for healthcare. If it's found out that you moved out before the said number of days you would be asked to refund whatever expense you accrued.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by raphrulz: 7:53am On May 07, 2019
Well, impossible is nothing. People with ACCA get jobs (whether entry or experienced roles) in CA. At least i have heard of a couple of them. But i can say for certain that your chances are better increased when you have your CPA. That's why most accountants over there work towards achieving it. You can also do other North American based exams like CFA, CRMA, CFE, CIA etc. to increase your chances further, depending on your chosen accounting field.

Orange1234:
wow, God is indeed awesome. It took about 5 months or so. Since it takes a while for the conversion process to CPA, Is ACCA recognised by employers in that you can get a non-entry accounting/ finance position in your region while waiting for CPA? I'm just wondering since i'm an ACCA myself. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by raphrulz: 7:51am On May 07, 2019
No paper.

However, you will do a refresher course (course on Canadian law and tax). All these cost money oooo... POF go juz dey reduce anyhow.

It's well.

Hollarmighty:
Hi,

Congratulations on your achievement. Are you saying you didn't have to write any paper after applying with your ACCA?
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by raphrulz: 7:49am On May 07, 2019
My best advice to you (which one of my friends is adopting), try and land in a province that medical healthcare starts from day 1, say Calgary, then you can subsequently move to another province. If it's Ontario, my dear, nothing like healthcare in the first 3 months.

Cheers**

Newbeecey:
Wow!!! Thats scary. Someone mentioned though that after i get the PR card, it might be possible to claim back the hospital fees. What do you think? (quote author=canadaman18 post=78157326]

Thanks.

British Columbia... I converted from ACCA. I started the entire process in mid November. That was when i first messaged them declaring my interest to apply. I got the membership on May 1 and had to pay pro-rated subscription + membership application fees to complete the process. Cost me over a thousand CAD. If you don't pay the amount within 30 days... the process would be restarted and all efforts lost.

Orange1234:
CONGRATULATIONS. What province? also was it conversion from ACCA? If so, please how long did it take from when CPA got your full documents?

Did you click yes for using representative??

if yes,... and you don't intend to use one... then write an LOE stating that you don't intend to use one and send to one, and the fact that you filled it by mistake.

There would be no need to fill the form again.
