I want to thank everyone it's been a journey. I registered for wes as far back as 2014. But one lost interest until dec 2017 when we had fuel scarcity.. no light no water no fuel.i just got fed up and encouraged my wife. Who later became the PA.

To all those who are looking for something like this, the God that did this for us, will do it for you in Jesus name. Amen. The PPR was a good Easter present for us.

I took time out of nairaland after aor to relax, because the journey is not for the faint hearted neither is the cost but all in all it will end in praise

The decision to migrate was made in early 2017.

Evaluated my master degree with IQAS and hubby's ND/HND with WES.

We wrote IELTS 9 times (mine 8 and hubby 1)

I passed IELTS at the 5th attempt with LRSW - 9777

Unfortunately, this placed us at 439 and went for two more with 0.5 deficiencies in writing.

I then took the last test on 1st December 2018 and had LRSW - 8.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5.
This breakthrough in writing came when Dr Benson offered to teach and review my write-ups. Our CRS score then moved to 445

I never got tired of writing the exam as it was the only mountain before me that needs to be leveled for us to have ITA.

My utmost thanks goes to the God Almighty !!!

I also thank my friends Oby, @Zinggi and @Wasseynet for always being there to listen to my silly talks and unnecessary worry at odd hours of the day (you all will rest now).

Thank you so much Doc Benson for bringing the breakthrough in my writing.

To as many as are looking unto God for PPR, the Lord will grant it.

Quite sad, so many people are excited to flee their motherland to help grow and build up a white man's land. It's just like what my friend used to say, 'immigration is modern day slavery except this time they do not have to forcibly chain able bodied men to slave ships or rape our women, they just make it easier for your youngest and brightest minds to simply emigrate in droves'. Who will build this country if you all leave, have you ever thought of that? You think once you run to Canada you will still have any reason to return home? How about your kids? Do you think by taking them to Nigeria for 3weeks vacation will entice them to one day relocate to their father land? Sure nobody thinks about these things. The biggest problem the black race has is selfishness while the white man thinks about the greater good of a community. Everyone only thinks about what will benefit them and their family and that's where it ends. Even in the so called abroad, your fellow Nigerian will not want to accommodate or guide you because they think you will be better than them. Common info about schools, work or getting certain government documents, your fellow Nigerian in the diaspora will not help you. White countries and white people In general are successful because they collaborate and help each other. U.S, Canada and the UK are amongst the most developed countries today due to strong trade and military alliance. A white employer will hire a fellow white man for a lucrative job position before he hires an immigrant with the same credentials.

Before anyone says I'm ranting because I was denied Visa or whatever PPR thing you guys relish here like a lottery ticket, I also used to think abroad was the be all end all after graduating from university. I also hustled and eventually left Nigeria. I made $265,000 that year working several overtime hours (I have the W-2 and tax return forms to prove it) but I was never really satisfied because this part of me kept feeling like I betrayed my country. It takes a special kind of person to self reflect and then decide to walk away from a lifestyle of adequate security, good health care system, great schools, cheap food and law & order but without any sacrifice, Nigeria will perpetually remain a 3rd world cesspool. I moved back, got a job and started a mentorship and scholarship program where we find youths whose families are unable to pay their elementary and secondary school fees and we partner with local businesses to raise funds for these kids. School isn't for everyone, we also train several kids in IT, carpentry, plumbing, construction and mini importation. Has it been easy? No. Do I sometimes miss the convenience of my 2 bedroom apartment in north Los Angeles? You bet I do. But do I feel accomplished knowing that I'm making a positive change in small ways that will alleviate poverty, possibly reduce crime and put more food on the tables of a few Nigerians? Certainly.

The UN needs to look into countries like Canada that take advantage of the dire situation in Nigeria and prowl on our brightest and youngest minds for the sole purpose of developing their country and replacing their aging workforce. Just today, their Prime minister was begging President Buhari to give him 1 million Nigerians. This just sounds like the year 1756 where the white man met with local chiefs and traded silver, mirrors and gun powder for African slaves. While I know most of you have made up your mind to flee your motherland, the least I can urge you to do is to find reputable charities and NGOs in Nigeria and donate to them once in a while. I submitted these documents on 31st March and my ppr landed on 4th April. Whoops!!!! This journey was indeed an emotional roller coaster but God came through for us. Our VO is Ottawa.

Good day guys, I know I haven’t been active here. I just pop in once in a while to read through and gather whatever info I may need. We got our PPR on 04/04/19 and submitted passports the next day. We submitted our application on 02/11/18. I am grateful for the info I gained here and pray that those who are still waiting would also get whatever they are waiting for.

I am very sorry I am not good writer. I wish I could call someone up and tell him/her the story of my journey and have them write it cos I really really enjoy reading PPR stories
My application was basically simple and straight forward.
For IELTS St Joseph of Cupertino's prayer and novena came through.
Proof of Employment came with ease, employment letter, promotion letter, pay slips, and letter from HR in CIC format.
Proof of Sibling was Marriage certificate showing same parents, and attestation for both of us.
( I got attestation by proxy for my sibling. (I d carry am go give am for canada)
Proof of Fund was a clear act of God. Used notarized gift deed. I Left the lump sum in my account no treasury bills or fixed deposit. Submitted 6 months statement with a letter from the bank that was almost in CiC format.
My advice, please just start the process and see how u will receive wisdom on how to get funds.
Proof of marriage;
My church wedding was 3 years ago so i entered the pool as married, got ITA as married, only after ITA I decided to do court and add to my church wedding cert. So i submitted my church wedding certificate, wedding pictures, and court marriage cert.
No LOE
I read all the pages of this thread, in fact I studied it. And it was worth it. The wealth of knowledge on this forum is beyond measure. Thanks to all who have researched and used their 'data' to put info on the thread.
Special thanks to Smlive, and vickyehi, they assisted me with info when I needed it.
The way we have supported each other on this journey makes me know there's hope for Nigeria, I mean 'we good people' and 'great nation' later

Got my PPR in approximately 6months(5days before estimated completion date).

IELTS messed me up like 3 times all because of listening, finally I had 8.0 averagely using MOD(September 2018) and had a score of 468 with my masters.

While attempting IELTS my ECA was already completed by WES.

I had been feeling down for a week and actually decided to type this on Monday as a therapy and put my PPR date as 10/04/2019 but hey what is one day?
I was jejely taking lunch this afternoon and my second son was fighting me for it, then i got an email alert, saw it was a "do not reply mail", omo, i no know when i drop the food o.
All in all, i am very grateful to God. 9months 18day wait was no joke but hey, the joy of PPR has overriden that. For everyone still expectant, may your joy be full and your expectation will not be cut off.

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry".

A big congratulations to u.

I can relate with the high level mediocrity in this country. A lot of negligence all over the place.
