PoliticsBuhari: Political Developments In South Sudan Worry Me by rapistomenka(op): 5:31pm On Nov 28, 2016
ABUJA-President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he was disappointed by the disturbing political developments in South Sudan which had lingered due to the non implementation of peace accord signed by the leaders. The President however assured that the Federal Government of Nigeria would remain steadfast in following up to ensure that the country would regain stability.

Receiving the Letter of Credence of the Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan, Mr. Paul Malong Akaro, at the State House, Abuja on Monday, President Buhari said delay in implementing the peace accord had affected the development of the country in spite of the lofty potentials for growth. “I was a little disappointed with the subsequent developments in your country. I was hoping that we can move forward and develop the great potentials of your country after the peace accord.

“The African Union will continue to hold your leaders to account in implementing the peace process. And the leaders should be able to accommodate one another for the good of your people,’’ the President said. President Buhari told the ambassador that the peace process would be most effective when accepted and implemented by leaders from within the country, without external interventions. The President, who also received the Letter of Credence of the Ambassador of Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mr. Malainine Sadik-Bachir, said Nigeria would continue to support the country as it strove to realize its goals of development.

“You can be assured that Nigeria will remain steadfast in her support for Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic. We will continue to do our best for you,” he said. In his remarks, the South Sudan ambassador, Mr. Akaro said the government of national unity in South Sudan was still committed to the peace process in the country. “We know that the only way we can achieve stability and development is to implement the peace process. We are grateful for your support,’’ he said.

I find it confusing when these kids keep saying "Buhari should dialogue with blaablabla". What dialogue hasnt been beld with these criminals or the "elders" from the region? Or perhaps, their own definition of dialogue means mr President should crawl on his belly down to the creeks and give the terrorists a Mouth Action just to massage their ego?

They should blow up everything in sight in the region if that cures their headache jor. Yet to see how thats gonna deplete any big man's salary. Na their mothers and fathers go suffer am.

And the same nonentities who celebrate these acts of terrorism would be the ones gnashing their teeths over the state of the economy tomorrow.

Keep bombing boys. You are doing an awesome job! smiley
Enough of the rhetoric mr man.

Buhari knows the right thing to do to appease Niger Delta region but he chosed the part of arrogance, pomposity and intimidation which has never worked for any govt. What stops him announcing a deliberate master plan to develope Niger Delta the same way they did to Abuja, turn them into oil city status like Texas and see if the people of the region will not be happy and if Avangers will not embrace peace.

THE Akuma Strike Force Team of The Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGJM) may have resumed its bombing of oil facilities in Delta State with its claim that at about 0400hour Monday, November 27 2016, it brought down the 42 inch delivery line operated by NPDC/ND WESTERN in Otu-Jeremi. According to a release signed by the militant group’s spokesperson, General Aldo Agbalaja, the latest bombing was to register their presence as far as the crisis in the Niger Delta region is concerned.

“In the last few weeks we have been silent and observing. The period of silence was definitely not of inactivity; as a matter of fact, it was rather a strategy session, the fruits of which shall start showing up in the coming days. However, to register our presence and jolt those probably slipping into delusion back to reality,” the group said in a release it issued to announce the havoc it has wreaked on the pipelines. “The Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate has also observed the calculated psychological attack recently initiated by the Nigerian security forces against our people, believing that by pursuing and arresting our people the struggle will be defeated and our resolve would be quelled. This will not work because what motivates us is stronger than the Nigerian kind of patriotism.

Once again, we proclaim that we shall fight till the last man alive. NDGJM also said that its high command has also noticed that some people it described as “impostors have now started a move to hoodwink the federal government into believing that they have what it takes to end this campaign that we have sworn to stay committed to. These conmen, grandstanding and parading themselves as the ‘lords of Warri’, have forgotten that this campaign goes well beyond their purview or grasp.”

It, therefore, urged the federal government to be wary of who they give attention to “in the desperation to get the oil from our soil to flow unhindered. Be wary of these political jobbers, whose stock in trade has always been using the struggle to profiteer. We have severally indicated how to end this and definitely not through political jobbers and conflict merchants. If and when we have reasons to trust anybody to hold discussions with, we shall through this same medium, announce the process and the persons. This is a warning for the wise.”

Nigeria's security forces have killed more than 150 peaceful protesters since August 2015, a human rights group has claimed.
Amnesty International said the country's military used live ammunition and deadly force against pro-Biafra protesters who were campaigning for independence from Nigeria.

Nigeria's police denies allegations that it used unnecessary force.
The country's army said Amnesty was trying to tarnish its reputation.
Amnesty's report is based on interviews with almost 200 people, alongside more than 100 photographs and 87 videos.
Among the allegations contained in the report are what Amnesty called "extrajudicial executions", when 60 people were shot and killed in Onitsha, in the two days surrounding Biafra Remembrance Day in May 2016.

"This reckless and trigger-happy approach to crowd control has caused at least 150 deaths, and we fear the actual total might be far higher" said Makmid Kamara, Amnesty's interim director for Nigeria.
Other victims detailed in the report include a 26-year-old man who was shot in Nkpor, but hid in a gutter, still alive. He said when soldiers found him, they poured acid over him, and told him he would die slowly.

Another woman said she had been speaking to her husband on a mobile phone when he told her he had been shot in the abdomen. He was calling from a military vehicle, she said, and she heard gunshots. She later found his body in a morgue with two more wounds in his chest, leading her to believe he had been executed after the call.
The human rights organisation said pro-Biafra protests had been "largely peaceful" despite occasional incidents of protesters throwing stones and burning tyres - and one occasion when someone shot at police.
"Regardless, these acts of violence and disorder did not justify the level of force used against the whole assembly."
But army spokesman Sani Usman that "the military and other security agencies exercised maximum restraints despite the flurry of provocative and unjustifiable violence".
A Biafran state
In the past year there has been a series of protests by supporters of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
The movement wants to create an independent state - Biafra - in south-eastern Nigeria, home to the Igbo people.

PoliticsBoko Haram Burns Down Chibok Village by rapistomenka(op): 1:22pm On Nov 23, 2016
Boko Haram terrorists has completely burnt down houses and looted foodstuffs with hundreds of people displaced in last weekend attack of Thlaimaklama village in Chibok Local government area of Borno state.

Caretaker Chairman of Chibok Local Government Area of Borno state, Mr Yaga Yarkawa, has lamented on the renewed attacks perpetrated by Boko haram terrorists, insisting that with recent attacks on Thlaimaklama village over the weekend which has forced hundreds of people displaced after burning down houses and looting of foodstuff and livestock, Chibok is now under Boko Haram siege.

Mr Yaga Yarkawa disclosed this to Journalist on Monday night in Maiduguri where he had come to receive food items donated by the State Government for onward delivery to the displaced people.

He said, contrary to claims by the military that Chibok is safe, there has been series of renewed attacks on communities of Kuburmbula, Tsilari, Kamdzilari, Kuburnvwu , Kautikari, Kwada, Buftari and Kakulmari villages bordering Damboa and Sambia forest, adding that the latest one was the one that took place at the weekend in Thlaimaklama village where the insurgents carted away with 15 vehicles loaded with food items, after setting ablaze three vehicles and several number of houses without confrontation.

He pointed out that apart from attacking his communities this days, the terrorists have resorted to burning of farm produce of his people who had suffered during the season, and now eager waiting for harvest.
On effort put in place by the council to address the recurrent attacks, Yarakawa said: “due to exploits of the insurgents, Kuburmbula, Tsilari, Kamdzilari, Kuburnvwu , Kautikari, Kwada, Buftari and Kakulmari villages bordering Damboa and Sambia forest, and Klaimakla communities which are still fully under the control of terrorists, the council formed vigilantee to keep watch even as we call for more military presence in the areas mentioned.”

Also speaking on the renewed attacks on Chibok, leader of vigilantee group in Chibok, Commander Aboku said that “the boko haram terrorists are always on the move and this makes it difficult to effectively monitor and apprehend them with ease.”
Aboku added that, just last week in the course of their operations, the vigilantees were able to dislodge some of the terrorists, killing two with recovery of two AK47 rifles and a Hilux vehicles mounted with anti aircraft gun.

He called on the Military to intensify more effort by giving the vigilantes free hands to operate, as they know the terrain of the Sambisa forest and the general operation area of Sambisa, Chibok and Gwoza local governments better.
