But to repel militants they began dishing out excuses |

An army officer, who did not want to be named, confirmed the incident. “We heard the shots in the middle of the night, but as you know, we do not patrol the area at night, so there was nothing we could do,” he said. What this means is that the Nigeria Army cannot dare into the creeks at Night as they have revealed. Buratai and his men are not nocturnal rodents anyway |

Nigerian militants on Tuesday bombed a state-run oil pipeline near the southern port city of Warri, the second attack within a week, a community leader and army officer said. “The line which was undergoing repair after the previous attack … was billed for commissioning either today or tomorrow,” before the latest attack, chairman of Batan community Dickson Ogugu told AFP.
He said four surveillance guards deployed to protect the Trans Forcados export line narrowly escaped death after the militants opened fire on them. “The hoodlums after chasing them from the spot came down from their speedboat, planted dynamite on swamp boogie, barge, crane and on the line,” he said. “Unfortunately, only the dynamite on the barge exploded and immediately sank into the water. As I speak to you, the military are at the scene of the incident trying to dismantle the other dynamites.”
An army officer, who did not want to be named, confirmed the incident. “We heard the shots in the middle of the night, but as you know, we do not patrol the area at night, so there was nothing we could do,” he said. The line has been previously targeted by rebels. Last week, the line was bombed just hours after President Muhammadu Buhari met with representatives of militant groups in the Niger delta to discuss how to end the unrest wracking the region. The state-owned Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) operates the pipeline which receives crude from the Batan flowstation and feeds the Forcados export terminal.
Since the start of the year, several militant groups have attacked oil facilities, slashing the nation’s output and hammering revenues. The militants claim to be seeking a fair share of the nation’s oil wealth for local residents as well as political autonomy for the region. The government has launched peace talks with the rebels to end the violence. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/11/militants-bomb-oil-pipeline/

gists: Na wa o. So even in 2016, we still have people trying to justify GEJ buffoness. Of course he bought weapons. The question when? How many years have passed and how many lives were lost before he suddenly realised election was coming and he needed to show that he fought BH.
I know people with short memory will criticise me that I am making it up. But to refresh your memory, here is the story as at December 12 2014: Ask the West why they refused to sell weapons to Jonathan..... According to Dasuki: “All these were acquired in the last one year after years of frustration by Western powers who denied us of the equipment and sabotage our efforts to acquire same from other sources which are reasons for some delay in delivery.” |

I know people with short memory will criticise me that I am making it up. But to refresh your memory, here is the story as at December 12 2014: Zombie read this. In April 2012, Nigeria signed a contract with China to build two P18N OPVs. Under the contract, the lead ship was to be built in Wuhan with construction starting in October 2012, while the second unit is expected to be partially built in Nigeria. P18N Offshore Patrol Vessels have a displacement 1,800, a length of 95 m, width of 12.2 m and beam of 3.5 m. It is powered by two MTU 20V 4000M diesel engines. The maximum speed is 21 knots. The endurance of the vessel is 20 days at sea for a crew of 70 sailors. These OPVs are fitted with a H/PJ26 76mm main gun mount and two H/PJ14 30mm gun mounts. The class may accomodate a Z- 9 helicopter thanks to its helipad and hangar at the stern. |

These weapons include two stealth ships. One, NNS Centenary is currently serving the Nigerian navy and the second NNS Unity is now on its way to Nigeria.
There are also several helicopter orders from Russia that are yet to be finished, as soon as the construction is over, they will be delivered.
Other high tech stuff GEJ bought included armed drones which were used to hit boko haram, making Nigeria one of the first countries to employ drones in combat.
GEJ's agreement was that our second stealth ship (NNS Unity) would be partly built in Nigeria, but I doubt that will happen now that we have an unwashed mumu without CERTIFICATE in power. |
