The government of the day under estimated the strength & capability of Tompolo when it comes to maritime security in West Africa. More confession will be coming from government in the when acknowledge her mistakes One chance government ![]() |
Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, has said the seizure of about 20 security patrol vessels belonging to Global West Specialist Vessels Limited (a company purportedly owned by Government Epkemupolo aka Tompolo) by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has negatively affected the enforcement of the nation’s Coastal and Inland Shipping and Coastal Act otherwise known as the Cabotage law. The Director General, DG, of NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, who disclosed this, however said the seizure was due to the ongoing investigation of the immediate past management of the agency. Dakuku Peterside Peterside, who spoke in Lagos, lamented that the absence of platforms to enable the enforcement of the major impediment to Cabotage enforcement, saying though the platforms were in the custody of the Nigerian Navy pending the conclusion of EFCC investigations, the vessels were still NIMASA’s assets. He said: “The most important thing affecting Cabotage enforcement is not capacity of personnel, but the absence of platforms for enforcement. The platforms were seized by the EFCC and they are in the custody of the Nigerian Navy. These are NIMASA’s assets but they are under investigation so they were seized by the EFCC and handed over to the Navy, pending the conclusion of investigations.” Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/11/seizure-tompolos-20-patrol-vessels-affecting-cabotage-law-negatively-nimasa/ |

“The agreements are: Payments of staff entitlements since December 2015, funding of universities for revitalisation, pension, TSA and university autonomy and renegotiation of 2009 Agreement. This shows that after the strike in 2013, agreements were reached and met. Their demands are for December 2015 entitlements. Since Buhari took over. The Federal Government on Tuesday in Abuja asked the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to rescind its decision to embark on a one week warning strike from Nov. 16. noting that it is unconstitutional owing to the prevailing circumstances. It said, as its employer, the federal government is equally yet to receive any petition from the academic body on their claimed nationwide consultations with it. Sen. Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment who gave the statement urged ASUU to shelve the strike to make room to address contending issues. Ngige via a statement issued by Mr Samuel Olowokere, Deputy Director of Press in the Ministry, said shelving the strike would ensure wider consultation. “The claims of nationwide consultations by ASUU cannot be true as the Ministry of Labour and Employment which is the chief conciliator of industrial relations disputes is yet to receive a direct petition from ASUU. “This is against the Federal Government who is the jurisdictional employer, ‘’ he said. Dr Chris Ngige He emphasised the need for a proper re-negotiation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement which ASUU reached with the previous administration through a clear channel of social dialogue. He said channel of dialogue would consist of the immediate employer, the Ministry of Education, and the Labour Ministry. Ngige explained that in view of the prevailing circumstances, the issuance of warning strike by union was unconstitutional. “ The body is yet to exhaust the conflict resolution mechanisms clearly mapped out in the labour laws, ‘’he added. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Monday said it would embark on a week warning strike over failure by the Federal Government to implement the 2009 Agreement and 2013 MoU. ASUU National President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi said Many aspects of the 2013 MoU and the 2009 Agreement with the Federal Government were either been unimplemented or despairingly handled. “The agreements are: Payments of staff entitlements since December 2015, funding of universities for revitalisation, pension, TSA and university autonomy and renegotiation of 2009 Agreement. “Failure by the Federal Government to implement this agreement has put ASUU leadership in severe difficulty, responding to inquiries from members of the union about the state of our agreement,’’ he said. YENAGOA-THE Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, announced on Tuesday that it blew up the Nembe 1, 2 and 3 trunk line jointly operated by Agip, Oando and Shell Petroleum Development Company, affecting a supply of 300,000 barrels per day to Bonny Export Terminal in Bayelsa State. Spokesperson of the militant group, self-styled Brig Gen Mudoch Agbinibo in an electronic mail, Tuesday, asserted: “ At about 11.45pmNovember 15, 2016, our elite Strike Team 03 struck Nembe 1, 2 and 3 truck line operated by Agip, Oando and Shell with supply capacity of 300,000 barrel per day to Bonny export terminal in Bayelsa State.” “This is in response to the so-called “Operations Sharkbite,” an art of terrorism commissioned by the tyranny of the Nigerian Navy establishment and orchestrated by some elements of the ruling political class to continuously undermine any effort by the Nigerian state to addressing the legitimate demands of the people of the Niger Delta and as well a conspiracy to bloat the accounts of some security contractors and conflict merchants within the party structure of the APC. “We are only reiterating our strong resolve that, time is running against the Nigerian government, that there is doom ahead. The Nigerian government needs our cooperation more than we need the government as it concerns the extraction of the crude oil and hydrocarbon resources in our God-given land,” it said. NDA asserted: “We are determined to continue this war by all means necessary, until that environment prevails for a genuine dialogue and negotiations within the framework of the 16- point key demands presented to President Muhammadu Buhari by PANDEF on the 1st of November 2016.” The group restated: “We want the peace with honour, we do not want the ‘peace of our time’. Since that moment military was drafted into the Niger Delta as an instrument of suppression to our fatherland against all peaceful protest and legitimate demands, the fear had gone. The message is getting stronger with more messengers,” the group added. Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/11/breaking-avengers-hit-nembe-1-2-3-trunk-line-bayelsa/ |

Don't be surprised if next, we have someone lighting firewood on a plane to make suya and kulikuli, or to fry akara. What do you expect when 182 million Nigerians have as their "leader", a CERTIFICATELESS retard who walks like a cow, thinks like a cow, acts like a cow, smells like a cow and IS A COW? No country that has any iota of seriousness about its future would find itself in Nigeria's present position. My people, where are we going? |
Tragedy was averted, yesterday, when a fully-loaded plane of Air Peace had to abort landing at Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri, when the pilot discovered that the runway had been invaded by cows. Cows A passenger aboard the flight, Mr. Richard Akinnola, who narrated the incident to Vanguard, said the pilot was forced to hover around the airport until the runway was cleared by the airport security.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/11/plane-aborts-landing-cows-take-owerri-airport-runway/

When Lauretta Onochie was appointed as one of Buhari's special assistant on social media, many thought that being active and outspoken on social media she will do a CLEAN UP of Buhari's dented images. She gave her employer and supporters a high hope when she in a cacophonous manner, announced her arrival by pouncing on then PDP director on new media Deji Adeyanju. She didn't stop at the vituperative on Adeyanju but went further to boastfully say : TOES, BIG FAT TOES, WILL BE STEPPED ON BY BUHARI AND HEAVENS WILL NOT FALL http://www.trezzyhelm.com/2016/10/toes-big-fat-toes-will-be-stepped-on.html Some greenhorns and blind supporters of the genocidal and directionless government of Buhari misconstrued her outburst to be a sign of competence and good omen for the government of Buhari. But those in the system could deduce from her unprofessional puerile and diatribe that its just the usual urge to impress the employers. It is now an established fact that the latest aide to the president was basking in the euphoria of securing a job in this Buhari-induced recession where hunger and starvation reign supreme when she dished out those unguarded statements. I came to such conclusion the moment her voice began to wane and her presence sliding into oblivion. We all expected her expertise to come into play following the recent political happenings but alas the newest recruit went AWOL thus leaving her employer at the mercy of the world. First it was Aisha Buhari that fired the shot on Buhari when she granted an interview to BBC Hausa condemning the actions of her husband and threatening to withdraw her support for the president come next election. One would have expected Mrs Onochie to mount the podium and probably educate Mrs Buhari Buhari and the rest of Nigerians who may be sharing same view with the president's wife on the directions of her employer. We all expected her to consolidate on the impression of an attack dog and the image of a slayer that accompanied her arrival when she descended on her employer's critics. Again Buhari went to Germany and embarrassed himself after saying to the world that her wife belongs to the kitchen and bedroom. I personally up to his latest recruit to clarify to the understanding of Nigerians what her employer actually meant but again, she went AWOL thus making the president an object of ridicule before the world. So I ask, where is Mrs Lauretta Onochie?? Has she suddenly realized her job is a daunting task?? I am going to be brief here but my point is.... initial gragra and excitements of a new job should not make you go overboard and start looking down on everybody. Thank you |
