I know things are hard and almost everyone is feeling the heat

But I'll be never e understand the need for creating this kinda thread as I've seen 100000 of this in the last two weeks

We can't pray for you
We can't pay for you
We've always complained about it

What do we do about this now
I would like you to read the Social Contract theory by Thomas Hobbes. Only then can you understand the essence of government and the reason for the existence of a government.
FoodThe Plate Of Food I Bought For N1500 Was N400 A Year Ago (Photo) by Rapmoney(op): 1:41pm On Jun 22, 2024
There is this local restaurant I used to eat any time I visit Warri. Omo, na so I enter Mama Teguolo restaurant say make I chop. The food I bought (based on low budget) cost N1500. This is the same food I used to buy by this time last year for N400. The inflation rate in Nigeria is really terrible.

For those people who like screaming, 'Plant your own food, plant your own food', I guess we should also rear our own cattle, goats, sheep, ram, chickens, etc and also refine our own crude oil, manufacture our own cars all in our backyard. We should also look for ways to generate our own electricity individually because the electricity that is given to us is costly.

It is shameful that there are Nigerian youths who still give excuses on behalf of the government. Sometimes, I wonder the essence of education to the Nigerian youth when they make cases for people whose corrupt practices have destroyed the economy and social life of the citizens.

Music/RadioRe: 'Burna Boy Didn't Create Nor Popularized Afrofusion' - Motolani Alake by Rapmoney(op): 8:49pm On Jun 01, 2024

Music is music

Why we always create divisions and labels
But music has genres.
Music/Radio'Burna Boy Didn't Create Nor Popularized Afrofusion' - Motolani Alake by Rapmoney(op): 8:38pm On Jun 01, 2024
A Nigerian music executive, Motolani Alake, has clarified that contrary to popular belief, Burna Boy did not create the sound known as Afro fusion.

Alake pointed out that veterans like Lagbaja and Black Magic were already using the term Afro-fusion to describe their music long before Burna Boy entered the scene.

Burna Boy, known for hits like “Last Last,” has frequently stated that his music style is called Afro-fusion, in a bid to distinguish it from Afrobeats.

In an interview on the Million Dollar Worth of Game podcast, aired on Sunday, Burna Boy emphasised that African music genres should not all be labelled as Afrobeats, pointing out the diverse sounds across the continent.

He argued that such generalisation is unfair to African artists.

However, Alake’s intervention on the matter has now stirred discussions in the music community.

He stated, “Burna Boy didn’t create Afro fusion and I don’t think he popularised the word. Lagbaja in the late 90s & Black Magic called their sound Afro Fusion before Burna Boy.”

AgricultureThe Dong Tao Chicken Aka Dragon Chicken: One Of World Most Expensive Chickens by Rapmoney(op): 8:27pm On May 31, 2024

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S58LJgwVqs&pp=ygUQRG9uZyB0YW8gY2hpY2tlbg%3D%3D

Known for their strangely large feet, Dong Tao chicken has for generations been a delicacy in Vietnam and mostly consumed during the Lunar New Year holiday.)

The rare breed of poultry, also known as dragon chicken, feature a pair of scaly red feet as large as a beer can, originates from Dong Tao, a village 30 kms (18 miles) southeast of Hanoi.

Dong Tao chicken, weighing up to 6 kg (13 pounds) each when fully grown and once reserved only for the royals, are believed to bring good fortune and wealth to their owners.

Today, demand for Dong Tao chicken, whose meat has a crunchy texture, a distinct fragrant aroma and a rich flavour, has risen sharply, backed by a growing number of wealthy people in one of Asia's fastest-growing economies.

"A fully grown dragon chicken of at least one year old farmed in Dong Tao village is sold for up to 5 million dong ($205.38) or sometimes even 10 million dong," said Le Trong Dung, a chicken farmer in the village.

Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, a local chicken farmer, said the most valuable parts of the chicken are its legs, as she held a two-year-old rooster in her hands.

Loc Duc Toan, a 25-year-old chef in Hanoi, said a Dong Tao chicken has its best taste at the age of 13 to 15 months, adding that steaming is one of the best ways to cook it.

"When steamed, the skin will be crispy with a fragrant aroma of its own and a sweeter meat compared to other normal chicken," Toan said.

The chickens are now also raised beyond the village, offering a chance for a wider range of consumers, but according to local agriculture official Phan Van Hieu, those raised in the village and fed purely with paddy rice and corn have the best taste.

"Production hasn't met domestic demand yet," Hieu said. "I'm sure you won't find any Dong Tao chicken in any KFC restaurants in foreseeable future."

PoliticsThe Final Burial Of Nigeria's National Anthem In South-East Nigeria by Rapmoney(op): 4:01pm On May 29, 2024
This article has been written based on thorough observation of political events in southeastern region of Nigeria. The article is not written to take 'ought to' into consideration but written to take care of 'what is' because the point of view of the writer is strictly based on realities on ground.

The federal government of Nigeria, today being the 29th day of May, 2024 passed a bill into law for the change of the country's national anthem. The law brought back the old national anthem which will now be in use henceforth. Whatever the real motive of the government is for reverting to the old national anthem is not known to me and so many other Nigerians.

In recent times, I have paid business visits to the eastern states of Anambra, Enugu, Imo and Abia (only Ebonyi State I have not visited). I noticed that schools in the east, both public and private don't recite the national anthem anymore. Most of the pupils/students don't even remember the beginning line again talk less of the lines that make up the anthem. It has been like this for almost 3 years.

Now, with the adoption of the old national anthem which is alien to those young people, it appears like Manchester United signing Victor Ikpeba as a striker next season. I mean, students and pupils were already struggling to come to terms with the one they have been accustomed to and here, they have something else they didn't grow up to hear to learn.

It is almost impossible for pupils and students from both public and private schools in southeastern Nigeria to learn this adopted anthem. I think with this, there could be a natural death and burial of Nigeria's national anthem in the southeastern region of Nigeria.

FoodRe: Can You Buy This 20k Bread In This Present Economy? by Rapmoney(op): 7:50pm On May 27, 2024
onlinestaff247:
Hey,

N20,000 for ordinary bread irrespective of the brand is way too high.

Do you know that bread is just like an appetizer for men? As for me, once I eat bread, it would seem I've not eaten anything yet...That's why I prefer swallow with nice soup filled with condiments.

I believe it's only women and children that loves bread.

That cash is enough to buy like N3000 food in a fast food, N2000 for two bottles of chilled beer, N2000 for short time with a babe, N2000 for data subscription, N4000 for transport fare for the week and the remaining cash to make soup with garri for the week.

Buying a loaf of bread for N20k is just to impress people but your budget and pocket go hear am.

Cheers!
True talk. I don't joke with swallow
