nazzyon:Bedrock what ?? |
bankymi:@ bankymi,wanaj0 thanks for your very insightful contributions on this thread,I now have added reason to butress the fact that my buying ACCESS in the P.O was a good move, plus the fact that the stocks I’m targeting(of which PHB is one of the pack) will be good buys. @ roughcut,ACCESS doubts or not(like I said in the last thread, you’ve made so much money from the stock),thanx for your initial position that brought out those wonderful contributions from wanajo and bankymi.Thanx again for standing corrected,am proud of all of you guys.Keep it up |
teemon:Hmmm, sounds interesting instantly.Thank God you said you were (are) too christian not to be straight. But with what has been happening in Lagos nay Nigeria, even under the guise of christian/moslem/juju brotherhood, you wouldn't blame any cautious (not sceptical, mind you),fellows like me,if we dont receive this info with the kinda enthusiasm you may have envisaged. Will get in touch with you though cos like I said,it sounds interesting. ![]() |
aktopgun:I think it's a bit late to jump on the ACCESS bank bandwagon now. Those that bought some years ago have gained over 1000%(reconstruction or no reconstruction),even those that bought during the last P.O can still sell @ over 30% profit when the stock attains its early 20s(which is the price I don't expect it to be less than by the time the certificates are out). On the other hand, towing the line of Roughcut, you may wish to buy either/or both of Wema and bank PHB,when they hit the market with their P.Os.Personally,I've got Costain(rights issue) and PHB(P.O)locked and within my firing range, finger on the trigger |
pumping777:Yep,it didn't really rally, but for a bank that has very strong corporate governance, not too bad financial strength and a growth projection of over 20% within 12 months, added to regular bonus issue and reasonably regular dividend payment,I think Union bank is good, especially in the long term |
Much as I appreciate the need for our banks to raise as much funds as possible from the capital market in order to be able to finance more high ticket projects especially in the oil and gas and telecoms sectors,I don't think Zenith bank's current move to come to the market will be attractive to new entrants into their stock family, maybe existing shareholders who may want to take advantage of the rights issue |
@ Rough cut, [, On Japual oil you may want to take advantage of the discount being offered and it's profitable according to the prospectus but i don't think you will realise any appreciable returns in less than a year's time but then if you are new to investing in the stock market your time horizon should not be less than 12 months ] I beg to disagree with you that those that bought Japaul p.o will have to wait for up to 12 months before they can realise any appreciable returns. Are you saying it will take 12 months before the share certificates are released? I believe the certificates will be sent in less than 6 months, and when the TS is lifted, anybody that sells by then @ N6.02k even before the expected bull run will still clean out over 34% profit. On the other hand, thanx for all your insightful contributions on this thread |
@Olumighty, Congratulations, and thank God for you.I'm a Cell Site Build contractor n av submitted my profile wit Multilinks/Telkom,confident of becoming one of their contractors because I have strong faith in Telkom and what they intend to do with the cash injection expected over the next five years. If you are in any department that I may come across you in due time,or you if just want to,then email me @ engineerdon@engineer.com.You never know |
[Nice one, Nice one! They caught me off-guard. Only N150B over 4B new shares? After the shareholders approved 5B new shares? 5 divided by 4 is 125%. They already made provision for the 25% oversubscription they are allowed to absorb without wahala. They are indeed the masters!] When is Zenith's P.O coming out |
I think the afribank P.O @ 25 bucks is too expensive. Are my wrong?how good are their fundamentals?answers needed ASAP pls |
[I told my friends about COSTAIN since Aug esp folks no wan listen, and thought I was crazy for it taking 50% of my portfolio and straight mad when I started aiming for 75%. I will buy at the N10 price for rights offer, but even the N13 is awesome for those interested. I will also be selling during the bullish run post release of the cap I knew in Aug/sep speculation was that this would happen in Nov, but then wasnt sure if they'd wait till Dec ] Just let me know when the P.O is out |

Hi Guys, took a look @ oceanic bank's results and it looks attractive.D'you guys see it hitting 45 naira in three months time?Again I'll like to know if vitafoam is fertile ground |
@ cynthia 75 Thanks, you hit a bull's eye there.Matter of fact am on EVDO,but cos I travel round the country most times ,I'll get a GPRS enabled internet access just in case, but I sure wont go for anything costlier than EVDO |
[My dear you started by chastising me and ended up agreeing with me. If these touts carry out their threats it may become my business and a whole lot more. I am Nigerian,I have relatives in Lagos. Any disaster in Nigeria will affect me and mine. I may live outside of Nigeria but Nigeria is my home and I visit often. Like Alqueda, they haven't given a day for the attack so we don't only need panadol for this headache but Fentanyl, morphine and percocet,] @Nwando My bad.I apologise, didn't mean to lump you with Whackos like jujukemist and Willy Willy,T'was a "slip of the keyboard".Hw you doing girl?? ![]() |
Mmmmm,FCMB and Fidelity are not really freaking me now,I now av 'em in my plan B to-do list,am going after some pennies like African paints and C & I leasing ![]() |
Juju and willy Forget about any disaster, you talked like one completely ignorant(WHICH YOU ARE) of the politics of the ND,these guys are thieving COWARDS.It's only a fool or one of them that will call them freedom fighters. They are just common criminals, extorting money from legitimate business people because they are armed.I know how much I paid(grudginly)to these bastards to release my barge last year, which they hijacked, they said they only reduced the money because we spoke the same language.Yet some IGNORAMUSES will come to this portal and be writing rubbish about emancipation of niger delta calling those criminals freedom fighters.Whose freedom are they fighting for, when they are the very one depriving people of freedom. Well sha,na so our so called elders first dey shook hand for we eyes, till their cup full, per this criminals for we place so ehh, their cup go soon full,no matter what all the IGNORANT people say in approval of their criminality here on this portal. But make we dey use our tongue count our teeth. About the deve, that one na mai mai,e full everywhere. |

Jujukemist, willy wilyou guys are just myopic you're you're allowing ethnic sentiments 2 becloud your sense of good judgement & reasoning. From hindsight,I can tell the troika of u guys are not even from d main ND,so abeg make una no dey gwens panadol 4 another man headache. No doubt,I'm frm the ND,but to call a spade a spade,na we leaders (elders)first dey shene us give all them shell, chevron, agip etc in those days, but when our eyes open in the late 80s,na him youths come dey hold ground say any elder/leader wey do anyhow go must see anyhow,so many many gbege come dey that time,as a result pipeline burst for all these guys wey come dey answer militant now.Admitted we had genuine agitators in times of yore like Isaac Adaka Boro and Ken Saro Wiwa, but tell me all the crude wey these guys dey thief dey go fling give those russian buyers for sea plus the plenty plenty bank robbery and ransom wey them dey collect frm hostages, which widow or poor family for ND them don use am help?Instead na to go buy more arms and barges 4 their selfish/criminal interest be their levels. Tiff na tiff, terrorist na terrorist, bobs live oo,which eye una take dey look d mata sef,if those idiots make fem outside d creek(which I know dey can't do because they are cowards that only strike when it is convenient and run back to the creeks),, for them. Accepted, there has been a sonscious neglect of the ND as a whole for years now and VERY URGENT and massive developmental projects should be earmarked for the area. But in the last 8 years, the fed govt tried to make an impact by apying derivation funds to the ND states. We must ask ourselves what happened to the billions collected by Ibori and Odili as derivation fund for 8 years.Where did Odili get funds to float an airline?where did Ibori get funds to build a refinary in SA? The only thing I saw in my state was that Ibori just painted all the primary schools in then state in one colour. We all know how much he donated to the yar adua campaign purse(obviously to attempt to make the president call off EFCC from his case ).Presetly Delta state has a debt portfolio of 45 billion naira, even with all the allocations Ibori collected for 8 good years.Sowho is marginalising who? NDDC is there,Yar adua has promised to pump in funds to actualise the ND dev planMe I know say anyhow anyhow, ogoro must jump because goodluck dey there wit am.So make we forget about this guys wey their eye don tear for big pepper(what withall the bunkering runs?)and who have no body'snterest @ heart but the interest of their bank accounts. I for no write this long piece, but na because I no want make una dey yarn opata take dey deceive people. |

I had wanted 2 buy Fidelity shares but my stockbroker said he preferred FCMB that they had better fundamentals. As a result I'm thinking of spliting the funds 50-50 btw FCMB and Fidelity cos I think Fidelity is good too. What say you nairalanders ![]() ?? |

MEND is just an acronym that that ha sconferred undue relevance to criminals.Let,s call a spade a spade, those guys are just common criminals pure and simple,in whose interest are they "agitating"?Iam from the Niger Delta,I have projects there too so I know what I'm talking about. From the hundreds of millions they have made from stealing and selling crude oil to their russian buyers(illegal bunkering)and,as some have alleged, bank robberies, pray tell, which poor Niger Delta family or widow or orphan have they assisted in any way??From where I stand,I know the criminals will not do it,there is far too little pecuniary benefit for them in such foolhardiness |
