Symphony007: I've never been among those nigerians bashing ghana and i never will but this is just highly disrespectfull...it just shows what a waste of time ecowas is! That organisation has in no way helped us because no single country in this organisation is rich or productive enough for us to sign trade deals with so let's just abandon the rubbish, stop the west african gas pipeline which we send to the ghanians and other ecowas nations use to generate power, we should redirect it back to our national grid.

sign trade deals with developing countries who share our population potentials, countries like mexico, brazil, india, china, etc. Ecowas has never helped this country in anyway so if the only usefull advantage of our membership which is our citizens can trade and move freely in member states is facing trash like this, then we have no interest being members of this parasitic organisation!!
Have you asked yourself if the place they started selling was a market? So because of ECOWAS, everyone should be allowed to start market at any part of the country? I was laughing when the guy said he contemplated starting another market in a 'village' grin

Ghana is a well-planned country and you just don't start market anywhere in the name of ECOWAS!
Foreign AffairsRe: Ghana Closes 40 Nigerians’ Shops by rastamouse: 1:55pm On Feb 14, 2013
I don't know how some people reason here. I smh at some of the comments. I doubt if most of you guys here even read the story well. The guys are claiming that the place was empty when they started selling at the place.

Now tell me...can anyone of you go to the United States and start selling at any place at all because the place is empty?

The way some people reason undecided

Hahahahahaha

Ghana lost a match here and the whole of NL is like a big party cheesy . I SMH.

But sorry guys...Nigeria cannot reach Ghana's pedigree in football. At all levels in male football, Ghana has been better than Nigeria and no one ever said Ghana will win every day.

By the way you guys need to go to bed early because Burkina Faso has a great surprise for your Super Chickens Inconsistents cheesy

Very great game from the Nigerians against the Ivoriens. That was a very difficult game and like someone said, they played 150% beyond themselves. If Nigeria continue to play like this and stay disciplined, I think Mali will not be a problem.

However if they play the rubbish that they played in the group games, they will be playing for the 3rd place as usual wink
IslamRe: An Atheist's Letter To Nigerian Muslims (El Rufai's Tweet Didnt Result In Riots) by rastamouse: 11:42am On Jan 30, 2013
Hey Logicboy...its been quite a while and I am glad that it was rather 'you' and not any of 'us' who brought this topic up. I know many people will be wondering what I mean by 'you' and 'us'...

There is so much division in this world and I think unless those are addressed, this world will never have any tangible peace. Contrary to what some people love to always say, RELIGION IS NOT AND HAS NEVER BEEN THE ONLY PROBLEM. Rather it is mankind's desire to have his way, no matter what the consequence, that has caused all the problems that we have today.

Whenever I read the usual hate-filled posts of Ghanaians vs Nigerians and vice versa on this forum, part of me laugh and the other part wonder if majority of us think better than animals do. In the animal kingdom, it is always 'us' against 'them'. There are certainly no middle grounds. An enemy is always an enemy. A cat will hardly appreciate anything that a mouse does. That is very much understandable of animals. Should the same be true for mankind?

Why would a 12-year-old arab call a jew his enemy or a Christian brand every Muslim a terrorist? Why should you blindly hate someone because your father did? The funny thing is that we find a way to always divide ourselves with things that may not be necessary. Politics, tribalism, race, class, football, religion, school, type of car, language we speak, currency we use etc etc. In all these madness, we have forgotten the most important thing that unites us- man made in the image of GOD! Is this not ridiculous?

Why should we always find an excuse to kill ourselves?

Christianity EtcRe: Have You Prayed For Nigeria Today? by rastamouse: 7:48am On Jan 25, 2013
pgiddy: We often complain abt dis country and about bad leadership,it is a common trend in nairaland to always rain abuses and curses on our leaders for their actions and inactions, which has made mosst of us lose hope in this country. But the saddest tin is dat most of us are always swift to rain abuses and curses on this country and slow to pray for this country. We av been abusing n insulting dis leaders 4 a while and still nothing has changed. If we all imbibe the spirit of always praying for dis country anytym we pray 4 ourselves in d morning as christians and muslims b4 going out, and even saying "God bless Nigeria" every morning jez lik d Americans do,den God can do somtin abt dis country. God will surely answer d prayers of 160million pple if we do pray everyday. My take is that"Complain less and Pray more". GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
How true! Thank you

I fear for Nigeria but anything is possible. Nigeria may have to use the West African magic to go through this. Seems pretty difficult especially considering that failing to top the group may mean CIV in the quarters...
