The game of politics is about interest, interest ranges from that of the overall populace, a group of people, individuals etc. A close look at both the ruling APC, the Sheriff factional PDP and that of the victorious Markafi camp clearly point to the interest they all represent- The Political Elite

When you look at both the PDP and APC constitutions, they clearly tilt to favor the political elite in both parties. In fact, it is difficult (if not impossible) for an outsider to emerge candidate through a transparent process without the dictate of political gladiators or godfathers in both parties. These aspirants emerge candidates, win elections and continue to protect the same interest of the elitist group. Hence, the phrase, "All of them are the same".

Before the launch of APDA on June 5, 2017, I was of the opinion that the party is neither a PDP fall-back or a plan B for the Markafi camp, the judgement has clearly given the APDA an opportunity to affirm what they stand for as a party.

The APDA, unlike the APC and PDP, has a constitution that surrenders power to their the people. This is a party whose constitution erode delegate system to entrench direct primary system that will see all members of the party to partake in the election of party leaders, candidates and other elective representative.

The APDA as a party allows for a minimum of 25% elective and appointive slots of members of Youth age (18-35) in all public and party offices. It further state a minimum of 30% for women and 5% for people living with disabilities.

Why then should Nigeria people, youths and women continue to waste their time, resources and votes on the parties (APC, PDP) and factions (Sheriff and Markafi) that only protect the interest of the political elite at the expense of the common man?

I am very happy that PDP crises has settled and PDP political heavyweights will concentrate on their party. I am very happy that the Nigeria electorates will now have the privilege to discern that APDA as a party means business.

One truth we must tell ourselves is that, whether Markafi or Sheriff, PDP is DEAD!!! It has gone 6 feet in the Northwest, it is hopeless in the Northeast, it is the equivalent of Ebola in the Southwest, in the Southeast Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB calls the shot even when PDP controls government (due to the fact that APC is/was no option). In the Southsouth, the governments in power are as incompetent as the government at the center, the story is not different in the Northcentral.

The ruling APC has failed but the only option for Nigeria in 2019 is to embrace a party that they can be active stakeholders in determining candidates for elective positions, so as to have emergence of leaders whose loyalty will be to the Nigeria people not the political elite.

This was you last year, so what happened this year? to even think you are now supporting Markarfi, the man you opposed as against a traitor called Sheriff during the trying times of PDP is the height of inconsistency and political confusion. You are not politically smart.

This is just too tough to handle for APC however, PDP need to do more than this, they need to cause more damage to the already battered image of APC with solid proofs that can be verified and make sure it goes around the world.

If Buhari in his 3rd year is still clueless on how to turn the tides of the economy for the better then it will take a dead soul worst than a zombie to wish this diabolic being to come back in 2019. The Mumu government of Buhari ought to have sealed this deal since 2015 but rather let it lie fallow only to wake up now that election is drawing nearer in order to score some cheap points but now this is too late. I think the strengthening of the Naira aspect and not making Nogeria a dumping ground for unnecessary Chinese goods should be applauded but the big question is, with a weak economy that still consumes more than what it produces and also with a very low output in capital projects I don't see how Nigeria will still not be a dumping ground under this crises-ridden government of mumuhary. A former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has denied visiting a former Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, in prison.
There were news reports (not PREMIUM TIMES) that the ex-vice president was among dignitaries that visited Mr Jang, who is being held in a Plateau prison.
The former governor is being prosecuted for alleged fraud by the EFCC and was ordered to be remanded in prison by the court pending his bail hearing.
In a statement by his office on Monday morning, Mr Abubakar denied visiting Mr Jang in prison.

It has come to our notice that there is a report in a section of the media purporting that His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, visited former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang in Jos Prison.
That report, as it relates to the former Vice President, is in its entirety false and mere fabrication.
For the avoidance of doubt, Atiku Abubakar has been in Yola, Adamawa State since Thursday for the activities of the 10th Commencement Ceremony and Presidential Inauguration of American University of Nigeria, Yola.
The Waziri Adamawa on Thursday attended the Honours Society event of the university.
On Friday, Atiku Abubakar joined the Yola Ummah at the first Juma’at prayer of this year’s Ramadan at the Yola Central Mosque and later graced the Graduation Awards Ceremony of AUN.
On Saturday, Atiku Abubakar attended the 10th graduation ceremony of AUN which was widely reported in the media.
The former Vice President arrived in Yola International Airport in the morning of Thursday, 17th May and still remains in Yola till today.
Therefore, he was not, and could not have been in Jos as being claimed in a section of the media.

A soldier has shot and killed his wife after discovering that two of the children he raised were not his and was fathered by his superior officer. The incident happened at the army barracks were the the deceased wife was having an affair with her husbands boss.
The Zambian soldier identified as Pathias Mwape reportedly heard rumors that two of his children he raised were not his and when he confronted the wife, the wife who is also a police woman broke down in tears confirming that indeed two of the children were not his.
“Rumors have been going on for sometimes, all we know is that the wife was sleeping with one of our bosses. It is believed those two children are for the boss but he raised them to date. He was mad, in the morning after shooting his wife he left looking for the boss. He wanted to shoot him too but fortunate enough, the boss was not home together with his wife and children” a soldier source said.
“When he went for peace keeping some years back, one of our bosses use to go and sleep in there house. Its a well known story. The top bosses know about it and we are waiting to see if the cause of this problem will be punished according to our guiding command procedures “.
An officer at Kabwe Chindwin Barracks has revealed further that military bosses in barracks are fond of sleeping with wives of their juniors. Mwape shot dead his wife using a pistol yesterday after a confrontation. After realizing that Police were looking for him, Mwape also shot himself dead.
