The bible is a spiritual book. Your carnal fault finding mind will never understand or appreciate its truth. Define spiritual in this context. The bible is very much physical, anybody can read and understand it.

In the book of Samuel, it is clearly stated that God made David take the census while in Chronicles, Satan is the one that causes David to count the Israelites.
