Don't try to understand the things of the spirit with a dictionary. You need to reach an advanced level of understanding before you can understand these things. Man was perfect but fallible, meditate on it and the ugly spirit will give you understanding.

The bible is a spiritual book. Your carnal fault finding mind will never understand or appreciate its truth. You can say that's an excuse in trying to win an argument, but the bible itself said its contents are spiritually discerned. Stop wallowing in ignorance and enmity with God and embrace truth.

Define spiritual in this context. The bible is very much physical, anybody can read and understand it.

God allows some things sometimes.

In the book of Samuel, it is clearly stated that God made David take the census while in Chronicles, Satan is the one that causes David to count the Israelites. God and Satan might actually be one and the same. Maybe Satan is the face that he puts on when he wants to commit evil.

just admit that God as portrayed in the bible is not love. There is no point in defending God. God is jealous, he boasts that there is none like him, he is self-seeking, impatient, vengeful, remembers all wrongs and he harbors evil thoughts.
