italo1: @OP,Wow! Guess you don't have any response to their comments. You still haven't shown how atheists are inherently bitter by the way. |
italo: There is nothing irrational about being bitter because one's heart is devoid of love.Atheists are humans first before any other thing. As humans, we all come with a capacity to love. A lack of belief in a god doesn't change my core personality and it most definitely doesn't make me a bitter person. But let me still try to understand your point, why do you feel that atheists are inherently bitter? |
italo: As far as I know, Atheists are inherently bitter. Whether you say these things to them or not.Nah, that's a lie. Being an atheist doesn't make one bitter. As an atheist, you are able to face life squarely knowing that there is (are) no deity (deities) to lay blames on. You mould your own destiny so to speak. Saying someone is inherently bitter because of a lack of belief in a deity is just irrational. |
What's with all this freedom to sin brouhaha? What exactly does sin mean? Is something only a sin when it offends your god? (yes, i typed 'g' in lowercase, now shoot me) |
aManFromMars: Not NL's pm service.. send to the email address I posted earlier : prncksh@gmail.comI've sent it! |
Alfa Seltzer: The pope is in charge but has no pessession. He is a pampered pauper. Poverty is the root cause of religion. Not always true. And, technically, the pope really isn't poor. How exactly do you define poverty? |
Reyginus: I think I will have to go with Kay belowDo you truly believe that this world is ''well-ordered''? Or could you kindly explain what you mean by ''well-ordered''? |
aManFromMars: Yeah.. Prncksh@gmail.comCheck your mailbox |
Alfa Seltzer: Poverty. That's an interesting response but what would you say about the pope? The dude is in charge of one of the largest organisation in the world and yet he still has a need for God. I think poverty would only apply in poorly developed nations. |
aManFromMars: Simple answer: No.Exactly the response I expected from Folykaze. P.S: are you the same person as muskeeto? I want to send you a p.m |
FOLYKAZE: When reason and intelligence comes in, it will stand against God and religious belief. Last time I check, Allah stated in the quran people shouldn't question.... Jehovah said clearly in the bible we should reason things within our own understanding as it is a threat to belief in God.From your post, it seems like you are specifically referring to just the Christian/Muslim God(s). Mind you, there are many different Gods and religions all over the world not just the major two. So, I ask again, does a belief in god negate reason and intelligence? |
saintvc: WHY DO PEOPLE FEEL THEY DONT NEED GODI'll answer this if you can explain why god stopped existing when I stopped believing. Come to think of it, if for some odd reason, all humans stopped believing in god, god would cease to exist. |
Ray McBlue: Man was born, man asks "why am I alive", Man makes up BS story, BS story spreads like wildfire because people have nothing else to do but tell BS stories. But, have you ever wondered why different humans around the world (who had no previous contact with each other) choose to explain their existence with the concept of a god? |
FOLYKAZE: Nobody to run to anymore. Thinking cap cant be widen so God comes in.Does a belief in god negate reason and intelligence? |
manmustwac: That is true mostly in developing countries where people that have bad roads bad hospitals high unemployment corrupt leaders high crime rates etcetra etcetra look to God for comfort & assuranceSo, are you saying people in "developed" countries don't have this need? |
Good Afternoon people. I ask this question because of the fact that almost all humans in the world believe in some kind of super powerful being above them who requires absolute servitude from them. I just have to ask, do we need a god (or gods)? Does it matter if god is real or not? Why do humans feel so much need for a god? |
HumbledbYGrace: No m saying that people are interpreting in wrongly....the op just came here with his contradictions, did he study the bible in ancient greek also? The english bible have references fron its original languageMadam, why don't you quote the op and then point out the verses that were not properly translated? It takes a fool to say there is no God, it takes a wise man to thoroughly study the good news.A god that can't be proven to exist? "God" is just an idea in our minds and um...... the bible contains zero good news. |
Jesus is for everybody then. I should probably start developing my own concept of Jesus. |
henrychubayo: wow....... Is this wat the Qur'an said. is a blessing to have the bible. Both books are the same. |
. |
Enough of these nonsense testimonies!!! gosh! |
enilove: The only way is to tell the atheist the truth that he is a mad man.Wow, that must be the best way to convince atheists of the existence of god. Goodluck with that but you must have patience while doing so. |
aManFromMars: And the creator came out of nothing... LolSince the creator came from nothing, i can infer that "Nothing" is the true creator! |
By telling him or her to seek god in prayer! That's what one of my friends told me. |
hikmoj: if u said so what happened 2 Adam&Hawa(Eve)in d garden of aden?Adam & Hawa? garden of aden? Not familiar with those people or the place so I can't answer the question by d way are u a person of faith? What does it mean to be a person of faith? |
nnofaith: na wah for god sef after thousands of years he still never forgive satan! such pettynessI guess it's part of the grand design by the ultimate schemer. |
Shaytan tricks nobody. You alone hold the power to make decisions in your life. There is no mythical creature whispering into your ears. |
How about the both of them settling their scores and leaving us puny mortals out of their power game? |
