The fear of death is one of the major reasons why man can't do without religion. All religion(s) promise some type of afterlife. Humans just don't want to accept that this life is all we got (Even I am guilty of this). We want to live forever in blissful paradise and religion offers this hope.

I'm a skeptic and I just try my best not to expose my unbelief to the believers. I'm also an introvert so it's ridiculously easy to just pretend that I whole heartedly believe in a god. I just pretend to be religous when I'm around religous peeps. So I just pretend everyday because I'm only surrounded by religous peeps.

Can you explain what that verse is talking about? It says Adam was one man, you say he was a nation so who do I believe?
