Those that travelled from jibowu,how much was the fare and which company did you use?

My friend had an ingenious idea where you go to the training school a day before your interview and feign a really serious ailment like asthma or cholera( something that could get you the next day off for rest). Enter night bus that day and get to Abuja by morning, depending on your slated time find somewhere to freshen up for the interview. After the interview, get a Lagos bus and get here before 6 ready for training school. Get enough sleep in the bus and pray your buses don't have issues on the road.

Left to me, just forget the nnpc because there are too many factors beyond your control that could go wrong.

Mehn don't play yourself bad bro. Don't lose the bird in hand whilst trying to catch the one that would likely be shrouded be tribalism, favouritism and nepotism. It's not a fair risk, the selected might not even be based on merits. Guy, first bank is just as good a career start point. If you consider the cost, insecurity of going, you'll do yourself good focusing on first bank.

Btw, I also got the first bank role but I'm with the next batch and I got the interview invitation for nnpc which I intend attending for a different reason even. If I were in your shoes though, I would DEFINITELY stay back. It's is not worth the risk at all!!

After a rigorous Graduate Trainee exercise, we are pleased to offer you admission into FirstBank’s Graduate Trainee Programme , starting off with a 12-week Instructor-led (classroom) training programme.

Please confirm your acceptance of this offer by signing the indicated area in the attached and come along with it to the Training School.

Other information that I've practically mentioned in passing are contained in a Letter attached with this mail.

It talks about dress code, monthly stipend of 70k, class room training and a place for you to append your signature if you so wish to accept the training and come along with the documents.

No mention of accommodation.

The split might be so that the instructor-student ratio isn't too great.
I think they have always planned to have differing batches. We are tier 1 and the next batch should ostensibly be tier 2.

managing the instructor- student ratio makes sense too

It wasn't explicitly stated in the mail that is was residential or not. Nothing about accommodation was mentioned.

Last set were explicitly told when the TS invitation letters came that accommodation will not be provided. #FingersCrossed

Quickly, those of waiting having to wait for the next batch, does it mean we'd be waiting for a whole 3 months whilst the first batch is having theirs?

Also if you count 3months from 24th June, ends around ending of September. Assuming we would resume early October, only means ours would run into the end of the year festivities.

I feel like since it's not residential, they could have taken us all. I expected that accomodation space was a constraining factor in deciding to split us in batches.

Would be nice if anyone could post the content of the mail
