I don't think its appropriate sending a mail about an application if it hasn't exceeded the processing time. 2 Likes |

You need a visa to go through the US. There are no direct flights from Nigeria to Canada, I don't know about Accra. Why not try the European(Klm,Lufthansa,Airfrance etc) or Eastern Airlines(Etihad,Qatar etc) . Most of them(Asian airlines) don't go through America enroute to the Canada. However, when using any airline, be careful of having 2 stops in Europe (for example Lagos to London to Dublin to Canada); if you are passing through 2 European countries enroute anywhere you will need a visa for the second coutry. bigtt76: 1 Like |

So Sorry if you have been hurt by anyone here. Truth, is no matter how you judge a matter, most times ALL parties involved what have some element of blame or guilt to share. So let's forget about who's wrong or right. Also, in as much you like being straight , be mindful of your language or your intentions being misinterpreted. Not just here but in life generally. Relationships are extremely important. Perhaps, your communication pattern or language betrays you; maybe people erroneously misinterpret your point because they don't understand you. We need to be mindful of the perception we are giving out, perception is often times more powerful than reality. Just move on, forget whatever has happened. Let others do same. There's no one above mistakes. No one is perfect. We should all learn to tolerate our excesses. If a comment is hurtful, call the person out politely or better still move. We are already here for a purpose, let's not loose focus majoring on minors jessyeve: |

I think they will review that policy soon, before the end of next year perhaps. The murmurs are already there. They traditionally come out with revised immigration policies around April each year;if I'm not mistaken. The Brexit (the need to build alliances with other nations outside the EU) -especially if it turns out a hard Brexit, is another major reason that will necessitate the review. But, don't bet on that happening, go with what you are certain about. Hope is not a strategy ; never bet on hope. Fly with Canada,if you have the means. waynee2baba: 2 Likes |

I think my class was the past batch that got a 2years PSW permit in the UK, that was circa 2011. Truth is, since then the number of people especially from Africa going to the UK has REDUCED. it isn't even about wanting to stay there forever, people also want to gain some international work experience before going back to their homeland, so the lack of a straight PSW permit is a huge disincentive for a lot of people. That 3 months they give now, is nothing and very inadequate to secure a good employment that would help you change your status there. Truth is, there's really nothing in the UK, the jobs aren't there compared to places like Canada or the UK or Australia or even Germany. Getting a decent job in the UK isn't easy-it takes time and processes. If I know what I know now(no regrets anyway) , I would have gone for my Undergraduate in Canada then, rather than the UK. I had the option of Canada and the UK . Canada was taking to long, so I opted for the Uk. UK still has the fastest and most straight forward Uni admission process. You can get 5 offers letters a week from UK universities in a week. mcobex: 1 Like |

Cool down nau. Those issues are gone, forget about it. Let the past remain, in the past. No need bringing up old issues. No one is perfect,. ralfudoh: 1 Like |

To make it easier, tell your bank to give you a print out from their system showing the transaction was completed from their own end. If the transaction was completed like they said, then they should be able to generate a proof of payment/transaction receipt. Attach the document from the bank and send to the Uni. It's possible the amount left your account but didn't get into the school's account for whatever reason, with your print out from the bank then you can go to bed and give them time to reconcile the payment. Good evening House, Please when filling out an online application, if you dont have "Upfront medicals' available yet i.e. you have not done upfront medicals should the "medical tab" be one of the tabs listed by IRCC for documents to upload? |

If you have a new passport ready at the point of PPR, then send in the Old and New Passport. Most countries wouldn't even affix a visa on a passport that has less than a 6 months validity. The new passport would have the old passport's number stated in it also. Hence it shouldn't be an issue. hiambenson: 1 Like |

Yes, thought same thing too, applying from there may seem too desperate. I'm back already, secured the admission, even paid 50% of the fees . Thanks Jephehe: |

OK. Thanks but You can actually apply from within Canada so long you have a TRV, I inquired about that already. I have my biometric done already and they confirmed that immediately I put in the application. I just wanted to know if the processing time is shorter since there is already a TRV mcobex: |

Ok. Thanks. The admission is already secured and I have even paid 50% of the fees Already visited Canada and back. Went with my family , had to come back to Nigeria, couldn't spend much time because of work. Someone advised I should put in the application from Nigeria, so that was what I did. The [Qquote author=oriazowan post=79694685]My candid advise is for you to enter Canada with the visitor visa and while you are here, gain admission and apply for study permit. PS: both study permit and visitor visa are referred to TRV (Temporary Residents Visa) [/quote] 1 Like |

Hello Peeps, Pls I have a sibling in Canada and I filled that out when creating my profile. However, my CRS score has not been updated with additional 15 points by IRCC to reflect that. Is there something I am not doing? |

Na wa for WES o. I requested for my ACCA and Degree to be assessed/evaluated, I sent in copies of both degrees . However, WES sent in my report today with just my Degree assessed 3 days after recieving my Transcript from my UNI, no mention of the ACCA- they completely left it out. I should not have used WES. Corresponding with them is even an issue. |
