Sir, in summary, what cosplay is saying is this...do not misrepresent facts...if the car is salvage, say it is salvage..which to me shows honesty on dealers end.
Do not say a car is accident free when in fact it is salvage, simple, that to me is fraud.
If buyer knows full info, he is more at peace to make the purchase or not. Personally due to economic reality I really fancy d car displayed here...if a salvaged car is properly fixed, and true condition stated, I will buy if it meets my standard and budget.
On the flip side, if a dealer does not know if the car he is selling is salvage or not, then it is better to be silent, and not say 'accident free' Qed.

And guess what I always get answers... from reputable sellers.

If you wanna buy good cars, buy direct from USA using good agents or head straight to Cotonou yourself. Always get involved in buying. Ask questions too. You will learn a lot.

Almost all the cars they sell here on NL and Cheki are salvaged cars. They will look so great but when you do VIN search, it will become another story. I have been there and saw it all.

Why can't the Nigerian dealer put up the Vin like the "dishonest whiteman"? Why do I have to waste fuel/transport fare to get Vin?
If the Vin is posted, I do my Vin check before inspection, depending on severity of the accident, I can still go ahead for inspection.

My point please don't compare our dealers with the "dishonest whiteman".. I prefer the white man's dishonesty

At least, you'll know the vehicle history that is salvaged before you pay... And if there are faults, you can take the car back to him to fix or there are good mechanics over there who can fix whatever faults come up.

We don't actually mind buying salvaged/accidented vehicles here.. the main problem is availability of reliable mechanics that can fix faults associated with such vehicles without condemning the car
