You would av had a valid argument if u say the Nigeria govt are not doing more to encourage engineering profession in terms of internship, training, jobs, companies etc. Don't ever be fooled into thinking that the theories u were taught are outdated or useless. They're relevant till tomorrow. Go to uk, india, Canada... the way u are taught in a classroom is how they're taught. The only difference is a bit more exposure to real life situations. The theories are same ogbeni. Please, tell ur young ones studying engineering to be focused in Nigeria since u av clearly lost track.

I wonder how u gained admission to even read engineering. Engineering is not all about design u dimwit. Engineer design, maintain, construct, plan, supervise etc... Design is a bit shaky in Nigeria but believe me we still design. Don't sit in ur room to rubbish a profession basing from ur own laziness & inability to comprehend its principles. In abroad, u will be taught same thing we're taught here. Wen u get a job, u will laugh at ur post because ur school taught u the principles u will actually needed for the job but u were too busy chasing small girls around in school.

Engineering undergraduates study old theories from Way past generation, that is of little relevance to modern engineering. The university system teach so many calculation, and almost nothing on how to apply these mathematics to solve real life problems.

Many of theories learned aren't useless jargon, since we arent taught how to praticalise most of those knowledge, 99.99% of all engineering graduate would have forgotten what they learned by the time they graduate.
We only remember what is useful to us, what help us get through, or things we do constantly. Everything else, our brain trashes it.

Its quiet disturbing Most of the engineering student only read to pass. Which makes one question, are we in school only to pass some paper? If so, modern technology would not have existed at all.
Our primary purpose of studying engineering is to apply scientific discoveries to solve practical problems in the society. But unfortunately the system only made us to study only for grade.
Without practicing what we learn our brain will eventually discard everything as useless

An average engineering graduate does not remember 90% of what he learned in five years, I tried to go through some of my jottings from 300l, i was suprised because it all seem strange to me.. i couldn't remember a thing from the calculations l did with my own hand. A friend of my who have have a very much good grade have the same experience.

Apart from the abstractions of studying engineering in nigeria, most of the curriculum is old, we spent so much time studying theories that should be thought as a mere history. No wonder there havent been any groundbreaking engineering achievement from Nigerian universities

Majority of the engineering jobs that involve applying engineering maneuver will be given to foreigners. Innoson motor employs foreigners to do All of its engineering design, our Nigerian graduate work as if they are
mere technician. Engineering graduate will never apply most of the theories they learn at school. lot of our graduate who are lucky to find job in engineering companies work as a maintenance engineer. Whenever they need new designs or innovation, they hire foreigners to do the job, this is quite sad in my opinion. They have made mockery of 5 years of lifes. Quite sad

Honestly, u are the problem of Nigeria. The theories you are taught here is the same thing obtainable in any universities worldwide. I'm an Engineer & I'll be sincere ...many Nigerian students are lazy probably because of poverty or perhaps the urge for instant gratification(flexing & yahoo). they don't want to learn. As a matter of fact, they want to be spoon fed. Go back to those theories u so hate & start looking at them if u av forgotten because u need alot of them if u want to be an engineer

I just got my Nokia X6 today and the first thing I can say is that the design is absolutely fantastic. Such a gorgeous phone. Got it about 70k from Jumia. It's the same as Nokia 6.1 Plus. In fact, it's written as Nokia 6.1 plus in settings.

Officially, Nokia X6 is for China while 6.1 plus is the international version but 6.1 plus is much more expensive for no real difference. I used to think the difference between the models is the fact that 6.1 Plus is the Android One version of X6 but when I started my phone today, the first thing that greeted me was "Android One". I went to check GsmArena again and I saw that the X6 variant has been updated to Android One. So now it means there's basically no difference between X6 and 6.1 Plus but 6.1 Plus is about 30k more expensive.

I haven't finished checking the phone cause I have been downloading the Pie update. I will update this thread when I have time.

I have noticed two cons about the phone though:

1. The screen is not the best. Its colours are not as vibrant as Samsung phones, for example. They seem kinda dull but the resolution is great as expected.

2. The camera is not so good too but I heard using Google pixel's camera app improves this significantly so I will download that later.

Calm your tits. I've used the 4 phones to give you this brief review. Nokia 7 plus has the most balanced spec out of the 4. Size, resolution, storage, connectivity, camera, chipset, battery backup, overall aesthetics. 8 sirocco has a better display OLED but smaller size. You mentioned chipsets and camera. With exception of 8 sirocco that has SD 835, there's not much difference between SD 710 and 660. The cameras are basically the same thing when you use GCam mod.
So forget the reviews you see on the net and use the phones first, then come back and reply me

iPhone 6 Plus is a 5.5inch and it's most certainly a big phone. You need to be more specific about size and weight.

Redmi Note 7 size is pretty standard in 2019 and smaller than the iPhone plus sized phones.
