Politics / Our First Priority Is To Keep America Safe And Secure - APC Manifesto by Realcash224(m): 12:35pm On Jan 12, 2019
A website belonging to Nigeria’s ruling APC has published a plagiarised manifesto on its website, a check by The Guardian shows.
the section begins with the statement, “Our first priority is keeping America safe and secure,” which indicates that it was copied and not edited before it was published.

The website, which claims to be the “Official Website of All Progressives Congress (APC)”, was first registered on February 7, 2013, and was updated on February 7, 2018, according to whois.net.

The official registrant of the website is listed as All Progressives Congress, its admin named as Shola Erogbogbo and contact email address is listed as info@apc.com.ng.

Whois.net lists the billing address of the website as 16, Bissau Street, Zone 5, Abuja, billing name as All Progressives Congress and the sponsoring registrar as Web4Africa, a South African information technology company.

Although the website listed in the Twitter bio of the official Twitter handle of the party is officialapcng.com, it is, however, not working when The Guardian checked on Saturday morning. When the visited, the site redirected to a download option for an unnamed folder.

A media website developer told The Guardian that that particular website may have been hacked or the server has a malware.

“It is very possible that site has been hacked or that server has a malware attack,” Elijah Bello said.

“It is also possible that the site of creating a new site has been giving to someone who does not his job.”

This is not the first time the president will be accused of plagiarism.

In September 2016, a part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Change Begins With Me” speech, delivered at the launching of a social initiative against corruption and other vices, was copied from former American president Barack Obama’s 2008 victory speech.

“It was observed that the similarities between a paragraph in President Obama’s 2008 victory speech…are too close to be passed as coincidence,” presidential spokesman Garba Shehu said in a statement, adding that an unnamed “overzealous” speechwriter responsible for the plagiarism will face “appropriate sanction”.

The “Change Begins With Me” campaign itself was allegedly appropriated by the minister of information Lai Mohammed.

Politics / See The Alleges Members Of Cabal In Buhari Government - By Femi Fanikayode by Realcash224(m): 1:39pm On Dec 31, 2018
Wife of President Buhari, Aisha Buhari and many others have repeatedly alleged that there is a cabal in the Buhari-led government who have taken over the running of this administration.

Former Aviation minister and a member of the opposition party PDP, is alleging that the two men in the photo above are part of the cabal in this administration. Posting the photo above on his Facebook page, FFK wrote

"This picture says it all. The man sitting on the chair like a modern-day Sheik giving orders with his legs crossed, is Ismaila Isa Funtua, a close confidante of Buhari/Jubril and a Muslim from Katsina state.

The one sitting next to him is Abdulrahman Dambazzau, a Muslim from Kano state, who happens to be another close confidante of Buhari, who is a former Chief of Army Staff and who is the current Minister of Internal Afffairs.

They are both leading members of the Fulani cabal that currently run our country and that control Buhari/Jubril. They and a small handful of others in their cabal, all Muslims and all from the core north, make ALL the decisions affecting our nation today.

The man standing and bowing like a pliant and servile little slave before the two seated Caliphs is Godwin Emefeile, the Governor of Nigeria's Central Bank. He is a Christian from Delta state. He is running errands and taking orders from his masters and those that own and run Nigeria.

This is what we are fighting against and this is what we are seeking to change. This picture, more than any words can ever express, prove Nnamdi Kanu's, Asari Dokubo's and Adeyinka Grandson's collective point: that some people believe that they were born to rule our country whilst others are content with being their slaves.

We must resist this. We must fight it. We must change it. We must set Nigeria free from the bondage of ethnic and religious slavery and servitude that has bound her for the last 58 years.

We must restructure our country and, if the caliphs and our collective oppressors refuse to allow that and let our people go, we must break it".

Politics / APC Spoke Person Post Spanish La Liga Club, Barcelona, Stadium As Party Campaign by Realcash224(m): 9:20am On Dec 30, 2018
Two images shared by Joe Igbokwe, the Lagos State All Progressives Congress publicity secretary, to show a massive turnout at the party’s campaign rally in Uyo are fake and deceptive.

APC launched its 2019 presidential campaign at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom on Friday.

Igbokwe, in a bid to show off the massive turnout at the campaign, uploaded some pictures showing massive crowd at a stadium on his Facebook wall on Friday with the caption “SOUTH SOUTH MAKES HISTORY. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS”.
Having reverse-searched the images in the post, which had geared 406 shares as at report time, The Guardian can report that the two images are not only phoney but have also been miscontextualised as one of the pictures does not relate to a political rally or even Nigeria.

Our findings showed that the first image was taken on August 29, 2007, showing a Spanish La Liga club, Barcelona, stadium. The second picture shared by Igbokwe, the side cover of the stadium is rectangular while that of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium is oval-shaped.
Also, the tent in the middle is not the same with the ones in the pictures shared by the party on its social media pages and also ostensibly for security reasons there was no huge crowd at the back of the tent used for the podium whereas Igbokwe’s image showed massive crowd behind the podium.

The Guardian also observed that the crowd present on the actual pitch of the Uyo stadium was not close to that shared by the spokesman. Moreover, the decor of the podium at Uyo Stadium is different from the one shared by Igbokwe.

This is not the first time the spokespersons of the party will be posting images misrepresentative of facts.

Earlier this month, Social media aide to Nigerian President, Lauretta Onochie, shared a fake image to attack Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party.

In September, she had to apologise cheekily after she was confronted that an image she posted of the Nasarawa-Jos Road was a random image from the internet.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, on Sunday swore that “the man in Aso Rock” was President Muhammadu Buhari and not any impostor as being peddled by the opposition.

Ngige stated this in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, while answering questions from journalists.

He said those who were insinuating that Buhari was Jubrin from Sudan were those who wished him dead.

Ngige said, “I’m talking to you as a medical doctor. If you are well treated by your doctor, you will be rejuvenated. That’s the case with Buhari. That is why he is bubbling with life. His doctors treated him well.

“I see him regularly. He’s the Buhari who worked as minister of petroleum; he is the Buhari who was the head of state of this country. He remembers all these.

“I ask our people to come out en masse and vote massively for him in the 2019 elections. We should stop listening to all these gutter talks.

Politics / 145 Aggrieved Support Groups Dump Atiku For Buhari Over Dubai Party by Realcash224(m): 12:27pm On Nov 28, 2018
About 145 coalition of aggrieved Support Groups have withdraw their support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, pledging their support and loyalty to president Muhammadu Buhari for the 2019 presidential election.
Making the announcement at a press briefing in Abuja at an event to mark the official declaration for the campaign of president Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid, Coordinator of the Groups, Bello Osaretin, said that they want to be part of the ‘Next Level’ movement.
While promising to mobilize their members to give President Buhari six million votes, the Groups coordinator said: “We the members of aggrieved Atiku Support Groups Coalition, warehousing more than 145 aggrieved support groups across Nigeria unanimously agreed to denounce membership of Atiku Presidential Campaign Office and as well withdraws total supports for Atiku Abubakar Presidential ambition nationwide with immediate effect and direct all affiliate bodies to do same forthwith.
“Our decision to quit the Atiku’s project was occasioned by the total neglect and disregards for the sanctity of support groups existence, acknowledgment and recognition of groups contributions coupled with nepotic deployment to favour some selected support groups with ethnic affinity, administrative recklessness in management of support groups goodwill, rebarbative use of derogatory lingos such as mere volunteers and nuisance to ascribed support groups instrumental for Atiku to defeat eleven co-contestants in PDP Presidential Convention and the use of coercive force, such as thugs and political touts to unleash mayhem on support groups that we are disgruntled to the injustice prevalent in APCO.
“However, after the emergence of the Atiku as Presidential Candidate in Port-Harcourt, the victory party was relocated to Dubai, where emporia em emporium was hatched and cabals that never laboured were the first to sit at the tea party, meanwhile the support groups that labored through thick and thin were neglected, abandoned, used and dumped, confirming the usual parlance of “monkey day work baboon dey Chep” which has been the usual style of PDP as a political party.
“It is a common knowledge to state thus, though not trying to make common sense but rational thinking that it is not all that are common that makes sense, therefore, support groups who were neglected and treated with disdain has the right and privilege to migrate to places Where they will be treated with royalty.
“Our decision to quit Atiku’s presidential project is informed and inspired by the outcome of wide consultations and engagements embark upon over the past few months as it were clearly observable that the Nigerian people are not interested in restarting Nigeria, knowing fully well that Nigeria is working and are ready to move enmass to the NEXT LEVEL of economic prosperity, socio-cultural reintegration and political stability.
“We are proud to state that Nigerians are at home with the current achievements of President Buhari and cannot afford to return to the old days of political darkness and jabberwocky, where looters of our common patrimony were been celebrated and given front seats in social functions, instead of languishing in jail.
“Similarly, the Nigerian people can’t afford political nomads and people delinquent in leadership panache and content to govern Nigeria again. Nigeria is already moving forward and in save hands with President Buhari in the driver’s seat,” he said.
“To this end, we as members of aggrieved Atiku Support Groups nationwide do hereby pledge our unalloyed loyalty and allegiance to Buhari and promise to mobilize and give six million votes to him,” he added.
Politics / My Son In-law Will Contest Imo Gov’ship In Another Party – Okorocha by Realcash224(m): 6:33am On Nov 28, 2018
Governor Rochas Okorocha, yesterday, gave a hint that his son-in-law and former Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu, will vie for the Imo State governorship on the platform of another party.

Nwosu, who is also a governorship contender of the APC, and others who did not make it during the recent primary elections, would most likely quit the ruling party for another to pursue their ambitions. Okorocha said he would not stop any of his aggrieved loyalists from defecting.

Our correspondent gathered that no fewer than 27 members of the Imo State House of Assembly and National Assembly candidates, including Nwosu, who felt aggrieved from the conduct the APC primaries, may be heading to another party before the substitution window closes on December 1. But the Imo governor reassured President Muhammadu Buhari that his followers would deliver him at the presidential election and vowed to deal with any of them who disobeyed him.

According to him, “What will happen is that while they move to realise their ambition under any other platform, I remain in APC and support them. Such parties will have no presidential candidate, but will adopt President Muhammadu Buhari as their candidate.

“What we saw in Imo APC was a clear case of injustice and the worst imposition in history. The party members are aggrieved and they will be moving to another party to pursue their ambitions and I am not going to stop them, but we are going to form alliance with whichever party they choose to deliver President Buhari.

Politics / Buhari Undecided, Atiku, Duke Ready For Presidential Debate Jan 19 by Realcash224(m): 6:27am On Nov 23, 2018
President Muhammadu Buhari has yet to take a decision on whether he will take part or not in the presidential debate slated for January 19, 2019 by the Nigeria Election Debate Group.

But the Peoples Democratic Party and the Social Democratic Party said their candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Donald Duke respectively, would take part in the debate.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Election Debate Group, Mr John Momoh, told journalists in Abuja on Thursday that the group had fixed January 19, 2019 for a debate for presidential candidates of different political parties taking part in the 2019 elections.

Momoh, who is also the chairman of the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, said the debate series would, however, start on December 14, 2018 when vice presidential candidates are billed to take their turns.

He added that the debates would hold at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, and would be broadcast live by all BON members.

He said the debate would focus on the nation’s economy, electricity, job creation, health care, education and security, among others.

Momoh said Nigeria would be strong when elected leaders were transparent, adding that such openness must start long before election.

He said, “Our nation is strongest when our elected leaders are transparent, accessible and accountable to its citizens, explaining their decisions and answering tough questions. That standard of openness must start long before election day.

“It is for this reason that the Nigerian Election Debate Group and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria are organising a vice presidential debate on December 14, 2018 and a presidential debate on January 19, 2019.

“The debates would hold at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja and will be broadcast live on all BON member radio and television stations across the country.

He added, “The debates will also be streamed live on all mobile and social media platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

In justifying the debates, Momoh said it was a well-known fact that Nigeria, in spite of its potential, was faced with a social crisis that began way back during the military era and had been with the democratic rule since.

He said the nation today was experiencing a health care crisis threatening women and children, education crisis threatening children’s future, power crisis crippling economic activities, and a more fundamental crisis of corruption, accountability and security.

He identified other challenges facing the nation to include threat to national unity, resource control and selfdetermination, ethnicity-based identity politics and religious cleavages which he said had enveloped national consciousness.
Many of these problems, Momoh argued, stemmed from decisions made by Nigerian leaders behind closed doors or openly.

When asked about the group’s plan to avoid past situations when leading candidates shunned similar debates, he said it was the prerogative of the candidates to attend.

He said while some countries had already enshrined it in their constitution to make it compulsory for candidates to participate in debates, Nigeria had yet to do so.

He recalled that efforts had been made in the past to ensure that such a law was made in Nigeria.

Momoh expressed the hope that in the not too distant time, such a law would be promulgated in Nigeria.

In an interview with the punch correspondents, the spokesman for Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr Festus Keyamo (SAN), said no decision had been taken on whether Buhari would participate in the debate or not.

He said once a decision was taken on the matter, it would be made public.

“I am not the only one that will take that decision. When that time comes, all those concerned will sit down and take a decision on that and we shall make our decision public,” Keyamo said. But the National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, in a separate interview said the party’s presidential candidate would take part in the debate.

Secondus described the debate as an opportunity to tell Nigerians what the party had to offer Nigerians and why the citizens should vote for its candidate.
Secondus said, “The PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will be live at the debate and we will tell Nigerians in clear terms what we have to offer them.

“We are not going to shy away from the people we are seeking their votes. We will talk to them, answer their questions and also sell our party and its manifesto to them.
