Like I said earlier Pan and Jac are not Nigerian brands like Innoson and Nord, Innoson makes most it's part over here, the engine yeah is outsourced and thats not biggies, other brands also outsource parts its no biggies too which I pointed out Apple an American company and Samsung a Korean company yet they can't be classified a Chinese brand even tho they outsource some of their components from China, or do you still want to deny that?

Some of the comments I read earlier about Innoson copying other chinese brands designs and what not, as a means to downplay the brand is just uncalled for tbh.

so what if our local brands copy others as they embark on their course, what's the fuzz about it really? The same Chinese also copied other existing brands before doing something unique to them, isn't our country copying other countries in terms of system of government and policies and etc,do we have everything unique to us here or anywhere in the world?
so what's now the fuzz that our local brands are copying other existing brands too?

Whilst I love the redmi 9, I still think at 41k and 46k respectively, the redmi 9a and 9c, lacks in some areas..
True, u get the new g25 and g35 processors, I still think those are rebranded p23 and p35 with little changes..
At that price point, I could mention a list of devices, that will satisfy a normal light user at that price better than the 9A and the 9c

slight upgrade u may call it yet its an upgrade grin

which placed with the p23 or p35 on the Umidigi a7 pro or a5 pro, it still outperforms it tho,nonetheless let's not shy away from the fact that one can't speak much from a device at such price tag, just mild usage and no qualms.

From it's launch, I've followed a lot of rants and hypes on this phone, and although it's a little worth it, this phone starting at 66k for the 4/64gb ain't a budget device at all like its called by some.

True, when compared to infinix note 7 and the likes from transsion, it offers more value for money, but the part darris to off me is when xiaomi fanboys be like

That's a refined rubbish, because to the Nigerian man with a budget pocket, I doubt a phone above 50k should be called a budget device!!

Meanwhile the redmi note 8(a real proper mid-ranger) still retails around 70k! So if you call the redmi 9 a budget device, then u dnt know what true budget is..

The redmi 8 Is the worst, the most overhyped phone from xiaomi. At 56k, this phone ain't value for money at all..
Yet it gets promoted by all these guys..having used it, I can boldly tell u, this phone starting from the processor to the mediocre 720p display, poor design etc..ain't worth ur 56k at all!!

I'll choose the a7 pro(even with it's mediocre p23, but a far lesser price), the realme c3, etc than that redmi 8.

My point is why these guys bash people's thread, they should do it with wisdom!!

Cuz most times their argument ain't usually sensible

you can take a look at the redmi 9a and 9c price and specs, these are OK for the price and would have been way lesser where it not for the naira devaluation, at least the recent offerings from Xiaomi not the redmi 8,8a tho

But truth be told, u'll get better value for money below the 50k price range from these brands!

well our currency devaluation isn't helping matters here tho those within the $100 bracket pose better specs, likes of UMIDIGI will be priced lower than the current price too if not for our naira devaluation n won't be categorized in the same bracket Sha, in all when choosing a budget device u look at ur pocket and corresponding specs offered by the brands, all round device with value for money spent, bear it in mind alot of folks are coming from different predominant brands in Naija to Xiaomi and at times its because of their disappointment from the previous brands that make them seem like freedom fighters grin

, yeah, tho facts still has to be said about the brand offering better alternatives to most existing brands in Naija.

Just my take on the issue tho.

what I said wasn't a statement but a question in response to his claim that there are over 20 guys doing so since the case at hand is about innoson and Nord,these two are in the same sphere, Bennie you mentioned isn't in the same sphere as we can both agreed Beenie is more in agro vehicles as opposed to Innoson and Nord, that been said Beenie can't be used as an example to confirm his claim in totality, your pics of Beenie shows more of agro spec vehicles, one sport car, one that looks like the Polaris slingshot, more like prototypes than actual cars on the road tho, your answer that he makes commercial agro spec vehicles is correct but not the answer to my question as I posed it to reflect the specs made by innoson and Nord.

we all know inosson source her parts from Asia (China I think) (unless we want to deceive ourselves).

Innoson make majority of it parts in Nigeria, the engine is outsourced, don't forget Innoson makes parts for other guys in auto industry especially the motor bike guys, he was into that business before he started the fabrication plants here and ventured into cars and the likes.

Can you call Apple a Chinese company as it outsource some of its parts from China and others, can you say same for Samsung who does same?

Innoson is a Nigerian automobile brand that outsource some of its parts just like Apple an American company that also outsource some of its parts, same with Samsung a Korean company. Hence, Innoson is a Nigerian brand not a Chinese brand.

Jac and Pan on the other hand are foreign brands setting up assembly plants in Nigeria, not a Nigerian brand.

Even in the auto sphere everyone outsources from parts to tech and all.

my bad bro,made a mistake adding the note, speaking of the redmi 8, other notable mentions will include the redmi 9, 9a and 9c, all these with the redmi 8 offer better specs for the price, just like the earlier comment stated you will have to consider the naira devaluation in terms of pricing as it affects us over here. Like I said earlier the rivals in this segment is Realme.
