Rishard: Come and join me sing hallelujah!! E be like say yesterday na film!!! God has done it! God is amazing! Madam got her visa o
I want to thank all the gurus in the house especially oga @justwise. I've been following visa posts since 2012.
After 2 visa visit refusals we decided to chill and then put in spouse visa few years after. To all those still waiting, study these nairaland threads like you're studying your bible, ask questions and believe in yourself and God and you will get it. You are next in line for a miracle! Can anyone who's flown air maroc give me a review? The other airlines prices are so expensive.
Here's our timeline.

EvaMD: Okay so we just received this email.. heart don begin beat fast fast..dunno what to expect .. although am still believing God for a miracle..
Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.
Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.
We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.
How long did it take for anyone who received this kinda mail to get a ready for collection email from them.. Dont let your heart be troubled, the HO are under a lot of pressure at present with the volume of applications. This is a standard letter which is really saying they are not meeting target times. Afraid your application, as are many others, taking longer to process because of numbers applying. You might recieve passport collection mail tomorrow. That's how they roll now. Congratulations! |

teejay231: Hello guys,
All glory to God, I have just collected my passport with the issued vignette sticker and BRP letter!!!!!
I only discovered this group after I had already submitted my application and was really impressed that a lot of people were willing to provide so much advice and support for their fellow Nigerians. I was also a little worried after reading all the posts and seeing all the documents people had submitted as I had been very nonchalant with mine. But thanks to this group and some research after the fact, I know now what I didn't then. And luckily for me, I also had a good lawyer. But with this group, you don't really need a lawyer. My lawyer did make a mistake on the online application form with one of my travel dates. I was worried about that but he did say it didn't matter but also included the correction in the cover letter.
From my experience, the spouse visa application is similar to the Tier level system. As long as you meet the required points (English language, tb test; adequate accommodation; minimum financial requirements and proof; relationship evidence) then by Gods grace, you should get your visa. I must thank all the people that help on here and also hope more people will find this group before they submit their applications. I do pray that every application is granted in Jesus name!
TIMELINE
ONLINE APPLICATION (Standard): May 10th, 2017 (completed and submitted by my lawyer)
BIOMETRIC (Ikeja Lagos): May 17th, 2017
DOCUMENTS SENT TO SHEFFIELD: May 18th, 2017 (sent by my lawyer)
CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM UKVI: May 28th, 2017
DECISION MADE ON UKVI WEBSITE: August 8th, 2017 (Tracked that day nothing, displayed only on August 10th, 2017 after 12 noon) 57 Nigeria working days / 59 UK working days (https://www.timeanddate.com/date/workdays.html)
TLS EMAIL (Decision made): August 14th, 2017
TLS EMAIL (PASSPORT READY FOR COURIER DELIVERY): August 14th, 2017
TLS EMAIL (COURIER DISPATCHED): August 14th, 2017
PASSPORT PICKED: August 15th, 2017
After DHL tracking system failed and several customer service calls, I had to track down the delivery guy who didn't have a motorcycle or car to deliver packages. He apparently delivers using public transport and had gone home due to heavy rain. Luckily he didn't lose my passport.
VISA VALIDITY: August 16th, 2017 to September 15th, 2017 (expires same day as my current visit visa) Congratulations!!! Let the celebrations continue |

mimimonroe: Good day all, Please I need advice. I submitted the supporting documents from my husband's spousal application last week I have been living with my mother for over 10 years and have used my mum's address to invite my husband and he was issued visiting visa three times. I decided to get council apartment that we can move into when he comes over The issue now is that some of my documents have the old address (mum's) while some have my current address. Would that be grounds for refusal? Thank you If I tell you that it would be or not, it will not change anything. You have submitted the documents and can not call it back for correction. You should have asked or find out before submitting nevertheless, I advice that you write a letter explaining the changes in the address and send it to the quoting your reference number then, keep your fingers crossed and have faith. Good luck |

I went to the Tb centre in lagos to see if I can get a reprint but couldnt . I was told at the centre my husband should scan and send to me on my device and show them at immigration Or My husband meets me at the airport , i call him to gives it to me . ( I need to find my uk line )
Pls what can I do ? What's the best option need to book on time . Thanks I don't think that it's a problem cause most of people that travelled with their own was not even asked to present it but it's advisable to travel with it though to avoid the story that touches. Lexusgs430: My advice(s) justifiable you felt was harsh, but you thankfully remembered my final point. I said the visa would still be granted, I stated your time would be wasted, but eventually you guys would come out trumps........
One point you have to understand is, when people seek advice, clarifications or directions. And people sugar-coat the advice they give, the requester might not have a clear direction.
But telling you what you might not like to hear, but that aspect been the truth is the best approach......
The level of advice you might have received, albeit been a combination of negative and positive, spurred you in a positive direction and the desired outcome was achieved......
Congratulations in advance.... In life, we learn everyday. No one person is an island of information. That is the simple reason people find this thread a positive approach to their individual spousal visa application process.....
Glad you came back to issue a feedback on our dealings. @Lexusgs430, well spoken. The truth told that hurts but spours one to positive action is better than lies that will sweet the ear and lead to destruction. We should try not to in any means breach immigration rules. These rules has been made and we must keep them if we want to enjoy the benefits. Mistakes is for us to learn not our destruction. |

Kemory12: Good afternoon everyone, I just came across this site last week! Just want to share my experience and to encourage everyone waiting for their visa to hang on the faith! I went to UK in 2010 on student visa and due to some issues from home office. I couldn't renew my visa and overstayed! I met my husband 2014 thinking to get married and applied for spouse visa but was not possible instead home office sent me a letter to come and be signing, I complied and was signing till our solicitor ask us to go home and apply I came to naija last December to get married and applied in May. To God be the glory my visa came out today. God favoured me despite overstaying but God proved himself worthy. Pls to everyone still waiting don't loose hope if God can do mine he will sure do for everyone. I received the not straight forward email on 1st of August and my visa was approved on that same 1st of August. What a might God we serve. Indeed there is nothing God can not do. Just believe!!!. However silent following is not so nice cause there are people who might benefit from your experience and contributions. Congratulations!!! |

joygirl2017: Esther 2:15-16, ESV When the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his own daughter, to go in to the king, she asked for nothing except what Hegai the king’s eunuch, who had charge of the women, advised. Now Esther was winning favor in the eyes of all who saw her.
9Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs
Proverbs 21:1New Living Translation (NLT)
21 The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord; he guides it wherever he pleases.
Ex33:19 18Then Moses said, "I pray You, show me Your glory!" 19And He said, "I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion." Ps 102:13 says “Thou shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion, for the time to favour her, yea, the set time is come”. I declare that this is my time for the lord to arise and have mercy upon me for the time of my favour has come.
Exodus 33:17, ESV And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”
Expect good news soon , its our month of celebration. So shall it be. There shall not be any rejection this August. It's laughter all the way!!!! |
