subomi2: . Now i am reading that i need to take them all to TLS whn going for biometric.....so they can scan them?? i read here that they wont collect supporting docs from you that they will ask you to send them to partner who will now send to sheffield , so i have been sending all docs in bits to him o.
Please help, is it true??
What am i really to take along to the TLS for biometrics.....i hope i dont have high BP before someone responds.... The only thing that will be collected from you is your international passport and online application confirmation. But u can as well go with your IHS payment confirmation and appointment confirmation. Every other documents should be sent to Sheffield office. |

MrBBBB: I just got another mail from TLS that my passport is backand available for pick up.
I am not sure as to why this was fast . is this the normal trend? also do they normally transport your passport to sheffiled?
Am just curious It's normal but sometimes it takes days. Passports are never transported to Sheffield, it has been at the embassy all the while. Once they are satisfied with the application they will inform the embassy to issue the visa. Your visa is approved then! Enjoy! |

tayeby78: Application was refused based on not meeting the financial requirements......i hasn't been in my current employment for 6 months so I combined my documents from self employment and 3 months of current earrings to show evidence which was completely wrong. This had now been rectified as I have been in current employment for over a year now and earn over 40k per annum.
Also refused on relationship not being genuine cos we only submitted pictures from court wedding and traditional wedding which was about 6 pictures.....*covers face * and no chat or call history included. Again, we have enormous evidence to prove this.
Lastly was the English language because we only added the transcripts from his UK masters degree and not the degree certificate but we have now done a naric certification from his bsc in naija.
Lawyer reckons it is not a good idea to reapply now since there's a hold on making decisions on spousal applications 're the financial requirements and that even priority applications are waiting longer than usual. I am so confused. Don't know what other steps to take. Just wish I'd known about the forum before we applied:-( my own opinion; you have now covered all the loop holes according to the info given here by u so I will advise that you reapply, if u still have enough fund, cause they will not refuse u the second time with the package u are having now again, appeal takes longer time. Your lawyer saying that I should not reapply because of the hold on making decisions doesn't sound right cause u have already passed the financial requirement with ur new income. 2 or 3 months waiting is better than 18 months waiting. |

Now my questions are 1) Can we go ahead with involving the MP 2) If we involve the MP, I hope it won't backfire on their decision concerning my application. Please house I need your opinion. Thank you
Going with the MP is the fastest and the surest way to get info from them concerning an application and that action does not have any thing to do with a decision that has been made in an application. |

joygirl2017: Thanks so much really put my mind at ease and got better clarification . Just rolling my days into 60 days rule Pls 1 question this 60days wait ,Does this apply to only priority application or it applies to standard application ?
If its does for both then I dont see the need for paying that huge and extra amount of £ just to wait same period with standard . Just trying to get more clarification Thanks The 60 days wait is for priority applicants at the moment . Standard applicants still remains the same sometimes, a little bit longer like a week if u don't recieve a hold email. |

Since then no message from them. I also tried to track it from the link shared on this thread, but kept showing reference number not recognised. I also used my IHS no, still showed the same. My husband called Sheffield on 5th of july and they said that they will escalate it, I just got another email from them today telling me that my application is not straight forward and that they will get back to me as soon as possible . Please what can I do, the waiting is getting too long for me.
When u recieve application not straight forward of a thing relax, it's not a problem yet. They will definitely get back to u by calling your hubby for interview or requesting for some more documents. So tell ur hubby to look out for that. It could take up to 1 to 2 weeks. Just be optimistic and u will rejoice soon. |

MrBBBB: The story is my biometric was done was on 8th of May and supporting documents were delivered on the 16th of May. And I paid priority for the application and no response till date being the 15th July. Making it 2 months. I expected priority to be treated at least 4-10weeks (I think) You better start parking your bag cause you are getting your Visa by next week. From the look of things, you will get a decision this week. |
