Now the have been gleefully perpetuating that scam, fraud & corruption for the past 7 years thereby mortgaging this country into eternal indebtedness. Who dares the cabals dares the Devil to a one on one duel. The Government should borrow $5 Billion dollars to build a new Refinery and not borrow money to pay subsidy. |

Christianity Etc › Re: My Neighbor Is Pressuring Me To Accept God by Realists(m): 2:14pm On Jan 16, 2023 |
Would you rather go to mosque or shrine if you can't go to church? Would you rather be a muslim, atheist or traditionalist if you can't be a Christian? There was a point that you gave excuse if not going to church cos of pastors. Later you said you v removed yourself from Christendom. You see, there are counterfeit products in every original. You might v gone to churches that aren't doing some things right. But not all Churches or let me say not all pastors. That bible verse that talked about not forsaking thy brethren Hebrews 10:25 said so after considering Isaiah 57:15. There's a difference between fellowship together and God that dwell in anyone that's holy. Even evil sects v communion and fellowship together to strengthen each other not to talk about communion and fellowship in the name of God. When you attend church, you ll hear messages being interpreted in diverse ways and more level of understanding. You pray/intercede for one another, you make friends etc. You can say friends can come from anywhere. But if you v friends from house of God, it's cool too. So...the lady inviting you to church did well. She may not be able to convince you immediately and it's not by force. But verily I say onto you. There's a part that lead to eternal life. That's the way of God. Jesus is the truth, the way and life. Attending church services makes your hear word of God from ordained servants. You can say you ll hear it from radio or TV but of you can be physically present somewhere, do it. And evangelizing ll make you fulfill one of the commandments of God to those that has received the gospel of Jesus. Nigerian factor can bastardize things. You can see that sports, education, science, commerce etc in Nigeria are abused. Same way Nigeria affected the church. If you ask Muslims, Traditionalists, even Atheists, their complaints won't be far from Nigerian factor. But remove yourself from Nigerian factor and serve your creator. Shalom. Christians need to start researching more about Christianity origin for their salvation. |

Education › Re: U.S. Professor Fired For Showing Paintings Of Prophet Muhammad To Students by Realists(m): 11:24am On Jan 10, 2023 |
etrange: I don't think presenting "non conforming" scholarly artifacts is tantamount to being stupid. I believe it depends on the origin of the painting and how she presented it. She's in the academia, so if there's a renowned painting in a reputable museum that a certain school of thought believe to be that of the prophet, it's the duty of a scholar to study it, document it and keep the record as "a painting claimed to be that of the prophet". This is regardless of whether she actually believes it herself or not. In some fields, you don't just teach your personal believes but other people's arguments too. After all, many religious people have been made to argue for and against the existence of God in philosophy classes. Our Christian teachers were forced to teach us Charles Darwin's theory of evolution even though they didn't believe it.
It's all a matter how the teacher presented it. If the school had problems with her, it's probably cause she categorically stated and probably insisted that was his real picture. Anyway, she wasn't sacked as reported by the OP. Her contract wasn't terminated. The school just refused to extend her contract (contract workers have thier contracts renewed after a period of 6 to 12 months if the employer still needs them). This will not reflect as a sack on her career profile, so she could easily get another job. Why trespass on the religion of others to prove to the world you are the " new Albert Einstein" ?. See what over Sabi has caused her. They won't renew the contract, due to her intolerance & respect to her neighbors. |
