TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by realone01(m):
100k is equivalent to almost 600cad, anyone who is ready and willing to borrow you that amount without a specified payback date must be really nice. do you know the number of hours you need to work to earn that much? what if things do not work out as you have planned, what is gonna happen? Onyeoma3 has said it all "it's not advisable to travel to a foreign land without being prepared". I wish y'll good luck in your app, more good news in the house by God's grace.
AriseOCompatrot:
Money should NEVER be the reason why someone does not attempt something. It is better to try and fail than to keep wondering whether or not you would have made it if you had tried. If someone gets admission, gets visa, and then manages to get flight ticket, haba...even if he cannot afford first semester tuition, he should by all means GO! If the door opens, by all means walk through it! If you get pushed back, hey, you'll still end up at the same spot you would have been if you didn't take the step, so, nothing spoil.

It is not only by working than people can get money to pay tuition. What if you get a scholarship in the second year? What if you get an idea that you can sell and make a breakthrough? What if someone you meet over there is willing to help you with half a semester's tuition? There are several other ways money can come your way apart from paid employment.

If you don't have money, then you don't have money! But I can bet you that it will be easier to convince someone to borrow you 100k to complete you school fees when you get stranded in Canada, than to convince them to borrow you 1k to feed when you get stranded in Nigeria.

I've used a couple of extreme examples here but my point is this: the race is not to the swift, the battle is not to the strong, and Canadian education is not to those that have the money for it. Time and chance happens to all men. When its your time you better take your chance!

Onyeoma3:
My opinion about coming to Canada with/without tuition fees based on my personal experience and that of friends around me (everyone is entitled to his /her opinion though)...

*E no easy for Canada, the country is expensive.

*Professional jobs are not easy to come by immediately after graduation (IT fields are fair though),even the menial jobs sef na wahala esp during winter as there are less sales.

*No one is ready to give you shiishii in this country, you work for every kobo you get.

*Your location matters a lot esp if you're interested in working round the clock.

All things being equal, it's not advisable to go to a foreign land without being prepared in case of worst case scenario... So as not to be stranded and eventually resort to illegal activities.

true talk dear
tnuola:
My dear friend don't make people feel they can work and make their schools fees from working and schooling at the same time.. Its almost impossible,if one doesn't have enough, its best to gather enough money here before going there.
And there's no such thing as schooling at ones pace o

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 5:13pm On May 06, 2015
you are good to go! nice documents
Team12:
I am sure that the VO knows that study leave is not a must have and that it depends on company policy. While I know that it aids your application, I don't believe that it is compulsory to submit one, especially if you can't get it.

is anyone coming to humber college this summer?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 9:57pm On Apr 22, 2015
it is stated both on TRV n study permit
justwise:
They are all saying different things. Your length of stay in Canada will be stated on your study/work permit stamped at POE and not TRV.

TRV allows you to get into Canada to be issued work or study visa.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 9:29pm On Apr 22, 2015
this is what akanni n luvly has been trying to explain to you
justwise:
TRV is not visa, study permit given to you at the POE is and that is what you need to extend/renew before it expires
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 9:04pm On Apr 22, 2015
akanni is right. try to read n digest his posts
justwise:
You are just a master of confusion and i hope only you believe what you just written.

Whatever you are holding TRV/study visa/work visa...etc ..you are advised to apply for an extension/renew 30days before it expires.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 12:49am On Apr 22, 2015
tax clearance, form co2 & co7, reference letter from the company' bank n letter from the company. Note: if you going for am undergraduate program, its not advisable to use a company' soa. But u can use it if a close family of yours (e.g parents) own the company.
olaniyisal:
What are the other documents from the company you used apart from getting the company soa
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 12:41am On Apr 22, 2015
per semester
zizytd:
i dont mean for the trv. i mean when you are alrerady schooling, is it paid per semester or you have to pay full before resuming.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 12:39am On Apr 22, 2015
you get your biometric letter immediately your application is submitted online. You will need your passport for biometrics n the biometric letter is valid for 30 days from the date you submitted ( i stand to b corrected tho), so u choose any convenient date.
Zattiezat:
hi guys, thanks for all the response
Nigerians rock
want to find out if you need to be in the country when you submit online in order words is the biometrics immediately you submit or you choose the date you want to go, I want to know if I should just stay in Nigeria till I submit or I can go and return in time for biometrics

also do they take the physical international passport during biometrics or u will be asked to submit after medicals
thnks again
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 7:10pm On Apr 20, 2015
you should be fine with that amount, getting a cosponsor is a plus
Zattiezat:
hello guys,
first I want to say thanks to everyone that posted their experiences on this forum it has been so helpful.. God bless u all
second I have a couple of questions
-just got admission into the uni of Saskatchewan for masters in public health, first question is it necessary to pay tuition before applyinf for trv and does it improve my chances if I do so
-my school resumes in august im confused if I should be in a hurry to submit or I should ensure my financials r in order first
-my dad is a pensioner but he owned his company and his last contract was in 2009, so no pension fund but he still has fixed deposits and accounts of about 9m is that sufficient or i need a co-sponsor
my passport reads tolani zainab but my academic name is omotolani zainab please will this cause a problem
thank you
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by realone01(m): 12:39am On Apr 20, 2015
