Jostoman:Do our politicians have conscience? |
Good, this alone is enough to even reschedule the Lagos State Governorship Election. More police should be mobilised to every polling unit across Lagos to avoid what happened today from happening again. https://www.nairaland.com/7617186/residents-protest-against-political-thugs#121850950 |
Even a whole Sisi Yemmie and her husband were labelled Igbos today. Lol. Why are we doing this to ourselves na? |
"Residents Protest Against Political Thugs Blocking Voting in Lagos Governorship Election." Earlier today, a group of residents in Onirike, Lagos, took to the streets to protest against political thugs who were preventing them from casting their votes during the Governorship election. The residents marched through the streets, chanting "We must vote" in large numbers. However, the election in Lagos was heavily marred by violations, with reports of people being turned away from voting due to their tribal affiliation. Several videos circulating online show thugs preventing people from accessing polling units by claiming they belong to a particular tribe, with some reportedly targeting people of Igbo origin. In one incident, a popular online influencer and YouTuber, Sisi Yemmie, and her husband were among the victims of such intimidation tactics. Furthermore, there were reports of violence, with the police allegedly shooting and killing one of the thugs who resisted them. Overall, the election in Lagos was characterized by a high level of unrest and violations of the voting process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-I3nHV6hI0 |
That's very nice. I commend their efforts. But how many were arrested in Lagos? |
They built a new door behind one of the INEC offices in PH to perfect rigging today but guys burst them 3days ago ![]() |
Lagos nko? We need more of their display of power in Lagos right now. They said and lied it was a joke but today they're carrying out their threat. Laugh as hard as yhu want but remember, whatever goes around, comes around. They stood at the gate and won't let any Igbo enter the compound to vote.
|
There's a particular polling Unit around there that thugs were stopping Igbos from voting. The compound has a gate and yhu will be seriously cautioned before to not going in and vote any other party except APC. I have a video evidence to my claim. |
Massiveglory:That one is very sure 100%. Leave them, when it starts falling on them, we will all be hearing to have a very good laugh at them. Let them continue to support evil and illegality in the name of "tribalism". |
Dem don start again. What is really the problem that we can't just get things right in this nation. I listen to this man describing how INEC glorified themselves and promised to make this election best ever in the history of Nigeria but turned around and violated the Law. Very shameless set of people. Yhu made a promise only to turn around and do otherwise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26x3j6ac-xc |
Racoon:Don't mind that attention seeker. |
Shut up! Who even listens to this one? Seems he doesn't know how irrelevant he is. Seeking attention up and down.... The International bodies kicking against the nonsense rocking our electoral process already, be there fooling yhurself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26x3j6ac-xc |
I laugh in Spanish. Free and fair indeed. What about this? Dey play. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26x3j6ac-xc |
Hope this is not just another audio investigation though. |
Bluev:I have said it before, if we continue like this hmmm. It's just such a shame that outsiders now care for us than our government. |

The follow-up to the thread here: https://www.nairaland.com/7612980/inec-under-fire-usa-demands I have included more comprehensive information. In an effort to dispel claims of the video being fraudulent, additional details have been provided to clarify the current situation. I hope we know what's up now. Lol |
In a statement issued by its General Counsel, W. Bruce DelValle, NADECO, USA has initiated a worldwide call to action among international communities, urging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to demonstrate evidence that the results announced for the presidential election held on February 25th comply with the existing laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Article 25 of the International Human Rights Act. Bruce has emphasized that it is crucial for the international community to focus on the Nigerian Judiciary if it fails to take appropriate action. He highlights the importance of upholding international law and human rights, specifically Article 25 of the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights, which was adopted in 1966 and became law in 1976. This treaty was signed by both the United States and Nigeria, and in the United States, when a treaty is signed, it becomes the law of the land. As such, the United States and Nigeria have a legal obligation to comply with Article 25, which guarantees citizens the right to vote and to participate in the government of their country. However, there has been a violation of this law in Nigeria, leading NADECO, USA to call for action. He notes that Nigeria has descended into a "cryptocracy" with no due process, fundamental fairness, or respect for human rights. Despite promises by INEC to conduct a free and fair election, the recent presidential election was marred by violations of the law and lack of transparency. It is therefore important for the international community to pay attention to Nigeria and support efforts to promote democracy and respect for the rule of law. NADECO, USA is taking action to ensure that the results of the presidential election are in conformity with the extant laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and international human rights law, and to hold INEC accountable for any violations of the law. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26x3j6ac-xc |
Really? |
Smh. If na another party try this na, they will start ranting and disturbing everywhere. Wetin concern these kids with whatever or whoever yhu want to vote? |
They will still deny the attack. |
bdon123:I wonder o. Anyone not speaking in their favour is fake. If not that some people have serious problem. How exactly is it a bad thing to ask INEC to prove transparency of results? Lol, the man said "you have got numbers" ,show us how yhu got the number" ![]() |
Napata77:Lol. Why are yhu so pained though? If this is a piece of trash, why don't yhu just ignore then? Yes, lack of exposure to corruption and hypocrisy. It's obvious who the real slave is. I see how well exposed yhu are to stup!dity. Clap for yhurself, Mr. Suffering and smiling! |
9jahotblog:No wonder the US has refused to congratulate somebody. ![]() |
9jahotblog:Did yhu hear the part he said some results were first uploaded to the server but INEC later pulled them down....that one of the International Observers noticed they pulled it down because someone didn't like the results?.....Then he continued to say there was vote buying, bribery and corruption. Chai! |
What a good time to be alive in Nigeria. Hope we are all seeing where this whole thing is heading already. |
The US has said INEC has to prove that the results of the 2023 presidential election announced were true. Says INEC did the election in the old fashion way instead of electronically transferring the election results. According to them, one of the International Observers Dr. Gabe observed that there were vote buying, bribery and corruption. Speaking further, says despite INEC "efforts" nothing good happened, but back to the same old thing, same old efforts. "So, what do we do in the United States? What do we do as an international attorney and as an international Law effort? What do we do to ensure that democracy can thrive, so that the promise of 1960 can come true again, hopefully...... We are asking INEC to prove the transparency in the variacity of the results announced. If the results were true, they should be able to prove it. It's absolutely not extraordinary to ask INEC to prove it. Show me the maths, we've all gone to school, show me the maths; you have got a number, show me how you got that number, prove what you did. There could be no debate that the United investigation indicates that there were savages. The rule was savaged, the rights of the electorates were savaged..... We also call upon the international community to join together with the Nigeria judiciary....to condemn and set aside the hastily announced results and instead proceed in solemn seriousness, this deserves"..... Has anyone collected the old notes from the bank or ATM so far? Well, luckily for me, I didn't fall victim of that. I hardly keep upto 100k cash at home, for what exactly? The only reason yhu will find any substantial amount of cash with me is if I close late and it's past 5PM...... The little raw cash left with me was spent before CBN madness started. My advise, no matter what yhu do eh, try get a banker as friend. No say I no tell yhu.
